A list of puns related to "Complicity (film)"
Would there be anything stopping us from doing that? There are plenty of people here who know how this works and could make it happen. How else do we force them to play by the rules that are already there?
GG keeps saying he's making positive changes to rules, but the rules mean nothing when they are NEVER enforced.
#ok, so prior to july 2016, searching for "Houston, we have a problem" on wikipedia would've simply redirected you to "apollo 13". however, the actual page for the catchphrase was created in october 2008.
from CERN's own news blog:
>>Following the successful circulation of first beam in the LHC on 10 September, the worldβs largest and most complex scientific instrument will be officially inaugurated at CERN on 21 October 2008. Representatives of the governments of CERNβs Member and Observer States and other participating nations have been invited.
why is the timing suspicious? consider that this catchphrase has been around since 1995. so by the time wikipedia had become an internet staple this catchphrase was over a decade old already, and well known. it is possible that CERN's not involved though, but i did think that was interesting.
#regardless, until july 2016, the wikipedia article for "Houston, we have a problem" simply redirected either to apollo 13, or the infamous explosion. why does this matter?
this was categorized as a "catchphrase" on wikipedia in 2013, yet still redirected to the explosion. well, that's weird. typically, as is the case for all the catchphrases on wikipedia, you'd expect something about the catchphrase itself.
but we can be charitable and assume they were just too busy to update the page.
#because a few years later, in july 2016, the page finally gets filled out. gee, isn't that a coincidence? because isn't 2016 when the mandela effect really went viral?

so the article does mention that it's an erroneous quote, as well as the actual version said during the mission.
#but now it's really weird isn't it? why is there no mention of the movie that popularized this "erroneous" catchphrase?
in fact the article at that point in time stated:
>>Since then, the phrase has become popular, being used to account, -informally-, the emergence of an unforeseen problem.
I'm sorry, let's be clear. what it's saying...is that this erroneous catchphrase was popularized since then? "then" being what, the mission itself? according to who??
#because there's absolutely no record of that. oh, well, they have a source so let's check that out. here, see for youselves:

first off, it's a little weird that they had to go t

Saw this movie last week on Asian Film Festival in New York. It's about Chinese work immigrants in Japan. Have you seen it? Any thoughts?
