A list of puns related to "Deplorable Word"
I was young when the scandal came out, but I had never heard it before. Is this more commonly used by older people?
I've been reading these books to my daughter recently as well as retelling the stories at her request. When telling her the events of Magician's Nephew as a bedtime story last night, I got to the part about Jadis using the Deplorable Word and it got me thinking.... if it destroyed "all living things" I assume that means plants and even microorganisms as well as people, animals, etc. So without any microbes to decompose the bodies, wouldn't Charn just be covered in basically preserved dead bodies? I'll be honest I know almost nothing about decomposition so maybe I'm way off the mark here.
Voldemort strolls into the ICW headquarters and holds the entire planet hostage, many seek to obliviate him, but he enjoys torturing the brave few who dare to try
also, any Narnia crossovers?
All this made me think of Jadis, the white witch from Narnia who if you read the Magicians Nephew, destroyed everything living on her own world with a single word. The Deplorable Word, after an extended war with her sister.
For ACONs, the word is, No.
You destroy the world of misery you lived in. You find your way into the wood between the worlds, and into a new one.
Just a thought.
