This is a road I ride regularly. It was chip sealed back in July, but the bike lane was left "clean" as a "concession to cyclists". I've written my county roads dept numerous times, and was told it "doesn't deem sweeping". What do you think?

This weekend, $1 from every growler/howler fill and can will go to a local charity

This brewery is located in Jarvis, Ontario (about a 45 minute drive south from Hamilton). You are close enough to New Limburg, Rambling Road plus all the other great options available in the Hamilton area.

Concessions on the road to apostasy

I was born in the church and have recently become interested in the kinds of concessions we make growing up in the church (or as converts) when it doesn't live up to the ideals we were indoctrinated with. Every member is at some different level on here and I always want to ask them where they think it ends.

  • The Church is True

  • The church is god's one true church restored on Earth

  • The church is god's one true church, though I'm vaguely aware that it has a rough history

  • The church is true, but its comprised of men so of course it will have some skeletons in the closet

  • I feel the church is true, despite some issues I'm aware of

  • I'm not so sure the church is true

  • The church might not be true, but its a good institution

  • The church isn't true and does more harm than good

  • God talks to prophets who are great and inspired men who cannot lead us astray, their words are scripture

  • God talks to prophets who are largely inspired good men who will not lead us astray, their words guide us

  • God guides his prophets who are good men, they won't lead us astray, their words can be affected by their own opinions

  • God guides his prophets yet I would expect the teachings to change if certain apostles died

  • God communicates with his prophets through the still small voice like your or I, they are seers but they sometimes speak as men

  • I disagree with the prophets on some things and I have to confirm what the prophets say for myself

  • They are virtuous men, but I'm dubious that they're lead by god

  • They are just men, they suddenly have individuality, it's probably emperor's clothes all the way down

  • God answers our prayers and guides us with the spirit

  • God answers our prayers when the time is right, the spirit is something you have to really listen for

  • God answers our prayers in some form or another, the spirit doesn't work the same for me as everyone else

  • God answers our prayers in some form, we just have to recognize it, the spirit is sometimes vague

  • God leaves us alone for the most part, I suspect most of the time people claim they were guided by the spirit they're fooling themselves

  • We're pretty much on our own; prayer and the spirit, though comforting, are just psychological

  • Emotional epistemology is a poor way to make decisions, and lead your life

  • We can perform great and marvelous miracles wielding the power of the priesthood

  • We can perform miracles with the p
