A list of puns related to "Dwayne McDuffie"
I would like to know
Doing my daily DCAU research,I noticed that Superman improving in strength and durability in season 2 was thanks to Dwayne McDuffie. I saw here on r/DCAU that the reason season 2 started off strong was as an apology to hardcore Superman fans. This is an unpopular opinion but I feel like Timm and other writers couldn't really balance Supermanβs powers(as seen in STAS and JL season 1 where his powers are inconsistent and he often gets shot up by a helicopter gun or iron man like lasers),I heard that the better fights in JLU are thanks to Joaquim Dos Santos. He improved the fight sequences that we see in JLU. What are your thoughts?
P.S Don't ask for a link because it was somewhere on the far and dark edge of the internet and it's way down in my history so I won't be able to locate it.
I have been reading McDuffie's run these past days and one scene in particular surprised me positively: some Dr. Doom from the future appears and gives his "the world is ending" blablabla we are used to, and while Reed, Namor and Black Panther fall for it, Sue doesn't buy it. She blows him off. "You literally tortured my child and tried to kill me in front of them multiple times, why would I ever trust you with them?".
It's kinda basic stuff because no woman in the world would let their children former torturer around their children, right? But nowadays Sue trusts Doom implicitly with her children and no one has ever explained why. There's no possible good explanation for it, obviously, but at least try it.
Sadly, things will never go back to that because Hickman's decision to have Sue trust Doom so much for no reason proved to be extremely popular and that's how all F4 writers write her nowadays. It's a shame.
So, which one do you prefer: McDuffie's Sue that doesn't trust her children's torturer to raise them, or Hickman's Sue who does?
One of my all-time favorite Fantastic Four moments. Some people think of them as being "bright, sunny characters," but Susan Storm Richards has a dark, violent streak that is brought out whenever she goes through a traumatic ordeal/when her loved ones are threatened. She looks flat-out evil in some of these panels. Awesome and also downright terrifying, especially considering the ways her powers could be used if she wasn't on the side of good.
Really wish McDuffie could have been on the book for at least 30 more issues, with Pelletier on art. This was a great, short run, and he completely got the voices of the characters right.

I was trying to find this but I failed
In Dwayne McDuffieβs run of FF (although I remember this scene clearly, I unfortunately donβt remember the issue), Mr. Fantastic explains the flow of time as follows:
Time is a river, with a set course that it always follows. If you drop a pebble into the river, there will be some ripples around the pebble, but the flow of water further down the river remains unchanged. If you drop a boulder into the river, you have bigger ripples but again further down the river is unchanged. It takes a truly huge event to actually re-route the river. You would need to set of a nuclear bomb or something to actually get the river to change its course.
So I would assume the TVA is concerned with the bigger ripples, but not the smaller ones. Perhaps Steve going back in time and marrying Peggy didnβt change the timeline in a substantial way (Easter egg of Peggy getting arrested in the background not withstanding). But who knows what kind of trouble Loki would have caused with the Tesseract.
First of all, I do not intend for this to be disrespectful to the late Mr. Mcduffie. Just a brief recollection of the Dwayne Mcduffie fan page where in he would occasionally answer fans questions.
I was actually able to ask him one question. Which was a big deal because I didn't have a lot of Internet access at the time. I asked what happened to the Ebon/Hotstreak fusion at the end of Static Shock?
He responded, "I don't know".
....
They had a bigger "dose" of the gas which, in the enclosed area, caused them to further mutate and fuse. After they are defeated we see a "fire portal" in the water suggesting he/they survived the battle against Static and Gear.
However, there's an airborne cure in Dakota.
Is it possible they had too much gas to be cured?
What do you think happened to him/them?

Apologies, mods, if this isn't allowed, but I'm not sure, and I wanted to spread the word.
If this auction goes well, I'll start auctioning off a whole mess of other complete runs for charity.

Thanks, everyone!
