Given the acclaim and popularity of the new show by masterfully combining old-school puppetry with CGI, and the surge in Hollywood to reboot/cash-in on '90s nostalgia, it seems like no better time to bring back the Jim Henson-made TMNT.
The first film wasn't just an extended version of the cartoon made only for little kids, it was funny but also mature like the original comics the series was based on. It struck a perfect balance of both, in a similar way to the original Dark Crystal film. II and III... ehh, not so much.
II was too kid-friendly (Leo and Raph couldn't use their blades) and III just bored kids to death even though the Feudal Japan story was a neat route to take. The sequels both had their moments, but paled in comparison (the budget being slashed on puppet effects of the Turtles and Splinter didn't help either).
So if a series was more like the tone of the first movie (sorry Vanilla Ice), and used the right blend of puppet live-action and not an overload of CGI (not sorry Michael Bay), a show continuation could be a real hit. Have the '90s Turtles frozen or lost somehow, and dropped back in the NYC thirty years from when they left. Only way I can think of to account for bringing back the original April and Casey if they didn't recast (Ralph would love making fun of Elias Koteas' lack of hair).
And if they wanted to explore elements of the comics not seen in any of the live-action films thus far... the Turtles could face the Triceratons. Those dudes would like stunning in the same detailed way the Skeksis do.
We should get a Nikki and Pauly spin-off series that also includes Vinny
I am having an audio sync problem with my setup and I'm not sure how to fix it. When playing Blu-ray movies on my Xbox Series X that is connected directly to the Game input on my receiver, I am getting noticeable audio lag. My setting for audio on the Xbox is 5.1 Uncompressed with App Passthrough enabled.
The lag seems to be where the audio is played before the video. Oddly, YouTube videos seem to be lag free. I am using bitstream out for the Blu-ray player application on the Series X, but changing the bitstream out (audio passthrough) setting off didn't seem to help.
I've got my TCL Series 6 television connected to the receiver via the eARC input (my receiver only outputs regular ARC). I've tried using a different HDMI input on the television to connect the receiver and it does the same thing.
I don't know what to troubleshoot next. Could it be an issue with the HDMI cables? Also, I've had this issue with another 4K Blu-ray player so I have a feeling it's not an Xbox issue.

I realize I am bringing the pain upon myself for watching MTV, but I can't stand a single thing about that new "double shot at love" jersey shore spinoff. That reality TV commercial announcer voice when he says "back with their double-shot exes", the girl yelling "yaaaaaaaassssssssss" like an idiot, the girls yelling "VEGASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" into a selfie stick...somebody kill me.

Double Shot at Love with Pauly D and Vinny has been the best reality TV I’ve seen in years! Who thinks there will be a 2nd season? I feel like ratings are so good that they will have a second season just like Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, etc

It kind of feels like I’m watching a season of Jersey Shore, but in Vegas. I don’t mind the girls now that they’re not competing for P&V (and it’s nice to see Nikki be apart of the group this time). The guys kind of suck though.
Season 2 seems to be a success. Not sure if this as been posted but do you all think there will be a Season 3. Pauly and Nikki are together and Vinny is not looking for love maybe a lay but not love. Any thoughts on cast.
1) The 6-ft-5 Connors had a short career in the NBA (career NBA stats). He was a PF/C who played in 53 games for the Boston Celtics (49 in ‘46-47, and 4 in ‘47-48).
1b) 1946-47 was the Celtics’ debut season, so Connors was one of the original Celtics players (he indeed played in the Celtics’ first ever game on November 2, 1946, at the Providence Steamrollers). That being said, this backboard shattering happened in the Boston Celtics’ first ever home game.
2) Connors is one of only 13 athletes ever to play in the NBA and MLB. As a major league baseball player, he was primarily a 1st baseman for the Cubs in 1951 (career MLB stats).
2b) The most notable athletes to have played in both the NBA and MLB are Dave DeBusschere (basketball HOF, 8x NBA All-Star, 2x NBA champ), Danny Ainge (2x NBA champ, 1x NBA All-Star, only HS athlete ever to be 1st-team All-American in basketball, football, & baseball), Gene Conley (4x MLB All-Star, 1x MLB champ, 3x NBA champ), Dick Groat (’60 MLB MVP, 8x MLB All-Star, 2x MLB champ, ‘52 college basketball POTY, college basketball HOF), and Mark Hendrickson (only person to do it this century: played with Nets in 2000, pitched in MLB from 2002-2011).
2c) It appears the only player ever to play in the NBA and the NFL was Bud Grant, who played 96 games with the Minneapolis Lakers in the early-50's (he won a title in '50) and then for 2 seasons with the NFL Eagles in the early-50's. Most notably, he's in the Pro Football HOF as a coach.
3) Chuck Connors is most famous for playing the role of a widowed rancher who’s good with a rifle in the hit TV show “The Rifleman” from 1958-63. He was an actor for over 40 years, often playing a cowboy who’s a skilled shooter.
4) Here is more information about the first shattered backboard: LINK and LINK. The game was delayed for an hour as another glass backboard was picked up across town, which was retrieved out of a pen of bulls at a rodeo by some drunken cowboys.
Pauly D has a big surprise for The Situation. Pauly D and Vinny send shock waves through the house when they break their “don’t hook up with your exes” rule. Meanwhile Derynn confronts Pretty Ricky again.

Can someone please tell me how this is double shot of love???they broke guys in there it looks totally different from last year where the girls are trying to compete for Vinny and Pauly. Did I miss something??? Is it me or are they trying to make another Jersey shore?
