Reading HVEC encoding data

I have a video I'm trying to re-encode (as VFX/edit and storage "friendly")

I have some Log info from what i'm pretty sure is handbrake.

i know its 10 bit, 20 mb/s bit rate. But im trying to figure the chroma sub sampling

i think there is a bit referencing 4:2:0, But i'm not versed in this kinda thing yet.

" colorprim=2 / transfer=2 / colormatrix=2 / chromaloc=0"

would the colour matrix indicate the ":2:"

How do i go about identifying whether i am able to transcode a piece of footage for resolve, or whether it needs to be re-encoded.

I have two very similar pieces of media with very similar Media info Logs... yet, resolve only accepts one.

Walk-Forward Target Encoding and Data Leakage [D]

Hi!

I am working on a time series problem where I need to also test historical predictions through time (using a walk-forward procedure). There is a "data leakage" when dealing with time series and using simple target encoding features like :

df.groupby(col)[target].transform('mean').

I am wondering if anyone has built a custom function to build these target encoding features without leaking data... Kind of like a walk-forward target encoding function...

Has anyone used a data encoding/transcribing firm for their research?

I am a grad student running out of time. Not sure if anyone has done this or if this is even an affordable option for a PhD student on a budget. But I was wondering if anyone had outsourced the menial task of task of transcribing data from PDF to excel. I know there's an automatic option, but unfortunately the files I have can't be digitally copied easily using cut-paste. Any referrals would be appreciated.

Hello,

I'm reading through the CWNA Study Guide (6th edition) and started wrapping my head around DSSS Data Encoding:

>Using a PN code known as the Barker code, the binary data 1 and 0 are represented by the following chip sequences:

>Binary data 0 = 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 1 1

>This sequence of chips is then spread across a wider frequency space. Although 1 bit of data might need only 2 MHz of frequency space, the 11 chips will require 22 MHz of frequency carrier space.

Why do we need 2 Mhz frequency to encode 1 bit of data? Why not 1 Mhz or 500 kHz or less for that matter?

Does it have to do with frequency spacing and the limitations of the antenna/hardware/software to sense and recognize such small differences in frequencies?

Why I've Become a ME Skeptic - After Reviewing More Data, Errors in Encoding Is Most Likely Explanation

Like many skeptics, I've come to realize how obvious it is that memory (or the lack of it) is the only possible explanation. You see, when your brain tries to decipher incredibly complex symbols, sometimes, it's just too hard. When that happens, your brain has two choices. Use tricks, or get tricked.

So to make up for it, your brain will sometimes "guess" what you think it's going to be, even though the information is actually right in front of your face. I know it probably sounds crazy but hear me out.

For example, imagine a crazy hard math problem which would be impossible to do without advanced mental mathemagical skills. Like 5 + 5 - 5 - 5. Yea, now imagine actually figuring that out...that's exactly what it's like when your brain is trying to make sense of a Mandela Effect!

Yes, exactly the same, except for the answer that also happens to be in front of you. So it's kind of more like seeing 5 + 5 - 5 - 5 = 0 and then remembering it. Correctly. Yup. It makes sense now right? THAT IS WHY, when you see "Berenstain", your brain thinks "Berenstein". Get it?

Let me explein: it's because your brein is unable to maintein such intense neural processing for susteined periods of time, as the strein will almost certeinly result in overlein synapses, and constreins the raintegration of the necessary protains, at which point, you better have some caffaine handy to rainvigorate yourself.

Otherwise, your brain will start concocting wildly arbitrary and nonsensical guesses in even attempting to make the words out. Especially if it encounters a letter unexpectedly out of place, or some other deviance.

And we all konw it's ueilvbbaelny duilcffit for yuor biran to mkae sesne of miexd-up wdors wtih the ltteers in the wrnog plcae. Tihs is pbolarby ismolipbse for all but the msot entrodxiraary and gefitd ppeole. So taht's deeiftlniy not us, bsucaee we can't eevn reemebmr samll, slimpe wdors!

Ok, let's try a real world example using an actual Mandela Effect. "The Rum Diary" or "The Rum Diaries". You see how they're almost the exact same? I just wrote both of them down and I already forgot which is which! Which is probably what's going on with these writers:

[Adobe Media Encoder] Is it possible to get a preset to process a source, with VBR encoding, at a ratio of "average video bitrate:peak video bitrate" relative to the source's data rate/total bitrate?

I've got a batch of ~1000 videos all with varying data rates/total bitrates, what I hope to be able to accomplish is be able to process a source at say for example 10000kbps, then apply a ratio of 2:3 for "average video bitrate:peak video bitrate" (~6667kbps:10000kbps).

If there exists a solution within the gui or if there is a solution via command line for this type of problem I'd very much appreciate any insight anyone can offer!

I started writing a HTTP Server from scratch with javascript. I am learning so much about the protocol but also dealing with encoding and data streams.

As an example, I was able to test my main function reading and writing to a connection by using a file as a mock. When you realize that everything is just a readable/writable resource at the OS level, things just makes sense. So I could start by creating a file locally, writing the HTTP request to it, and the seek back to the beginning and let the function read the request and write the response, then I can just seek back once more to assert the response.
