A list of puns related to "Evelyn Ward"
As a gold player, I loath seeing Evelyn on the other team. I already know sheβs going to make the game miserable for my team. Thereβs so little counter play against her. What is the trick? Ward jungle camps and predict her movements?
A tactic I see frequently, and one I agree with, is Eve ambushing my jungler at level 5, almost always successfully. I hate it, but itβs exactly what I want to see from Evelyn players. So how does someone prevent Evelyn from just doing whatever she wants after 5?
With the introduction of Rengar, I think itβs going to get even worse for lanes, especially duo since theyβre generally squishy. A good Rengar player will path to lanes where they know wards donβt normally go (straight down lane, past the tower, for example). Once heβs stealthed, itβll be almost too late for you when you detect him.
I know this is low elo problems, but given the fact that the majority of players are gold and lower, this is a majority problem. An easy fix is vision wards. I was shocked that they werenβt introduced into the game from the start. Thoughts?
if the preseason pathes come isnt evelyn becoming op if pink wards arent stealth anymore than you cant see evelyn anymore on the map and she can simply destroy your pinks???
From Injustice by Whitson:
>Lou Smit and I are unaware of any other case throughout history where a parent strangled their child with a garotte. (Whitson, 110, published in 2012)
I've done some digging, and I've found a handful of cases where parents have killed their children via ligature strangulation (as well as a few edge cases where I haven't been able to establish if the cause of death was manual or ligature strangulation).
As with some of my intruder murder posts, I find it interesting to contrast known elements of the Ramsey case with known elements of resolved cases to see if anything seems to line up.
This allows us a little insight into why a parent chooses to kill their child in this manner, among the least common method of killing in filicides. (For the morbidly curious the most common are smothering, drowning and beating. This was such depressing research.)
If anyone knows of any other cases, please leave them in the comments.

>She was born Amy Smart in West Brighton on 16 February 1872 and married Frederick James Gregory (born 5 June 1867, Worthing) in Richmond in 1889. Her first child, Amy Sarah Ann, was born on 13 May that year and this was followed by the birth of a son, James William Walter, on 27 January 1892. In 1891 they were living at Albert Road, Richmond. Frederick was variously described as a groom, coachman, house-painter, 'paperhanger' (1911) or paper monger (1939). Her parents, John and Ann Smart, were living at Sheendale Terrace in 1891, and at 96 Mortlake Road in 1901.

With the new patch coming next week what buffs and nerfs would you like to see from Champs or items?
I would love to see pink wards since that will nerf Evelyn without even touching her also helps with setting vision without relying on our trinkets. Also, I'm pretty sure pink wards are way overdue at this point with everyone asking since this game was released to NA servers.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I admit, Iβm a lazy SOB. I wasnβt feeling my build, and wanted to rush the ending and restart. So I go into the point of no return and I havenβt finished romancing anyone. Didnβt save one key character either, if you know what I mean, because thatβs a totally hidden option and I was assuming βheβll snake out of it somehowβ - noooo. Nope.
I wake up in the hospital and go through all that psych-ward hell and then the ending!
Well holy shit, I am traumatized.
You go in this way, there is NOBODY for you at the end. You feel so ALONE.
That Hellman asshole tells you youβre dying, and says, you should call your friends? And you DONβT HAVE ANYONE! (Besides old uncle Vic who I only talked to three times). Holy shit it feels bad man. Iβve never felt this bad after a game. Ever.
After Jackie, and Evelyn and now this cold hopeless ending. Holy crap. I donβt think I can replay the game. Itβs too much.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes

Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
I wrote this for a paper in uni. I was supposed to analyze a piece of literature and M*A*S*H seemed to be a good choice as I love the show. What are everyone's thoughts or disagreements?
The final episode of the iconic TV series M*A*S*H, "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" was the most-watched TV episode of all time with the white house reportedly suspending operations to watch the two-hour-long finale. This episode follows a certain Captain Hawkeye Pierce, well known to the audience as a comedic genius at this point, and his final days in the Korean War and with his comrades within the 4077 MASH. The narrative arc, spawned from the morbid reality of war, is a commentary on events about the time of the airing of the episode.
The overall disgust with the war and its effects is demonstrated through the character Klinger. Klinger, the company clerk, spent the entire show doing anything he thought would get him out of the army early, including regularly wearing dresses and dressing up in a giant pink bird suit, finds that he is in love with a Korean refugee. He goes as far as driving a jeep directly into the active front line to assist her in looking for her parents as artillery shells explode all around. The episode ends Klinger's story without returning to Toledo, OH, and staying in Korea with his new bride. Klinger, who continually wished of returning home to Toledo never materialized, living out his life in the place he once loathed with the entirety of his being. In Klinger's story, he was happy where he ended up, but for many, especially veterans of the war in Vietnam, their trauma doesn't allow them to move on. They become trapped and any way that they turn they fall deeper into the pit, unable to recover. During this time thousands were trapped in the events of the last decade with no path to recovery.
With the shock of veteran suffering still fresh, the consciousness of America is at a point in time where it has realized that it can never go back. People realized weaknesses and problems within how America operated and what the costs were. The cultural changes of the previous decades were permanent, the new America was one of immense personal sacrifice with little to nothing to show for it. Those that had sacrificed were portrayed as the enemy of the new America, even though they were blameless for the conflict, those who fought were culturally isolated, barred from reintegrating into American society when they returned from Vietnam.
The episo

Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?

Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
Whilst red ward can help set up ganks and pressure your opponent out of making high reward plays/picks, ive often found past like 20-25 minutes that the larger ward inventory from yellow ward is far more useful.
Consider the following scenario: You go to dragon to contest with your team; since with a sona your team will mostly be clunked together, your opponent kinda knows where you all are anyway if they can see any one of you. The biggest threat to you is:
Getting ambushed Getting flanked Getting pushed into a place where you cannot actually see your enemy, taking away precious reaction time to dodge abilities. As a result, its useful to spend all your wards lighting the place up like a christmas tree; is this not the best DEFENSIVE move? (Sona wants to play defensive, like a big turtle!). Your opponent will try and remove them, so to keep the tactical vision advantage, you need a larger ward inventory. Further, lets say you take drag after a winning teamfight and rush to baron; youve used all your support item wards so the place is totally dark! Thats scary dangerous, you cant position properly without knowing the enemies precise location. Ah, again, yellow trinket saves the day.
Yellow ward gives 2 more wards in inventory and grants another every minute for later plays without needing to base. Blue ward however is better when you need to step into fog of war to get to the objective. The only time i can think red is better is during drag/baron flips to reduce chance enemy can steal, but pink wards are better for that anyway. Maybe if they have an Evelyn or quinn that is invading often.
Theres also that wierd cdr ward item, ixtal cube or smth, ive never built it though. Prolly better to save your gold for ap, idk. Thoughts? Am i missing some crucial aspect and inting or is this good reasoning?

Author's Note: Sorry about missing the last update. We'll call it seasonal depression.
Cassandra escorted us to the range. A trio of targets had been set up.
βReg, I know you know the basics of hydromancy, so if I walked Evie through basic glaciomancy, do you think you could instruct her through the theory if she had any questions?β
βIβm sure I could.β He said, I nodded. I instructed Evie in the basics of wandless Glaciomancy. Elemental manipulation was easier without a wand. I supervised her through the initial creation of an icy javelin. Usually an experienced mage would be able to bleed the heat off the transmutation and use that to create fire, but that was something Iβd teach her later. After I was sure she could do such a task, I looked at Cassandra.
βCan you reach for your element for me?β I asked.
βSure," she said. Β She closed her eyes, and called her Power. I resisted the urge to use a stinging spell on her, but on second thought.
βWhat was that for?β She yelped.
βYou should be aware of your surroundings at all times, if you close your eyes in battle youβre dead. My guardian binds my eyelids open. Iβm treating you with kid gloves.β
βThatβs barbaric," she said.
βI get the same treatment.β Reg said, not looking away from Evieβs practice.
βHonestly, some instructors break limbs and rip your eyelids off.β He said, and I nodded.
βThat sounds painful," Evie said. Β She was a natural at glaciomancy. Sheβd progressed from one javelin to several smaller ones. Her hands had gained a blue-white glow as she immersed herself in her element and magic.
βDo it again and keep your eyes open.β I told Cassandra. She frowned in concentration and called forth her Power. A soft deep purple haze suffused her skin. I cast out my senses, attempting to trace the energy. It was all around me. In my lungs, traveling through my body and across my skin. I could feel every pound per square inch of air in the clearing. If I let go of the earth, I could fly. I knew it, knew it like I knew how to see or smell. I resisted that urge, but I longed to surrender to it.
βIs this how your magic always feels?β I asked.
βI wouldnβt call it magic, but yes.β Cassandra said with a frown.
βRelease your Power," I said. Β She did.
βNow, call your Power, and as you do, say the phrase aero invocare," I said.
βStephen-β
βReg, I had barely a dayβs training when I invented Iactus. She has Power," I said.
She twisted her wrist, called her magic, and intoned,
