A list of puns related to "Farkle"
Argument just came up during a Christmas game of the dice rolling classic Farkle. It's the final round, and my sister must reset so she can roll all six dice again to have enough points to win. On her previous roll she had the choice to either roll two dice or one die to reset. We can't agree on which option gives her the better probability to keep rolling. Crash course in the rules. A one or a five will let her keep rolling. If both dice on the first roll are a one or five she automatically gets to reset and roll all six again. If only one of the two is a one or five, she has to roll the last die and get a one or five again to reset and keep rolling. Hopefully I've made the problem clear enough, but I can always clarify if needed.
So with the less-than-ideal weather, I've taken to installing a few "farkles" on my bike (a fellow riding coworker introduced me to the term) -

Never thought I'd be rooting so hard for another man to
BUST
I just had a bust on my first throw twice in a row. Then my opponent got 2500 in a single turn to win it lol.
Funny title, but really that's what it feels like putting this ad together.
Asking price: $6500 Located in Astoria, Queens
2011 BMW R1200GS for sale in NYC
Vin #: WB1046000BZX51926
Mileage: 78,000 (will get exact number soon)
Has ABS, ESA suspension, and factory heated grips
The bad:
Salvage mark on the NJ title. Iβve been riding this since 2019, and the previous owner bought the bike at auction in Michigan, got a clear/rebuilt title then. If you are buying in NY State, be aware that it does need to go through an inspection, which the DMV told me is basically about identifying stolen parts. The process will take about 30 days from beginning to end.
Repaired damage on the engine block - Per the previous owner: βthe engine guard bolt caused a small crack/oil leak in the case. I sanded down the fins in a 2" x 2" area and put JB Weld on itβ. In my time riding and owning the bike, it has never been an issue.
Reason for selling: Iβve been a daily commuter in NYC for almost 9 years, but the pandemic has changed things. I work from home 100% of the time, and weβve now got two young dogs at home, as well as several other projects. Even if I didnβt have any obstacles with this particular bike, I basically donβt have any time for riding right now.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Do we have some mathematicians here, who could calculate the odds of throwing six ones in KC:D Farkle, when you have 2 Lucky Playing Dice, 2 Heavenly Kingdom Dice, 1 Shrinking Die and 1 Odd Die?
I'm interested because I got my first (and probably only) last night.
Did clip it if anyone is interested. https://clips.twitch.tv/FurrySuspiciousMuleKappaRoss-wIRLaGoIVB_0P5Oq
Hey Guys, so, one thing I didn't understand is Farkle's cultural history. Why was he so upset over it, and why didn't he want to share?
Anybody got an idea when theyβre going to NOT be sold out?
Say I have 6 dice. If I roll all 6 dice what is the probability I get exactly 3 ones (exactly 3 aces).
Here's a table for the correlations between how many of a certain die you are using, and the average resulting scores, as well as your chances of not farkling with 6 dice:
Die | Score Correlation | Score Chance Correlation | # Available |
---|---|---|---|
Lucky Playing | 0.5097 | 0.5405 | 6 |
Heavenly | 0.4047 | 0.2204 | 4 |
Lucky | 0.2662 | 0.1881 | 4 |
Odd | 0.1702 | 0.3221 | 6 |
Shrinking | 0.1119 | -0.0238 | 3 |
Strip | 0.0679 | 0.0862 | 1 |
Biased | -0.007 | 0.1102 | 2 |
Devil | -0.0567 | -0.1728 | 6 |
Normal | -0.0959 | -0.0625 | 6 |
Henry's Beta | -0.2096 | -0.1376 | 1 |
Holy Trinity | -0.2288 | -0.2125 | 4 |
Even | -0.3112 | -0.4971 | 6 |
Unpopular | -0.3167 | -0.1819 | 6 |
Misfortune | -0.376 | -0.1912 | 3 |
Notes:
Here are the averages for using 6 Lucky Playing dice, based on how many of them you are currently rolling:
# of Dice | Average Score | Scoring Chance |
---|---|---|
6 | 856 | 100.0% |
5 | 560 | 100.0% |
4 | 348 | 99.5% |
3 | 196 | 97.4% |
2 | 100 | 88.9% |
1 | 50 | 66.7% |
You could use this to get a rough idea of whether to pass or keep rolling, but a disclaimer: these average scores don't take future rolls into account.
