So I decided to switch things up: I’m rewatching Beverly Hills backwards. Lol. I’m finding comfort in getting back to housewives after an abundance of (continuing) life stress.

I’m on season season 7. Honestly I like Eileen a lot because she seems laid back and kind of quirky, and she’s pretty good at taking LVP to task. But it has been a while since I’ve rewatched Beverly Hills so I’m interested to see if or how my opinion changes. I wanted to know what you all think of her, it seems the majority likes her a lot but I also remember her being viewed as boring once upon a time ago.

I’m rewatching Eileen’s first season and just saw the episode where she explained the whole thing and Brandi threw wine in her face 😂 It was a trip.

It’s 2:30am EST and I’m doing a rewatch of RHOBH and can I just say that Eileen Davidson is one of the most lovely, level-headed, do no harm but take no shit women to ever play this Housewives game? I never appreciated her until rewatching from the beginning. Classy and interesting and kept the drama moving without being a hysterically disingenuous pot-stirrer like some others (ahem, Rinna). Miss having her voice of reason in the mix. Anyway, that’s all. Thanks for listening to my insomniac rant and enjoy your Sunday!

1. Why do you think she didn’t come back? Too boring? She didn’t have much going on but I thought she was so sweet and there have been more boring housewives. Looking at you Jackie and Dolores.

When you look through my post history, I am undoubtedly a fan of Eileen. Maybe she's just too normal, too nice? Maybe she just appeals to me in the same way a beloved Aunt does? Any which way you cut it, there's this:

Eileen. Does. Not. Deserve. The. Hate. She. Gets.

LVP's fans have been fanning the flames of Eileen's potential firing ad nauseam since last season. I get it. She took the LVP upsetting her storyline too far. I do think LVP knew she was striking a nerve in the Hamptons with her probing of Eileen... in all fairness, she never did/nor will she ever receive an apology from LVP because LVP cannot and will not see that she has ever done anything wrong! I'm not a LVP hater, just stating the facts. Her and Miss Nene Leakes are on the same level of egomania.

The other long running criticism of Eileen is her defense of Lisa Rinna. Regardless of Lipsa's blunders, their friendship is refreshingly candid and unlike the "alliance friendships" or "friendships of convenience" formed in HW franchises. She and Rinna both had their own issues with LVP last season, so Eileen did not let Rinna "fight dirty" for her--they were simply on the same page with LVP. There is literally no benefit to Eileen standing by her friend this season other than just to be a good friend. She is reasonable and she has openly distanced herself from and downright disavowed some of Lipsa's more incredulous statements.

She can hold her own in an argument (i.e, her blogs and talking heads). She's smart, quick-witted, kind-hearted, and doesn't play the "game" of the show. None of these qualities play into a "boring" housewife

To anyone who thinks Eileen is truly a beast... I only have this to say.

Can't wait for goddess Eileen to be back. Here is every single reason why Eileen is the true HBIC, and how the other housewives fell into her plan during season 5. This is like some Frank Underwood House of Cards shit.

First, we need to establish her credibility. She has a lifetime of training for this role, and let's face it, a good HBIC can't be anyone without first securing finances (how does $750,000 sound?).

The best part about Eileen is how to portrays herself. She is a stone-cold, vindictive bitch who also just so happens to be introverted. Those two traits together make for someone who is a strategic mastermind who also knows not to expose their true inner nature by acting completely the opposite.

Eileen just needed to be patient before one of the other Housewives crossed her, because it's not cool to just go into a new group of people and just beat the shit out of someone to get your point across. She waited, and her future victim did not take long to expose her dirty, fishy head.

To completely destroy Brandi to satisfy Eileen's bloodlust, it was important for Eileen to seem like she was over the incident so that no one would look her way once Brandi's body was found. She played it off and made it seem like she was over it. Little did we know that Eileen had much more in store.

For her ultimate endgame, it was important for Eileen to get the rest of the Housewives on her side. The fact that Brandi was supporting/enabling Kim was the perfect way to turn Kyle against Brandi. Eileen let Brandi show her true nature, and didn't care if there was any collateral damage. Hello everyone! In watching various installments in The Real Housewives franchise, I’ve noticed that each Housewife fits into some sort of role on the show. Well, it piqued my curiosity. This post will list all the different roles I’ve noticed while watching this franchise, break down said roles, and then I will list some of the Housewives that have occupied the role.

DISCLAIMER: I want to make a note about the examples I list. First, I’m only listing a maximum of three women, so if your favorite is not included, please understand that I’m not shading them. Listing every woman that belongs in each role would be incredibly tedious and redundant. Second, some women fit multiple roles. I will list a Housewife as an example only once; there will be no repeat names. Once again, that helps to limit redundancy. With all that being said, please enjoy the piece.

The Alpha Housewife – The Queen

This position is usually, but not limited to, an OG. This woman is often the glue of the show, and in a way oversees the tone of the show. They are also kind of like the Avatar – yes, I’m showing my nerdy side – in that they can encompass multiple, or all, of the different types of Housewife roles that we will discuss.

From a certain standpoint, this position is as unenviable as it is coveted. These women are placed on a pedestal as the face of the show. However, there is always another woman, or women, seeking to take down the Alpha Housewife for one reason or another. Envy could be the driving factor, or in many cases the Alpha Housewife has developed an enormous ego.

The downfall of these Housewives is often their ego. They can separate themselves from the rest of the women or manage to tick off all their castmates, resulting in a probable takedown. While they were once the lifeblood of the series, they can just as easily become the cancer.

The Messy Housewife

This role is arguably the most important in the Housewives world. The Messy Housewife is the instigator or initiator of drama, which places them at the center of said drama. Although the Housewives that occupy this role often draw the ire of fans, the truth is, these women provide us with the drama fans of this franchise so desperately crave.

Since so many of our beloved Housewives are currently on Cameo, I thought it would be really interesting to not only compare the vast range of prices but also watch several of them myself per each woman and give a personal rating.

Hope this is enjoyable! Please keep in mind the ratings are solely my own opinion and I tried to give them without any bias (quite a few of my least favorites ever got As):
