A list of puns related to "Committee on Social Thought"
U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, will convene a hearing titled, βDoes Section 230βs Sweeping Immunity Enable Big Tech Bad Behavior?,βat 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. The hearing will examine whether Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act has outlived its usefulness in todayβs digital age. It will also examine legislative proposals to modernize the decades-old law, increase transparency and accountability among big technology companies for their content moderation practices, and explore the impact of large ad-tech platforms on local journalism and consumer privacy. The hearing will provide an opportunity to discuss the unintended consequences of Section 230βs liability shield and how best to preserve the internet as a forum for open discourse.
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for constructive feedback about my social encounter embedded within an adventure module that I'm writing. I'm working with AngryGM's social encounter structure, with a few tweaks here and there.
Background: Kobolds have kidnapped a Dwarven maiden and plan to sacrifice her so that they can divine the next location of silver ore in their lair.
Relevant Details: Edrick (human) and Gwaelin (dwarf) have been seeing each other in secret, against their parent's wishes. While the two were meeting in the forest, they were ambushed by kobolds and Gwaelin was kidnapped.
Why don't the townsfolk go and rescue Gwaelin?: Because she has run away in the past (boy cries wolf kind of deal), and always come back.
Reward: Edrick tells the Player Characters about him and Gwaelin meeting in the forest, gives the characters relevant background and rumor knowledge about the area, and makes the upcoming Skill Challenge to find the Kobold lair much easier.
Where can the player characters meet Edrick for the Social Encounter?

>Thought Experiment: The Rules Committee announces a ban of all cards on The Reserved List in the Commander format.
For reference, some of Reserved List cards that see extensive play in high powered and more cutthroat spiky metas include the original dual lands (i.e. [[Underground Sea]]), [[Gaea's Cradle]], [[Mox Diamond]], [[Wheel of Fortune]], [[Gilded Drake]], [[Yawgmoth's Will]], [[Palinchron]] and [[Hall of Gemstone]]. Here is a list of Reserved List cards currently legal in the Commander format.
Questions to consider:
Note: I am not advocating, supporting or endorsing banning reserved list cards from Commander or any format (personally, I would be opposed to this decision if it were to be made). This is purely a thought experiment I figured would lead to an interesting discussion.
They have been really grinding with Instagram and Twitter. Many tweets a day. Multiple posts a week for Instagram vs single digit posts per year in the years prior.
However, I canβt help but notice that advertising cybersecurity on social media seems so boring. They donβt seem to have very high engagement based off of just having a cursory look at likes, comments, etc.
What do people think about the effort they are putting in? Would you do anything differently?

The Association for Writing Across the Curriculum (AWAC) stands in solidarity with our Black colleagues, students, and community members. We recognize that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) continue to be disproportionately and negatively affected by not only the historical but also the ongoing effects of segregation, bias, and racism in the United States. We condemn racism; Black lives matter.
AWAC recognizes that writing programs and pedagogy can play a problematic role in the perpetuation of systematic oppression for BIPOC students. AWAC urges WAC scholars, administrators, and practitioners to call immediate attention to structures of systematic oppression in their home programs; and, wherever possible, advocate for anti-racist practices and pedagogies. AWAC also urges that we all mindfully and intentionally bring research-based, anti-racist strategies and perspectives to WAC research, theory, program administration, and the teaching of writing across the curriculum. We ask members to productively call us βin,β and we invite suggestions for and dialogue about initiatives and resources for AWAC to develop in support of antiracism and social justice in writing across the curriculum.
As a newly established organization, AWAC is indebted to and will work to support the powerful calls for pragmatic work, self-education, and action by established professional organizations in our fields. We refer, specifically, to ATTW President Angela Haas's ATTW Call to Action to Redress Anti-Blackness and White Supremacy, to ATTW Vice President Natasha N. Jonesβs and ATTW Fellow Miriam F. Williamsβs The Just Use of Imagination: A Call to Action, and the CWPA Executive Board and Officersβ βCWPA Statement on Racial Injustice.β We urge members to read these statements and use the resources to further anti-racist dialogue at their home institutions.
To that end, we also offer, as a beginning, the following (non-exhaustive) list of resources and scholarship for WAC, antiracism, and social justice: [www.wacassociation.org/awac-statement-and-resources-for-wac-antiracism-and-social-justice/](http://www
