A list of puns related to "Comatose (Skillet song)"
*You
I have a few, Sick of it, Never going back, legendary, awake and alive, and hero
The last album has it's fair share of haters and lovers like any other but I feel like it was a bit of disappointment in general for fans that are into heavier music but also rock lovers?
To be fair the album has dope guitar work and riffs but it's all so polished that most of the time it's hard to distungish the guitars and that's important for the authenticity I think. The mixing on this album was a bit experimental and I can't say I liked it personally.
I really like Fight The Fury though and I suppose I expected this album to be similar, I see now that it was wrong to have such expectations. I guess John is in a different mindset when it comes to heaviness now but I wish we could get some more of that FTF vibe.
Another reason I want TFT, beside the heavier and raw mixes, are the Skillet covers on youtube by FTF. I'll link my favorite in case you haven't seen it. John and the rest of the band literally resurrected an old and underrated Skillet song. It's okay that we are not getting new songs like older albums, bands change. But imagine if we could get a remastered album in this style from older songs, I think every old fan would love this?
But what do you think? Are you happy with the direction Skillet is going? Would you enjoy a remaster in the style of FTF.
I've seen few people that have listen to alien youth or before. Has anyone at least listened to "Alien Youth" ? or "Best Kept Secret" ?
I found out about shovel, darn great day, and stand. Are there any others?
My story: Once I was walking down the street with a friend, and we listened to music. I asked him to send different songs to my phone, and he sent me Monster, Komatose, Hero, Awake and alive, Whispers in the dark. I liked these songs very much, and I did not know that the original is always sung in English, as I have always listened in my own language(Russian). What about you?
I have all the songs from the album "Awake","Collide" and 26 more songs from various albums, including "Alien Youth " What about you?
I would love to hear. It's great because so many people have different lists.
Here's mine.
Now this list is ever changing. My top 5 are pretty solid and usually stay the same but Those Nights had been my favorite up until a couple years ago. I have a personal connection with all of these songs and almost every Skillet song I've listened to. Been a panhead since 2007. π€
#Introduction
So Iβve been a skillet fan since so long, my dad was the one who introduced me to them. And I loved the voice of John, it sounded so unique and scratchy and I loved it.
I donβt have any old era skillet songs, mostly because Iβve always had a preference for harder rock songs. I loved making this list, I hope you enjoy it.
#The list
Top 15 skillet
Now that 1) Surviving the Game, and 2) Standing In the Storm have released, how does it hold up compared to Skilletβs previous works? IDK personally, but Iβll give my initial take:
This is how I feel for now, but itβs subject to change and is in no way final.
tl;dr at the end
I have always been ranking songs ever since I first started really listening to music circa 2011. Granted, back then it was only the two Three Days Grace albums One-X and Life Starts Now. But whenever I got a new album or artist, I would rank them. Disclaimer; this ranking has always just been personal opinion, and it is still this way today, so don't be looking for a professional review or anything like that.
But I never attempted ranking all of them together because I couldn't think of a way to reliably rank 2000+ songs. But recently I had an idea and I think I just might be able to pull it off. If you're curious, what I plan on doing is going through every artist in my library individually, in a predetermined order. Going through all their songs chronologically (you could do it in any way you wanted this has just always been my preference) and put them all in a list. If any of you want to try this (for whatever reason) I recommend before listening to the song, listen to it so it's fresh on your memory. Then once you have your list, you 'prooflisten' to your list from least favorite to favorite so each song is one right after another. The reason I do this is because, for example, if I put Vapor on the list, I'm relatively confident because I just listened to it seconds before. But then when I get to say, Madness In Me, I know I just listened to it, but I haven't listened to Vapor for a while. But using this method, I listened to both songs very recently.
Then what I plan to do is group artists into fives, put those lists in order, and then my final result is a few groups of about five artists and then I can merge all of those lists together to get a definitive list of all of the songs together. The specific reason for doing this is if the list is currently at 1278 songs or something I don't want to just randomly put in the rest of the songs, instead, I'll have a few lists of a couple hundred or something. Basically comparing 10 songs to 100 is way easier than comparing 10 songs to 1000. I understand that this still isn't perfect, but it's the best solution I can think of that doesn't take an absurd amount of effort or time (which I don't have a lot of).
In this series (if you can call it that) I'll be posting my lists, album rankings, how I discovered the band, and anything else miscellaneous I discovered while listening. If anyone is curious, [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kfUPwXT330YGfQ-kiYLxvvn6LCtFXz1PeMYUEvY3r-w/edit
... keep reading on reddit β‘U can include Ledger and Fight the Fury too btw
The ones that have given me chills are:
Victorious
Lucy
Reach (falling deep mix)
Legendary (destiny remix)
Awake and Alive
My Arms (Ledger)
Sick and Empty
Save Me (Reimagined)
Ruins (Ledger)
Would it Matter
Watching for Comets
These are all the songs that i remember
For me it's the last night, anchor and saving me. The last night seriously saved my life. And I tweeted John a few years ago telling him that and he replied back thanks im glad it helped
Thought I'd make a song recommendation! The lyrics are basically a letter to our OCD. Rest knowing that you are not your enemy!
Specifically, I want to hear what everyone considers the most "underrated" song from each of their studio records from Alien Youth-Unleashed. Bonus tracks are cool to use. I'll start!
Alien Youth: "Eating Me Away"
Collide: "Imperfection"
Comatose: "Falling Inside the Black"
Awake: "Would it Matter"
Rise: "Everything Goes Black" (for real, nobody talks about this one)
Unleashed: "Watching For Comets."
Your turn!
Mine is comatose
For me it was Whispers In The Dark from Comatose. Its arguably my favorite song of all time to this day
