So, picture it: at around early 2010s, Cartoon Network commonly played films, in attempts to fill programming blocks or something. When the movies had commercial breaks, an asian 20-something man would be making jokes about the movie. This happened a lot for the movies, and I vividly remember there was one during Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I can't find any trace of it on YouTube.

In the story, Flint invents a machine that can turn water into food. Later on, the machine flys into the upper atmosphere and becomes sentient but still focuses on turning water into food, as that's what it was designed to do. It also excessively tries to preserve itself, so it can continue its mission.
One of my all-time favorite animated movies, I'm not joking when I say I cry every time I watch it ahah. This movie has the best/realistic Father and Son relationships I have ever seen. Usually the dynamic is an odd ball weakly son with a Stern emotionally distant father who borders on antagonistic.
But here it's a son with out a job pursuing his passion and a father who can't support his son forever just wanting the best for his son even if that goes against son's wishes. I relate to this scenario and I tear up because the father does care but the son doesn't understand because the father is so emotionally disconnected and can't relate easily.
Oh ya also the humor is crazy on point with out submitting to pop culture, and the visuals are bright and beautiful. I love this movie
Okay, I never liked that annoying pointless monkey but in the sequel, oh my sweet baby jesus. I wanted Yandere Chan to come and kick his ass. He was even MORE annoying in the sequel as if he wasn't already annoying enough in the first film. He stole the bag that Sam gave to Flint and ate off of it and he even set off the party in a box in the middle of the ceremony and that was the straw that broke the camel's back! I hated when Flint cried! This whole situation could've been avoided if he got a goddamn cat goddammit! I just wanted that stupid mf (like that Mindless SElf Indulgence song) to die! This is why Flint should've bought a cat or some shit, not a wild animal species that's been in many movies already, that idiotic little mad scientist! There needs to be more male protagonists with cat sidekicks since they're few and far between and I want to see a cat with a thought translator like Dug the dog and Steve the monkey. And if you're worried, no I do not support abuse of real animals. Anyone who knows me know that I love animals very much and am strongly against animal abuse. Steve is just a fictional character. I mean, I could've said that I wish that Steve was written off somehow like he got taken away or something and then maybe Flint gets a dog/cat but most people who can't stand a character would say they die. So should something happen to Steve if there was a third movie or do you love his annoyingness so much and you find it funny that you would want him to be kept?
Is there any animated film that has a better laugh per minute ratio? I can only think of a few jokes that don't hit. Not to mention the amount of site gags per frame is unreal. The only movie that can put up a fair fight is Chris Miller and Phil Lords other animated feature The Lego Movie. What do you all think? Any other animated features you find as funny? Would love to check them out if I haven't seen it.

For people who haven’t seen the Sony Pictures film, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, here is a quick synopsis. A man creates a machine that will allow food to rain from the sky. Initially, it works spectacularly for the residents of his town, bringing joy and splendor to its residents. As time progresses, the food begins to mutate and become giant, attracting tourists to witness these monster sized foods.
I think the meme economy is experiencing an alternate version of this; the meme economy is becoming over saturated with tones of micro memes. A meme like “Somebody touch-a” would have been a Meme of the Month back in early 2017, however now it lasted a few days before Ugandan Knuckles took it over. UK lasted a fair amount of time until it was overtaken by Tide Pods. The increasing volatility of the meme economy is, frankly, concerning.
I believe that the cause of this phenomenon is the shift of memes to the mainstream, or “normification”. I can think of no viable solution to this issue, I just thought it would be worth bringing up.
Half of his motivation for continuing to use the machine was to make Sam happy; she was obviously impressed, and he wanted her attention, and the best way to get that was to make Swallow Falls a better place to live.
