A list of puns related to "Concrete poetry"
Thick novel that is made up of concrete poems, medical records, receipts, pieces of a story about a couple trying to get a seizure alert service dog for their daughterβ¦there is a poem about rain that looks like rain falling. Thatβs about all I can remember π

Hi guys! I'm a visual artist who uses poetry (and other forms of text) to create pieces. Thought you might be interested.
Here's my portrait of Michelangelo's David on Robert Graves' Goliath And David.
I hadn't really come across Concrete Poetry before this week and I have mixed feelings about it. I could see some value in it but a lot of the 'poems' I struggled to see as such. To me they didn't really fit into what I would categorise as poetry. I thought I would ask here what you all think. Do you think it's just a natural progression of poetry?
Do you think of it as a seperate new form or that it's produced in relation to more traditional poetry? Like do you guys consider it to be poetry or more artwork or something else?
I am familiar with Seiichi Niikuni and am currently searching for other artists/poets who're working with concrete poetry in Japanese. Does anyone have a recommendation? It would be much appreciated!
I was checking out some information on conceptual poetry - that's a thing that I don't have any trouble understanding. Some of the information I came across mentioned other movements it is related to: Language poetry, Concrete poetry, and Post-conceptual poetry.
When I look up information on these styles, I have trouble understanding the information. I was never an art or literature student, so I just don't follow all the terms.
So, ELI5 might be a stretch, but can someone please explain these in simple terms? And, what would some good works/artists be from each area to check out?
P.S. Also, Flarf? It seems like I can only find one description of it, I would love a more coherent one.
