A list of puns related to "Desperate Housewives (season 5)"
finally got around to making season 5, cant believe im almost done! https://youtu.be/OHzshA8l9eA
And I am really missing the Scavo boys version 1.0, and also I am finding it very striking how worse off everyone is
I love anything thriller, horror, drama / romance. I suck at finishing shows, Iβve attempted Hannibal, How To Get Away With Murder and Greys Anatomy but couldnβt stick them so a show early into itβs seasons or with a small few episodes is greatly appreciated. (YOU is probably my favourite TV show)
I am half way through season 4 and I know this show came out ages ago, I just started resuming where I stopped watching last time I saw it. Until it came to my attention that these characters are all so abhorrent and self-absorbed. I didn't realise that fictional characters that be this annoying like couldn't they give most of these characters more moments and scenes where they are actually likeable, when I say this I mainly mean the four main housewives not the other side characters. Half of the time I don't know if Marc Cherry and the writers wrote them out for us (maybe just me) to detest the housewives, they all have such terrible personality traits and are awful people, expect for Brie. I'm not saying all the housewives are downright horrible human beings, they do have their moments where they are somewhat likeable and tolerant, all I'm saying is that most of the time they are totally insufferable. But I guess that the reason why the show was made was to give an insight of how living a life full with unnecessary drama and living a life as a parasite and constantly wanting approval from loved ones and other can make you? When I mean living a life as a parasite, I mean feeding off others inconvenience and drama and being selfish. Also in my opinion, the only housewife that is reasonable, benevolent and badass was Brie. I hope some of the characters do improve throughout the season since I'm just on the fourth one. But I have no faith for most of them in regard of improvement. And I think everyone knows who
For timeline context, I watched devious maids in its entirety back when it premiered & i thought it was an amazing show with good writing & a great plot. I recently watched desperate housewives for the first time ever a couple of months ago and, obviously, i fell in LOVE. A phenomenal show. Anyway, i was bored and decided to re-watch devious maids [and rewatch DH concurrently] but, for some reason, devious maids is kinda terrible to me ? π. Iβm not sure if iβm coming off a high of the excellence that DH was [well some seasons] but devious maids isnβt hitting at allllllll π. it makes no sense considering i already watched & loved it.
13 days till its removed. I just started to rewatch the whole thing and Im only on season 2. I know its on disney+ in the UK and other places. Just not in America. Any other ways to stream or any news of it going to another streaming service? I never finished it the first time and I have to finish it this time.
Edited to add I'm in the U.S
So I think it is already well-known information that the cast had a long way feud, which's the main star was Teri Hatcher (Susan Myers). Basically, if you don't know, the cast shaded/exposed Teri for being stuck-up, there is a lot of interviews and information about it, so let's get into it.
Eva Longaria a.k.a Gaby.
She said that she was bullied during the filming of Desperate Housewives, which led to her terrible anxiety. Of course everyone thought of Teri because she was only actress who wasn't mentioned during the interview.
Weirdly enough?.. (Will explain later why) The creator also said some stuff (allegadly) about Teri during the letter with Felicity:
>We had a problematic cast member on my show. She was a big star with some big behavioural problems. Everyone tried their darnedest to get along with this woman over the course of the show. It was impossible. And things went from bad to worse.
>
>βAt some point during season seven this woman decided she would no longer speak to her fellow cast members.
>
>βFelicity still insisted on saying, βGood morningβ to this actress, even though she knew she wouldnβt get a response.β
Marcia Cross a.k.a Bree Van De Kamp.
Even thought she was the one who had biggest or most well known fight with here, there isn't much about her and Teri.
During the vanity shoot Marcia insisted on saying she didn't want to be with Teri, and that she wanted Teri to not be in the centre like always. (:oooo) She wanted to wear red jump suit, that later on went to Teri who at first was at centre. Marcia got mad, and left. While Teri cried on phone.
Felicity Huffman a.k.a Lynette
She didn't really take part in drama, but I still found stuff hehe.
Felicity seems to be in all her co-workers good books, except for Teri of course.
The actress posted a tribute to the show on her social media last year, along with personalised messages to each of her former co-stars.
Again, Teri Hatcher wasnβt mentioned.
With all these clues, it isnβt hard for us to put two-and-two together, but Teri is determined to keep it all a secret.
Speaking to TV Guide in 2012, Teri said: βI will never disclose the true and complicated journey of us all, but I wish everyone on this show well.β
Oh and also if you noticed I talked about letters Fecility recieved from co-stars, Teri didn't send one.
Ok, now that we are done here is my theory, which you probably already made up yourself after reading all those stuff.
... keep reading on reddit β‘I really hate this little girl. She was the ABSOLUTE worst and she is currently #1 on the list of characters I hate from this show. What she did to Lynette is awful and while I know this is fake, if this was my kid, I'd get her some psychological help. Everything she did gave me future serial killer vibes but maybe I'm just being dramatic.

Who gave the best / your favorite acting performance in Desperate Housewives?
Just waiting for the Justice for Tom comment π
Personally, I'd like Andrew back
There isnβt a SINGLE cop on this entire show that isnβt corrupt, lazy, violent, or just generally bad at their job πππ
This is a heist show, not a feminist protagonist show. But to many of us, Serquelβs story is even more attractive and feminist than those famous feminist protagonist or love story shows like "Desperate Housewives", "Sex and the City", "Titanic". There are quite many couples recognized in TV show history, but why Sergio & Raquel duo are particularly attractive and have so many people shipped and attached to them? It is so hard for people who love them to move on even the show has ended, so let's share how we think.
First, they are not the typical sweet couple. Both of them are middle-aged with complicated background and identities, faced a lot of struggling, dilemma and complication in their life.
Raquel is at 40βs, a divorcee with a daughter and a mother with Alzheimerβs disease to take care. Her career as a Chief Inspector looked brilliant and renowned for her capability, but she was in fact sexually harassed and bullied by the male seniors at her workplace. Long working hours caused her not had enough time with her daughter. Her abusive ex-husband did not get penalized for his crime and kept fighting with her hardly over the custody of her daughter. She was literally at a helpless position because those who hurt her the most are the police themselves (e.g. Colonel Prieto, Alberto).
Finding love at her age is not easy.
Finding a loved one that accepts her as well as her family and her heavy past is even more challenging.
Finding a loved one that accepts her everything and willing to live with them together even on the run, and he himself is extremely intelligent and powerful while stays faithful to and loves her to die is almost impossible, too good to be real.
Which woman would not be touched and moved, honestly? She is a kind and nice woman, deserved to be loved and treated much better.
Sergio is genius intelligent and powerful, but also an egoist who is manipulative, meticulous and dominant on everything. He could do something crazy beyond imaginations like a heist on the bank, no fear of dealing with the powers, literally can do whatever he wants. However, when it comes to Raquel, he could be so panicking and vulnerable. Raquel is not the type of aggressive, calculating and scheming women at all, but could drive Sergio crazy over her and moved heaven and earth to do everything for her. He put Raquel over everything, even his life-planned heists which were jeopardized several times because of him and put the life of his gangs at

Firstly, thereβs a still image from a deleted scene between Mary Alice and Gaby that takes place in season three. It seems to have been scrubbed from the net. Also, thereβs a special that aired a week before the third season where talking heads gave commentary on past moments and predictions about the new season. I vividly remember one of the personalities making a graphic joke about Bree finding Andrew in bed w/ her then boyfriend. Iβm thinking thatβs why you canβt find it anywhere. Anymore examples of lost DH media?
This season to me is very Desperate Housewives-esc.
I think the difference between this season compared to the others is, although it was still very dark, the storylines seemed a bit too unrealistic which made it slightly comedic and bit more light-hearted, similarly to Desperate Housewives.
I don't really know what I expected for this season but it definitely wasn't that lol.
I've always wondered how old everyone really is but especially the four main housewives.
Super random but I was posting on Pinterest and saw this song in their top picks playlist. I listened to it and immediately my bf and I got Desperate Housewives vibes but I canβt find it anywhere online that this song was part of the soundtrack. Can anyone confirm? Itβs bothering me π
I personally fully loved DHws when i first watched it as a preteen/teen but now after my second rewatch as an adult. I see a lot of plotlines that havenβt aged well. This has subsequently diminished my love of the show. I get it was another time and that is the only reason i still enjoy. But as i said, it hasnβt aged well.
1.)Why were all these grown women having sexual relationships with kids and having no repercussions?
2.) The treatment of characters of color perpetuates so many stereotypes, it really hurt sometimes to watch; like Gaby denying her nationality cause she associates it with poverty or Renee being disgusted by her Β»afro hairΒ«. The only asians i saw were cleaners who couldnβt even speak proper English and the entire Applewhite fiasco had me reeling.
3.) The Gaby and Carlos situation. Granted Juanita is the best but why did Gaby need to change her mind? I donβt get some women donβt wanna be mothers and that is ok. Donβt get me started on Carlos machismo during the early seasons ππΎββοΈπβ¦
4.) The show is all in all the epitome and poster child of white privilege, pretty privilege and classism. All these characters lacked any accountability⦠they could rape, kill, steal and even prostitute themselves but still get away with everything.
But all that said i still enjoyed my rewatching.
Edit: Some people are acting like i hate the show. That is actually quite the contrary. The show was highly entertaining. I think Marc Cherry and his group have the ability to make anything intriguing and I understand it was another time but just cause you love a show doesnβt mean you canβt be critical about it.
And tbh Marc Cherry has been progressing as a show runner, he created devious maids which was another swing and a miss for me (but still lowkey entertaining)and it was pure stereotypes. But Β»why women killΒ« is at the Moment one of my favorite shows and when i compare it to desperate housewives, i see so many similarities but i think WWK tackles itβs themes with more finesse and less bias.
Hello everyone! Haven't posted over here in a while but there's been some talk of the queer Desperate Housewives podcast I host called Wisteria Gays. We just went live with our episode on one of the most iconic episodes of all time - season 3, episode 7 - Bang.
I wanted to share over here for all of the DH lovers! You can find it linked here or find WISTERIA GAYS wherever you find your podcasts!
Hi everyone! As the title suggests why isnβt Desperate Housewives brought up a lot in discussions about television and popular shows in todayβs culture? It averaged 20+ million viewers a night for a long time and was premiered alongside with LOST and Greyβs Anatomy which both are massively popular today (and rightfully so). It was such a unique show about suburbia and won so many awards yet I hear almost no one talk about it. Some seasons were stronger than others but I truly donβt think any parts were so bad that it was unwatchable like some shows get to as they age.
I just finished a rewatch and I donβt agree when people say only the first season was good and the rest went downhill. Some of the most watched and highest rated episodes were in seasons 3-5. So Iβm curious what are your thoughts on why it isnβt talked about anymore?
What were some knee-slapping scenes or lines that made you laugh the most?
For me, it's when Brie stages a robbery in her own house and when the unknowing Orson discovers the crime scene he exclaims: "It wasn't me, I swear!"
