A list of puns related to "Energy modeling"
Got this question for a job interview. I'm honestly confused about what exactly the question is even asking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
"Name 3 inputs needed for modeling the performance of a solar energy system?"
I am a former energy engineer who has experience with interpreting and verifying energy models, but not building them. My job has always been to verify and spot-check the inputs that were put in the energy model are correct. So I have a general understanding of energy modeling. During the pandemic, I was transferred to another dept at my company to be a project manager, but I am itching to get back to do engineering work. I am very seriously considering learning eQUEST/Trane Trace/Carrier HAP to start a career as an energy modeler. I have a few questions:
Thank you for any insight!
Solar digital solutions start-up to integrate performance tool into its suite of digital solutions
Solar digital solutions startup Terabase Energy today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PlantPredict, a predictive solar energy modeling tool, from First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: $FSLR), a leading American solar technology company. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

This bill was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology which will consider it before sending it to the House floor for consideration.
Fellow architects, are you using the Cove.Tool for energy modeling, codes, and/or design at work? If so, please elaborate and thank you!
Hi all - Iβm a recovering energy investment banker. I see a lot of posts asking how to do financial modeling, and I can tell you from experience the best way to learn is 1on1 training.
If interested, I can provide you with sample work, and, if you like what you see, we can discuss tutoring arrangements.
PM me for more details.
If you know of a better community, let me know. Other ones related to modeling seem dead. I have some background in energy modeling from school but I currently work in a field that's related. I been playing with programming as a hobby and have thought about incorporating energy plus or something. Any help would be cool.
Energy modeling measures and improves what an Architect designs to minimize the life cycle costs of utility bills, equipment and is an open conversation for what the building could become when all disciplines work together. Often, energy modeling is one of the most valuable tools during the early (or sometimes later) design phase of a building for optimizing the building envelope and mechanical system design. The pre-design stage is the perfect time to start thinking about energy modeling for energy efficiency.
Experienced engineers will help architects gain deeper insight into energy modeling and its benefits, fully realizing the maximum energy benefits in their future designs.

Hi,
Can anybody recommend courses for energy modeling ??? Want to learn nitty gritty things for modeling a system . Probably not as concerned with software being used.
Would want to learn fundamentals of energy modeling.
Thank you very much !!!!!
I'm quite new to the field, and actually am a mathematician. I was wondering if there is a way to model (find the equation of) the reaction progress (more specifically, the activation energy functions) using some equation?
An example of activation energy function
Optimally I'd like to use some graphing calculator like Desmos to write the equation and get a similar function.
