I-765 Employment Authorization Document still processing after 180 day extension. Need help.

My Wife’s Ead expired July 2021 and we received an extension for 180 days. The extension will end soon and we dont know what to do. The last status update was Dec 30, 2021 stating fingerprints were updated. Can she work after the extension and wait for it? Any advise or help is appreciated.

Dont know if this can help her case but she also has an I-485 pending and is just pending an interview. We filed this February 2020.

Employment Authorization Document (EAD)

Hello, I really need help. So I have filed for the renewal of my EAD back in February, I received a receipt of notice in March and my card has been under review ever since then.

I have a 180 days extension from the date that my current EAD expired but my extension is coming to end and I still have not received any update from USCIS.

Last year when I filed for the renewal of my EAD, it only took 2 months. It’s been over 4 months now and I still don’t have my EAD. I’m freaking out because I have bills to pay and cannot be without a job. Is there anything I can do??

I also should have received my green card last year but we did not receive any notices until the application was outside of the normal processing time.

They requested for more evidence which we’ve sent and they sent us a notice that they have received it and they are continuing on our case.

We are suppose to get a response 90 days after they received the evidence but we did not hear anything. I called USCIS and they told me that they had waived my interview so all they have to do is send us the card but it’s been over 5 months already and I have not received my green card or any update.

If anyone know if there is anything I can do to continue to work please let me know.

J-1 waiver aldıktan sonra EAD (Employment Authorization Document )' ye başvurmak

Merhaba,

Do I need to update Employment Authorization Document after receiving a green card?

Hi everyone,

I got my greencard in August 2020. I started a job back in June 2020 with my EAD (one year validity) card. Now that I have got my greencard, am I required to update that with HR and adjust my I-9 document accordingly?

I am authorized to work with either document but the reason I asked that question is whether that would hurt my naturalization later on. In the naturalization application, there is a question specifically asks that ‘have you ever called yourself a non-US resident on a Federal, State, Local tax return since you became a lawful permanent resident?’

Thank you very much

Anything I can do to get my Employment Authorization Document, or any legal recourse?

I am 99% sure the answer is going to be "you can't do anything", but thought I'd check.

I applied for an OPT visa in the early Summer. Approximately a month after I applied I moved house, so had to submit a change of address.

I did this, and the OPT was approved a couple of weeks later. However, USCIS did not process the change of address. Consequently my employment authorization document (EAD) was sent to my previous address, and then returned as undeliverable.

I then put in request for the documents to be resent to my new address. This request has not been processed.

I followed up after 30 days (USCIS's own processing timeline) and then informed me that they could resubmit the request, and that it would be dealt with faster. It is now 50 days since my original request to resent my EAD was submitted, twenty days since the resubmission.

As the documents have already been approved, the one year timer on the OPT has already started. So far I have lost out on just under 2 of my 12 months of employment eligibility. Furthermore, I have lost out on about $8,000 in lost wages from not working the past couple of months, and have lost the job I would've had up until the end of 2019, which means a total of around $15,000 in lost wages due to this delay.

Is there anything I can do?

How do I proceed with errors in my Employment Authorization Document (US)?

Hi all,

Not sure how relevant this post is here, but I'm an F-1 student who applied for OPT and I received my EAD card in the mail. However, there's an error from USCIS' end because instead of making the card valid for a year from the employment start date (Oct 2nd week 2018 to Oct 2nd week 2019), they've given the expiry date as Aug 3rd week 2019. This is very unfair since everyone else who've received their card has the validity for a year from the start date.

I'm confused on what would be the best thing to do right now. Do I send back the card with an application and risk losing it/ waiting forever to get back a replacement with the correction, or do I just swallow my bad luck and work with what I have right now? My ISO's advice is that I don't send my card back and work with what I have until Aug 3rd week, and then proceed to apply for STEM extension and hope that during this period, I can get a H1B visa.

I however, think that since my application was accepted, it's alright to send the card back once I've started employment and hope that I get those extra 8 weeks that I am missing out on. Some of my friends suggested that I speak to an immigration lawyer as well on what they would recommend, hence the posting here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can I be on un-paid leave from my current company while waiting for an EAD (employment authorization document)?

Im currently working on a Trainee visa in California but I recently married my partner who is a US citizen and have filed the papers for the green card and an employment authorization document. When my Trainee visa ends, I expect that there will be some time before I receive my EAD so that I can legally work again.

In that interim, while I am waiting for the EAD, can my company give me unpaid leave (and keep me employed) so that i don't lose my benefits and stock etc, or is that not allowed. Any advice would be welcome :)

[TX] My friend's an international student, and her Employment Authorization for her OPT got denied due to her DSO not sending documents on time. Is there grounds for suing the school/DSO?

My friend recently graduated with a Master's in Public Health, and has a pretty good job lined up which she was supposed to start working in after she got her EAD approval card. Her DSO has not been particularly efficient from the beginning (The DSO used to do things such as missing appointments that she had agreed to, send blank emails with nothing in them etc, and this is all documented in various emails as well). My friend had been wanting to apply for her EAD, and had asked the DSO for relevant documents pretty early on, but the DSO had not been responsive, and finally sent her documents that my friend was supposed to fill out and mail to the USCIS, and had also told my friend that the USCIS wanted those documents by a certain day, which was also erroneous (The official USCIS requirement is within 60 days of graduating, but the DSO had given the documents to my friend ton the 40th day or so, and had told my friend that she ought to send them within 30 days AFTER she had given her the documents), and yesterday, my friend got an official letter from USCIS denying her application for the EAD because it was sent in late (They had expected it by July 15th, and her documents had only reached on the 21st). My friend is meeting with the international center today to figure out her next steps, where she also learned that her original DSO doesn't work with the university anymore. What're her options? Can she file an I-290B to reopen/reconsider the decision made by the USCIS, and send the emails with her DSO as proofs? Does she also have grounds for suing her former DSO, and/or the school, as it was their mistake that resulted in her not getting employment authorization and a loss of potential income from the job she has had lined up? More importantly, what are her options to maintain legal status?

We want her to retain her current (non-US-based) job while the EAD process is underway so we're not financially worse off.

Employment authorization document (EAD) duration of validity

My girlfriend and I are both French citizens. She has a research scholar position in Stanford until 03-2017, staying in the US with a J1 visa. We are planning to get married and to ask for a J2 visa and an EAD (Employment authorization document) for me as soon as possible, so I will be able to find a data scientist position in the bay area. My question is: How long does the EAD allow me to work in the US? In other words, will we be able to stay in the US after the end of her contract if I have a position only with my EAD, or do I require an H1B visa supported by my future employer to stay?

Expired employment authorization documents (USA)

Hi All,

I have an employee who was hired with us in 2013 then in April of this year her employment authorization card expired. We placed her on an unpaid administrative leave while she gathered her renewed EAC. We usually allow 3 months of this leave maximum as any longer than that we would need to put a person through re-training.

Unfortunately, due to USCIS office backups, she didn't receive her card until last week. She was off of work nearly 4 months. The business is looking to terminate her because she went past that 3 month window.

Would that be any kind of discrimination/ is it legal for us to term her?

Personally, I'd like to bring her back on board but I don't have that kind of decision making influence. It wasn't her fault that USCIS took that long in getting her card to her. She applied for the updated card in February and just got it.

Any advice?

FINALLY got my employment authorization after 10 months: Looking for a job in Raleigh. Please read below:

So quick context: I’m a recent immigrant to your beautiful country. What should’ve taken two months at worst, has taken 10 months and now I FINALLY have my work authorization from the government. So even though I wanted to work this past year I couldn’t as I wasn’t legally allowed to. It was tough to survive 10 months with no official job but I live to tell the tale.

Now that I can finally work, I want to restart my life and continue to remain in Raleigh, a city I have come to love the last two years. The reason for this post is that being on this sub for the last year has shown me how powerful this community is. Y’all have helped out so many people with many different things and I have seen so many success stories on here (for example; the guy who started his lighting business thanks to this sub).

I’m just hoping for some leads that could turn into something. I have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and a masters degree in engineering management from Duke. I have a few years or work experience in engineering and project management. My masters degree had a focus in operations and supply chain. I’m interested in project management type roles in engineering or supply chain field. That being said, I feel I have been given a second chance at life and I’m open to all kinds of jobs, I just want to start working and give back to this beautiful country. I’m chasing happiness now, not job titles or money. I’ve already applied for jobs at Target while I search for a full time position.

So if you have any leads that’s might help me please connect with me in the comments or via DMs. I have an unrestricted work authorization and DO NOT require any kind of sponsorship/visa.

Please be kind to me. I’ve had a rough year and I need all the positivity I can get. Admins, please delete if this is inappropriate. Thank you r/Raleigh for being awesome and giving me hope.

Is there a way for an employer to verify employment authorization without having my social security card?

Long story short, the safe deposit box my parents have does not contain my social security card or birth certificate, as I previously thought.

I am supposed to provide one of those two documents for my new employer. Is there a way for the employer to verify without those documents? I know E-Verify through the Department of Homeland Security is an option, but it doesn't seem like all business use that.

I have been trying to call my local SSA office, but no one is answering, and they are not taking walk ins at this time. A bit of scrambling right now.

Obviously I have already requested new documentation, but that is going to take weeks to arrive. Any ideas?

Thanks!!!

“Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports.” Concrete Evidence: confidential documents that show PFIZA and the eff-D4 knew in early 2021 that PFIZA'S COVEX were keeling thousands of people and causing spontaneous abortions while damaging three times more women than men.

One confidential document in particular was part of a court-ordered release of eff-D4 files that the eff-D4 fought by claiming the agency should have 55 years to release this information. A court judge disagreed and ordered the release of 500 documents per month, and the very first batch of documents contained this bombshell entitled, “Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports.”Get it here:https://phmpt.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/5.3.6-postmarketing-experience.pdfThe document reveals that within just 90 days after the EUA release of PFIZA'S COVEX, the company was already aware of voluntary adverse reaction reports that revealed 1,223 d34ths and over 42,000 adverse reports describing a total of 158,893 adverse reactions. The reports originated from numerous countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain and other nations.Aside from “general disorders,” the No. 1 most frequently reported category of PFIZA'S COVEX adverse reactions was Nervous system disorders, clocking in at 25,957 reports.PFIZA has withheld the total number of doses released across the world, citing corporate trade secrets. This is indicated by “(b) (4)” in the document, where specific numbers and facts are redacted.Even these numbers — already quite shocking, given the eff-D4s insistence that PFIZA'S COVEX are “safe and effective” — barely scratch the surface of the damage and d34ths caused by these PFIZA'S COVEX. “Reports are submitted voluntarily, and the magnitude of underreporting is unknown,” says PFIZA on page 5.

Three times as many women damaged, compared to men

Shockingly, the document reveals that more than three times as many women were damaged by the PFIZA'S COVEX, compared to men. There were 29,914 adverse events recorded in women, with just 9,182 recorded in men. It is not known whether the same number of men and women took the PFIZA'S COVEX, but this number exposes the very real possibility of a gender-specific PFIZA'S COVEX damage risk that the eff-D4 went to great lengths to cover up.Anecdotally, most of the neurological damage we’ve seen in people who have been damaged by the PFIZA'S COVEX — convulsions, numbness, pain, etc. — has been depicted in women, not men. It looks like the eff-D4 knows the PFIZA'S COVEX exhibits a disproportionate, gender-specific damage profile that also affects women in terms of spontan
