A list of puns related to "En (typography)"
Hi,
I want to share with you the app I have developed, it's called Text Photo. This app can be used to convert a picture into text artwork. You can choose from over 1000 fonts and you can provide up to 20 words, the result is controlled by parameters.
The output is similar to ASCII art or maybe word cloud, however, it is not some random shape but looks similar to the original picture (the picture is rendered purely from the provided words and contains nothing but text).
Usage:
App features:
Text Photo contains no ads, and it's free to use if you don't mind one word which will always be present in your word list and the link to the app.
Here are some samples.
Let me know what you think about this app!
Hi all--
I have a paragraph set in all italics.
If I have a magazine name in this paragraph--should it be set in non-italics?
TIA--
Hi everyone. I'm new to learning about typography and specifically how to pair different fonts together for social media content.
What are general guidelines for it? I know some basics about fonts like pairing serif and sans serif together, same font but bold/not bold, and... that's it lol
I'd appreciate any insight or sources you may have! I'm new to this.
Happy holidays.

i've been slowly researching this and am hoping to get some new ideas, pls and thank you everybody!
i'm interested in creating something in illustrator (layout program) with typography and some flat graphics and then (easily) transferring / printing that onto wood.
i'd love it to be fairly durable, but doesn't have to be carved or burned
these are the ways i've found for doing so:
-printing onto a transfer paper then ironing or rubbing the transfer onto wood and then using wood burning tool to darken the surface - this is a bit too time consuming
-purchase a larger machine that will take a design and laser etch it or a guided router
does anybody have experience with one of these automated machines and can you recommend a particular one?
is there anything in-between these two extremes? i'm not quite ready to purchase a larger machine although that's probably the best way to go.
is there something where i could email a file to a service that would print out some sort of peel and stick label that is on the more durable side? is that a thing?
any other ideas? i'd really prefer NOT to sit and hand trace / burn every letter ... and i'd prefer not to have to buy a very expensive machine (although that might be my best bet)
thank you!
What are some things I should look for in my typography, things I should do and shouldnβt do. Like one thing I like to add to my typography is gradients and Iβve been told that just looks amateurish.
