Are there any good Non-conductive ( polymer ) calipers?

I have half a dozen calipers, digital, dial, even an old vernier set. But, right now I'm working with Li batteries and need a pair of non-conductive calipers for safety reasons. I've looked for a decent set but haven't been impressed by the ones I've seen offered. Anyone have a bit of advice on a good quality model?

How To Fabricate Ionic Conductive Polymer On Your Own?

Hello,

Couple of years ago, I have been working on ionic conductive polymer, and now I want to do work on them, however, the current lab, I am in has no expertise in fabrication this material specifically PEDOT:PSS, I wonder if I can fabricate them by myself (I do only have the expertise in characterizing them).

Unconventional Photocatalysis in Conductive Polymers: Reversible Modulation of PEDOT:PSS Conductivity by Longโ€Lived Poly(Heptazine Imide) Radicals

A conductive polymer (PEDOT:PSS) and potassium poly(heptazine imide) (Kโ€PHI) are combined in one hybrid nanocomposite as electron donor and photocatalyst, respectively. The composite represents an example of unconventional photocatalysis: Kโ€PHI modulates the physicochemical properties of the conductive polymer upon exposure to light and dark in different environments.

Abstract

In photocatalysis, small organic molecules are converted into desired products using light responsive materials, electromagnetic radiation, and electron mediators. Substitution of low molecular weight reagents with redox active functional materials may increase the utility of photocatalysis beyond organic synthesis and environmental applications. Guided by the general principles of photocatalysis, we design hybrid nanocomposites composed of nโ€type semiconducting potassium poly(heptazine imide) (Kโ€PHI), and pโ€type conducting poly(3,4โ€ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) as the redox active substrate. Electrical conductivity of the hybrid nanocomposite, possessing optimal Kโ€PHI content, is reversibly modulated combining a series of external stimuli ranging from visible light under inert conditions and to dark conditions under an O2 atmosphere. Using a conductive polymer as the redox active substrate allows study of the photocatalytic processes mediated by semiconducting photocatalysts through electrical conductivity measurements.

Easiest method of synthesizing conductive polymers?

Is it possible to synthesize conductive polymers cheaply and with minimal equipment? I'm really interested in them and would like to synthesize some (especially polypyrrole and/or PEDOT:PSS) to experiment with but I am a physics student rather than a chemistry one so do not have access to a proper lab and/or equipment. I've read a bunch of papers on them but all of the chemicals and equipment I've seen used don't seem to be available to the private citizen and/or are very expensive.

Was hoping that someone here might be able to suggest any reasonably straightforward methods of synthesizing them that are doable without breaking the bank on equipment and chemicals. I'm far from a chemistry expert but have done general chemistry, physical chemistry, and am currently reading a textbook on polymer chemistry so I at least know the basics and am willing to learn whatever else I must.

Conductive Polymers: you can find them here

o7 commanders,

For those who canโ€™t find conductive polymers or are new to the game and you need them, you can find them in a Anarchy system with a outbreak state. Anarchy means no wanted level for destroying ships. Once youโ€™re there you search for convoy beacon. Now finish the Type-9 ships. You can get in 20 minutes 20/30 conductive polymers.

Materials you can find in Convoy beacon:

  • Conductive Polymers
  • Chemical Manipulators
  • Conductive Ceramics
  • Conductive Components
  • Heat Dispersion Plate
  • Heat Exchangers

CONDUCTIVE POLYMERS - The Hard Way...

[EDIT] - SOLVED. Thanks for your help again, r/EliteDangerous!

Good evening commanders. I am in need of conductive polymers for engineering. However, here's the kicker - I want to acquirer them without seeking and destroying trade ships like type-x vessels. I hear its the easiest way to do this but I just don't want to shoot at innocent ships, even in lawless space. That's just not my play style. Crazy, I know...

Now, because I apparently like to punish myself with this game, what is the second best way to acquire these components?

Thanks fellas.
