A list of puns related to "Emotional Stroop test"
Processing speed test. At the end of test it will display percentile. Compared with an online population.
The stroop test is the test where coloured words flash on the screen such as red, blue, green, yellow and you are expected to indicate the colour of the word not select the colour the word states.
I was doing this test today as part of a research experiment and the research host was surprised by my fast time and zero mistakes. I just wondered what that actually indicates.
I am writing a paper on the reliability and validity of the stroop test to be done ASAP can anyone help? COMMENT if you can help
Hello all,
I've just finished collecting data for a study I'm working on and am now in the process of organizing it for some linear regression modeling. One of the variables for the model involves scores from a Stroop task I designed using E-Prime. Stroop tasks measure attentional control ability and that's an element I'm investigating in my research. I have gathered information about reading times (RTs) AND accuracy from my participants in both congruent and incongruent conditions but most of the experiments I read about that use the Stroop task only report effects from RTs and don't include a participant's accuracy on the trials in their formulas. The traditional Stroop effect that you might know about never incorporates accuracy into the score. So, for example, researchers might use the following formula to assess a person's "resistance to interference" ability:
Resistance to interference score (aka Stroop effect) = RTs on incongruent trials - RTs on congruent trials
The idea here is that the lower the score, the better one's ability to resist the interfering input. Other studies tabulate only accuracy by, for example, subtracting a person's percent accuracy in congruent trials from percent accuracy in incongruent ones. In this way, higher values reflect better attentional control ability. What I'd like to do though is combine accuracy and RTs into one score because a participant could have fast RTs but be very inaccurate in judgement. Now, I'm having trouble coming up with a rubric or formula to assess this. The Stroop task literature suggests that there needs to be a formula that includes both RTs and accuracy in it but, as of now, there are a lot of inconsistencies because no one standard model has been adopted.
Do any of you have an idea for a formula for a Stroop score that could include both RTs and percent accuracy? Or should I just include RTs and accuracy as separate variables in a regression model?
Thank you for reading!
Iβm very smooth-brained but I can peel my own banana. Can someone walk me thru the basics of what a stroop attack accomplishes? Whatβs the point?
We should run analysis on the ledger to figure out how much did it cost them so far, and it's been going on for days now LOL

I'm on mobile sorry for the format.
Anywho. This just happened around 30 minutes ago while we were eating sushi at a local restaurant that we frequent. My (29m) fiancΓ© (29f) and I went out for dinner like we usually do on Friday nights. I work 6 days a week and im the sole cook in the house. So cooking after a 13 hr shift isn't likely for me. I work 2 jobs one at a restaurant and the other at a fiberglass manufacturing warehouse. So 60-70 hrs a week isn't uncommon for me. I rarely cook nowadays. My fiance is currently in college and about to take her TEAS exam. Which as far as I know is a test to determine if she gets into nursing school. Btw she is making mostly As and is on the deans list. Which doesn't surprise me bc she's very smart when it comes to medical stuff. I'm sure she's going to pass as are all her professors.
Well her and my brother (41m) share the same birthday on Dec 5th. Her test is on Dec 6th soo for her birthday she is going to have her head in the books studying. Which she does all the time and I respectfully be a fly on the wall and tend to our 7yr old without any friction (bc to me being a parent isn't a hindrance but a necessary job) so I this knowing she needs the attention solely on her studying.
Here's the issue. My brother invited me to have dinner at a restaurant called Bubba Gump. It's based off the movie forest gump of course. We both love the movie and recently we lost our mom to covid and additionally we don't get a long with our sisters (3 of them and mainly bc they're selfish ghetto bitches) so I feel like him and I need to lookout for one another which he always done with me. Also! This past month he had a medical issue to which he almost lost his life so I guess I just feel for him and wanna lookout for him also.
She was invited and I asked her to spare 3 hrs at the most to go eat with us and she insisted that there's "no way in hell" she would go bc she has to study. Okay? Cool. But she is firm that she isn't going. And I called her rude and callous bc if the shoe was on the other foot there would be no hesitation from me. She called me a selfish asshole and demand that I be there while she studies. I kinda got pissed and things escalated.
I just wanna know? Am I the selfish asshole she says I am??
TLDR: gf called me an asshole bc I wanna eat bday dinner with bro instead of being a fly on the wall while she studies.
DKEFs refers to the Stroop test as Color-Word Interference test. Why do they refer to it as this instead of the more readily recognized Stroop?
I started playing around with Android Studio at the beginning of July and after a month of Youtube tutorials and experimentation, I've completed my first game - Chroma!
The game is based on the Stroop effect and the goal is to simply see how far you can get!
Here's the link to the app in the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aelment.thatj.chroma
Please give it a try and all feedback is welcome!
Predictably Father goes: That can't be right, you have no empathy.
I just laughed inside myself while saying: Well, it's what it is.
Honestly I don't give a shit what he thinks. Just because I have no empathy for him anymore doesn't mean jack shit.
:D
