I have Deer Avenger 3D installed from the original disc I got 15 years ago. I've tried the compatibility feature of Windows 7 with every OS choice in the list, tried a variety of the checkboxes but still no luck. If a virtual machine is mandatory, what's the easiest one to get up and running? Like I mentioned, I will happily gild whoever can help me. Thanks.

Started: June 27, 2017

It's been a while and I've seen a few movies since The Room, so let's get to it!

• I, Tonya (watched January 1, 2018): This reminded me quite a bit of The Big Short with its tongue-in-cheek, 4th-wall breaking presentation, quick wit, and absurd scenarios. However, this one takes more time to really develop and explore the characters, who are all fascinating and do and say things that would seem faked if you hadn't followed the story. Personally, I went in without knowing the story, and the documentary footage at the end really baffled me because some of the details in the movie turned out to be true when they would've seemed so outlandish otherwise. Past that, it's an excellently written and acted movie with a stellar trio of main characters and a good balance between sarcasm and sincerity. 8/10

• Captain America: The First Avenger (watched January 5, 2018): Probably the most forgettable Marvel movie I've seen. It doesn't really do anything poorly, per se, but it also doesn't really do anything exceptional. Serviceable story, serviceable characters, and serviceable action that, while aren't bad, have been refined and expanded upon in other, better movies. 5/10

• Ghost in the Shell (watched January 7, 2018): After watching both Blade Runner films, this seemed rather hollow to me. The antagonist is somewhat obtuse and not especially interesting, the main lead was pretty flat in my opinion, and the animation was fairly inconsistent. Sometimes it was fluid and dynamic, and sometimes the characters didn't move a muscle for minutes at a time. Felt like Blade Runner lite when all was said and done. There were plenty of aspects to appreciate, like some of the writing, some of the characters, the action scenes, and the general concept, but overall it didn't really excite or intrigue me. 6/10

• The Departed (watched January 8, 2018): Of the three Scorsese films I've seen (this, Hugo, and Goodfellas), this was by far the best. The writing was excellent and memorable, the characters were all engaging, and the story had plenty of twists and turns. Even though it's fairly lengthy, I was almost never bored and glued to the screen more often than not. 8/10

• The Killing of a Sacred Deer (watched January 13, 2018): It's like The Shining meets It Comes at Night. I don't want to say anything more than that but this film hit all the right spots for me. Loved it from start to finish. 9/10

Ive tried every compatibility mode offered. The cave does not load properly, its a mess of lines and obscure shapes, nothing is even mildly recognizable, except Bambo. He loads fine, that is, if you can even find him in the mess. I'm stumped. Everything is updated. I run many different types of games on here without a hitch, both newer and older.

I had this theory some time back but it didn't gain any traction. I finally made some progress today and it's reinforced it and I believe it's sound and might include the location of the 3rd "meteorite".

I'm sure most here have seen the recent discovery made by u/regularjoeseph (kudos and good work!) of the roman numeral for 13 replacing the 11 on the small alarm clock in certain locations. This rekindled my interest in the mysteries of the game and I more or less picked up where I left off. I'll start with the goods and then share my personal theory.

The Euclid's Element find is super fresh for me so we all get to pick that apart together. One thing I've surmised is that Boltzmann in 1872 was involved in discovering the atom using ZKI (positions of atoms at the vertices of proximate stable configuration, no idea but I know letters). This explains the bomb on the mural! In alchemy, ZKI represents salt, mercury, and sulfur. Along with fire, earth, water, and air make up the necessary ingredients to create the Philosopher's Stone!

My overall theory and I'll do my best. Here goes.

I realized a while ago that some of Francis's physical features were being reversed, or mirrored, on the mural in the Sinclair cabin as he bounces through time. I then saw that there was a slight mark on his wrist that had changed sides and his hair changed color. And yes, part of my theory is that IKZ is Francis Sinclair's mother. Bear with me. There is soo much to unpack here and I don't think I'll cover it all, but I hope it's enough to convince at least a few.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

“I’ve gone on trips with Ara before.” Miztana shrugged, also not much of a surprise considering how close the two were.

“With all due respect, Captain, I think this has less to do with needing all hands on deck, and more a conflict of interest.” Gray said cooly, staring down at the gray elf alien, “It’s not because I’m unqualified, you have my file. It’s not because I’m on duty, because today is my scheduled on-base leave. So it just leaves three options: Either because I’m a male, because I’m your ex-boyfr

Hello fellow Dexter fans. I’m going to attempt to explain why this finale was actually very befitting of our favorite serial killer. Please hear me out because this is going to be a long one!

Harrison is Dexter’s white buck. The white buck, whether he knows it or not, has always been a representation of Harrison, to Dexter; a thing of beauty and true innocence. Dex spent a long time chasing his deer and using it to practice abstinence; to maintain control. It kept him grounded. It kept him good. It was poetic to see Dexter, after all his conditioning, take his final hike to meet his white buck. In their final encounter, a sacrifice had to be made. He would seek retribution for the death of his white buck, and in that final moment, he would surrender himself to honor his white buck; he would die so that his son could live. (Edit: As someone pointed out, and I agree, the white buck ALSO symbolizes Dexter’s commitment to abstinence)

You can physically see the moment, on screen, where Dexter’s strategy begins to change from overcoming the legal charges, to escape by any means necessary. This was when Angela presented him with the pattern, directly related to the BHB killings. Dexter was directly investigated for the BHB murders by James Doakes AND María LaGuerta. LaGuerta even arrested Dexter. Batista always had his doubts about Doakes being the BHB and he supposedly killed himself before anyone could ever get the full story. Batista personally defended Dexter from LaGuerta’s crusade, and then she was presumably killed by Estrada, also conveniently found dead with LaGuerta’s body, the same man who was involved in the murder of Lara Moser, Dexter’s mother. Batista had a relatively close relationship with Dexter, so for him to have survived the storm, re-establish somewhere else, and not reach out is suspicious enough. Let’s not forget that Dexter’s late wife, Rita, was killed by Trinity despite not fitting his pattern, while Trinity himself, who is also missing, does meet the BHB’s motives. Let’s look at the facts regarding New Blood from law enforcement perspective.

Okay newbies - we need to have a talk about salary expectations and welding careers - Having been in the welding and material joining business for the last 3 decades as welder, inspector, engineer and high school teacher I am going to let you behind the curtain and tell you some truths.

1. there are different levels of welders much like there are different levels of baseball players. Everything from the Mexican League and independent leagues, minor leagues all the way up to playing for the NY Yankees and cashing the big checks. Not every employer is going to pay you NY Yankees or Dodgers Money - Not every employer needs a high dollar tig hand. A lot of fab shops need people to dump weld metal into fillet welds and to do it cheaply.

2. Welding doesn't guarantee six figures any more than a law degree guarantees a 500K salary - Public Defenders in the Midwest make 60K or maybe a little bit more and those people have law degrees.

3. in the different levels of welding there is a lot of other skill sets that the high dollar welders have that get them the good money. Reading blue prints, welding symbols, being safe on the job site, being able to put in an X-ray quality root with GTAW or E6010 every time without busting the X-Ray - This is a completely different skill set than pulling the trigger on the weld gun and pumping dual shield wire into a groove. These are the reasons that the first group I mentioned gets paid big money for critical welds. Critical meaning we have one shot at this, and if the weld fails death or catastrophe could happen.

4. If you don't like it where you are at, throw your shit in the rig and go somewhere else. No matter where you go they will have a shitty all you can hold down china buffet and a movie theater showing the next Avengers movie, trailer parks with your next girlfriend and most likely a strip joint or two. The USA is a big country with lots of places to work and lots of jobs. Pick one - if you don't like it go somewhere else, shit is not going to change where you are currently employed. Side note for years if I could not fit it in my truck I didn't need it. Lived in all 4 times zones and every region other than the far northeast in those tiny states. Sometimes it is just time to go.

4a) if you do decide to move and go elsewhere - you will make friends on your new job. You will find someone to drink with, hunt ducks and deer with, someone to chase women with at the local bar. You will fall right in where you left off
