A list of puns related to "Desmond Llewelyn"
For me it's hard to choose between Moore and Brosnan. Both of their Bonds were so good at annoying Q lol
Q cards.
Follow the story of a plucky band of Quartermasters as they go about making a tonne of prototype technology that never works properly or released and tech that is released immediately destroyed with no accountability. At least they have an infinite budget.
Desmond Llewelyn's Wikipedia page
Sorry about not having the link in the title. The same page was used for TIL 4 months ago but with a different factoid about the actor regarding the how much he was underpaid.
Craig feels more like generic action hero with summer shirts and aviators. I can watch Jason Bourne and replace characters with it not feeling too different. Whereas Brosnan had the whole suave gentlemanly secret agent, he consistently felt like the witty and charismatic character as his predecessors. Yes the cinematography and CGI has dated but story wise too. 006/Alec in Goldeneye was such an amazing villain, an equal to Bond. Elektra King and Elliot Carver felt original too. He also was the last Bond to work with Desmond Llewelyn (Q). Weβre also not having Spectre jammed down our throats. So yeah, I knows itβs unpopular but I still think heβs better.
Overview
Dr. No and From Russia With Love were successful, but Goldfinger took the Bond franchise to a whole new level. Even to this day, after fifty-seven years and twenty-two more movies, it is considered the definitive James Bond film. Reflect on that for a moment. Of all the Bonds with all of their stellar performances and incredible stunts and larger-than-life stories, the one released in 1964 so thoroughly captured the public consciousness that it has remained at the forefront of the 007 brand ever since. People born decades after its original release almost universally think of something from Goldfinger when they hear the name James Bond. Whatever your personal opinion of the film, that is one hell of a testament.
Point-By-Point
I can't believe it's been 1 year since his passing. He made an impact as the first 007 and in my opinion couldn't been anyone else to start the series back then. He is probably enjoying his vodka martinis shake not stirred up there or bugging the original Q (Desmond Llewelyn). You are missed sir.
What are your favorite Bond moments with him as James Bond?
I know people are freaking out about how the Craig era ends but there was already a bit of a reset with Brosnan (except for Desmond Llewelyn), and then again with Craig, so honestly a whole new cast doesn't seem that crazy to me. If each actor has a serialized franchise, and the cast resets each time, I think that could be really cool. They wouldn't have to worry about continuity. Think of a modern Bond franchise with a lighter tone similar to Moore set in the 70's or 80's, followed by a slick and cool 60's franchise. I would prefer this to a single long running franchise with jarring shifts in tone every so often.
Idk, maybe that's just me but I think that would be a refreshing change of pace in the midst of every studio trying to set up a cinematic universe. Will they do this? Probably not, but if they did I'd be very open to it.
If you could only pick one from each category to make your own Bond film, which would you pick? You can choose from any movie in the series!
-One Bond actor
-One Bond girl
-One Bond villain
-One Bond villain henchman
-One Bond car
-One M (Lee/Brown/Dench/Fiennes)
-One Q (Llewelyn/Cleese/Whishaw)
-One Bond ally
Do your worst!

#2 From Russia with Love (1963)
My opinion on the second Bond film after this most recent viewing is perhaps a bit controversial.
In most if not all technical aspects βFrom Russia With Loveβ is an improvement upon its predecessor, that is certainly in part due to its much bigger budget, but also because by the second instalment the film-makers were already more experienced in the art of making a 007 film. The gun barrel scene is much better executed, with the theme cueing in at just the right time. The title sequence clearly also had care put into it and is absolutely delightful, featuring great music and visuals of the dancing ladies. The sets and filming locations are more extravagant, though still not on the same level of what was to come. The instrumentals, now by John Barry, are certainly better used to accentuate scenes, though they were still lacking in a few fights and chases, and the main theme is incredibly underrated, perhaps because it is only heard at the very end of the film. The action too is much better choreographed and interesting (especially the train fight and boat chase).
For a second time Sean Connery simply IS James Bond and manages to repeat or, dare I say, even improve upon an already perfect performance in βDr. Noβ. The side characters are also great: The main Bond girl, Tatiana Romanova, is a massive improvement upon the previous one, her and Bond have much better chemistry, and her personality is a lot better developed than Honeyβs. The other Bond girl, Sylvia Trench, a hand-me-down from βDr. Noβ, appears only for a short while, but is given a great scene to shine near the start of the film. Karim Bay is one of the best male allies in all of early Bond and is played with immense charm and charisma by Pedro ArmendΓ‘riz; his death is a grounding moment for the film and shows Bondβs emotions get the better of him after losing a friend. The villains, in the form of Klebb and Grant, are wonderful to watch and both their downfalls make for some of the best scenes in the film. We also get our first look at the soon-to-be mainstay character of Q, played by Desmond Llewelyn, though he doesnβt make much of an impression yet.
Speaking of Q, this film features the first in a long series of gadgets that are given to 007 at the start of the film and end up serving an important purpose in the story. In t
... keep reading on reddit β‘I found a New York Times article promoting "For Your Eyes Only". Some of the statements of the actresses and of the producer Albert R. Broccoli are surprisingly... sincere, for lack of a better term. Also, I always wondered why Carole Bouquet wasn't present at the premiere or the DVD extras. The article suggests that she didn't have a good relationship with the film's crew.
"They always seem to wear the skimpiest of bikinis, and they often carry weapons - a gun, a knife, a spear, perhaps even a miniature Abomb. Their hair is always long, their smiles are always pouty and their names are always memorable. First there was Honeychile Rider (played by Ursula Andress), and later came Pussy Galore (Honor Blackman) and Kissy Suzuki (Mie Hama) and Tiffany Case (Jill St. John) and Holly Goodhead (Lois Chiles).
In the film business, they are known as ''the Bond girls,'' because they are the chief love interests of James Bond, British Secret Service Agent 007, in the Ian Fleming adventure series. And now, with the 12th Bond film, ''For Your Eyes Only,'' set to open on Friday at local theaters, another Bond girl has been added to the roster. Her hair is long, her smile is pouty, and her real name is more memorable than that of the character she plays. She is Carole Bouquet, a darkhaired, green-eyed, 23-year-old French actress who won acclaim in 1977 for her performance in Luis Bunuel's Academy Award nominated film, ''That Obscure Object of Desire.'' In ''For Your Eyes Only,'' she plays Melina Havelock, a half-Greek, half-English marine archeologist - she even has a Ph.D., something new for a ''Bond girl'' - who sets out to avenge the bloody murders of her parents. Along the way she encounters James Bond (played, for the fifth time, by Roger Moore) and they join forces against the film's dastardly villains.
So far, Miss Bouquet has been keeping a low profile in relation to the new film. She was the only major star to be excluded from the film's publicity tour, and one reason, according to Myer Beck, the New York representative for the film's producer, Albert R. (Cubby) Broccoli, is that she was ''unprofessional and troublesome while making the film; she even went to sleep on the set.'' It probably did not help help matters during production when she gave an interview in which she said that Roger Moore was old enough to be her father rather than her lover (Mr. Moore is 53). Miss Bouquet could not be reached for comment.
This makes her different from most of the past

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
