I think ian paice is a wildly underrated drummer and sometimes consider him the best part of some deep purple songs, although I'm not a die hard fan of deep purple, I'd like to get someone's real thoughts on what is the best drumming in a deep purple song (for me at the moment it would have to be either child in time or space truckin)
Obviously Josh sounds like Josh, but you can see bits of inspiration from bits of pieces from rock canon. I was listening to "Deep Purple In Rock" and especially during the song "Blood Sucker" I really made the connection of Josh taking inspiration from Ian Gillan's vocals back in 1970. I've never seen any mentions of Deep Purple in Greta conversations so I'm asking you what are your thoughts?
Not only am I terrified of the chelicerate but I'm also scared of the squid sharks. I need to get to margureits base but that's infested with squid sharks as well. I have a prawn suit with the drill arm and the jump jet. my sea truck has the 300m module and I have a base underneath the sparkling electrical wire at the floating platform, and I've sort of come to terms with the cryptos, so I'm just asking how to not be so scared...

Slower paced instrumental song with a beautiful guitar solo that spans the whole song.
My grandpa always loved deep purple so I always heard that song but then I heard the opeth version… it’s just so much more of a vibe and such a sweet cover it does the original so much justice. I’ll always have nostalgia for the deep purple version but the opeth version is so goooooood. What do you think?

Hi everyone, I normally wouldn't post something like this but I just found the subreddit and it feels like it's the time to come clean. I need to write this before I chicken out.
I smoke and eat weed every night (and a few days per week). My partner doesn't know how much I use because I do it at night.
It occurred to me a few days ago that I am depressed and don't feel like doing any of the things I am normally passionate about.
I'm starting to suspect that my daily use has created an false sense of accomplishment, of purpose.
I just had a daughter and am going to college to be a nurse, and what started as a little use has become a necessity of mundane TV watching, gaming, and consuming social media and food. I'm 30lbs overweight and I'm ready to make a change!
How did you break free of the haze? I want to be sober. I want to have alert energy and spontaneously create beautiful things. I want to be present with my daughter and my partner.
