A list of puns related to "Christiane F. (film)"
Will wissen in welcher Reihenfolge ich sie gucken sollte
Even better if they're not based in USA/Canada.
After watching that movie nothing was the same anymore. I remember watching the trailer in like March this year and then I decided to rent it off of youtube. I felt like Iβve seen it before at least like the ad I feel like Iβve seen an ad like a poster in a toilet it felt super familiar. Also watching the documentay and the way she perceives life and deals with it I was just amazed by it. It actually also the reason why I decided to do coke and wanna try h. I know itβs not good but itβs the only thing I can associate with atm
if anyone has any movie recommendations similiar to christiane f, iβve already watched requiem for a dream, candy, trainspotting and kids. i know this movie is truly unique but if u have any recommendations just tell me plz <3
Iβm looking for all sorts of recommendations: books, music, films, art. No specific time period and contemporary stuff would be appreciated as well. Also, I know that neither Lou Reedβs βBerlinβ nor the majority of Bowieβs Berlin trilogy were actually recorded in Berlin, but to me all of them encapsulates the spirit and idea of Berlin at the time, and thatβs what Iβm looking for.
I saw movie adaptation when i was teenager and it scared me. But i read the book as an adult and enjoyed it very much.
First of all, i believed the story since itβs based on interview with Her, even though journalists and editors did their work to publish the book. Secondly i liked pacing of the story. Smoothly transforming from a child who loved animals, played with other kids to teenage junky-prostitute who has lost many friends of heroine overdose.
Her obsession with a club βSoundβ, with David Bowie and of becoming a so-called true heroine junky who used needles to inject heroine. Hesitations about loosing her virginity with her boyfriend.
I also liked that they didnβt edit her mother words but just put it as she said, as quotes.
And of course, West Berlin during 70th. I donβt know why but it was atmospheric. Somehow depressive concrete homes of a poor neighborhood worked for the story.
Did anyone else get into heroin because of Christiane F.? I probably saw that movie at 13 and got really into the books and then onto other heroin related movies/literature. 5 years later Iβm 18 shooting up heroin in my bathroom at night. Didnβt help Iβve always been super into Lou Reed but I havenβt seen as much on here about Christiane as opposed to Trainspotting and Requiem For a Dream and such.
Have your ever seen this movie?Imo it's one of the best drug-related movie ever, imo even better than Requiem for a dream. The English dubbed version is trash so i recommend you to watch the original version of the movie with subitles. This movie tho,can also be extremely dangerous.
I remember watching it three years ago when i was 14.I loved that movie so much(also had a HUGE crush on the actress)that i literally started doing drugs, specially opiates.Long story short?I became addicted to Oxy and Percs basically a month after watching the goddamn movie. After 5 months of using pills on the regular,my mom caught me,she beat my ass and she helped me beating the addiction aswell. She saved my fucking life. Now im 17 and i regret doing all that dumb shit.Im completely sober right now(i just smoke weed and sometimes do acids),just living a normal life and planning to go to college.I don't miss pills.Im easy on that.A year ago one of my friends that i used to get high with died because of a fake pill.Im glad my mom helped me,and im glad i never tried heroin too.But my question is:have you ever seen this movie and what effects had on you?I was just dumb?Or it can really influence a young adolescent life?In my opinion music and movies(i was also listening to Future around that time, and if you know hip hop you know what im talking about) can REALLY fuck your life up.What you think?I recommend watching the movie for all the guys out there struggling with addiction, but i do NOT recommend the movie to young unexperienced people, specially if you are dumb like i was.
These type of movies are the best they keep me so hooked and these are some of my absolute faves, Iβm looking for more like this :)
Hello reddit,
I'm a huge Bowie fan and I've loved the cult movie Christiane F. - Wir Kinder von Bahnhof Zoo from 1981. One of the best features of the movie is its amazing soundtrack, but there's something about it which has almost driven me crazy throughout the years: an instrumental piece that doesn't seem to have a name and can't be found anywhere in the internet.
It can be heard at about 23.01 and in other parts of the movie (check here) but it is not listed anywhere. It sounds a bit like other instrumental pieces composed by Bowie/Eno (such as Warszawa, Sense of Doubt and NeukΓΆln), but it does not appear on the official album with the rest of the soundtrack.
Does anybody have a clue about its name?
Thanks a lot!
I recently re-watched this German movie called "Christiane F." (1981) and read the book too, it's still one of the best and most disturbing films about drugs. Not so many people seen this movie, but it definitely deserves more viewings. It's an excellent, realistic, but also creepy and disturbing movie based on a true story. It's about a 14-years-old Christiane F. who tries some drugs and gets hooked into a downward spiral that she cannot control.
The actress who played Christiane was brilliant in her role. The cinematography is really beautiful! If you are a fan of "Requiem for a Dream" (2000), try with this one. It's way more disturbing and realistic. You all should to see this movie, it's in my top 15 of all time.
I used to be homeless, so it's a topic I'm quite passionate about, however I think I've read enough books about homelessness itself by now (unless you can recommend me one about homelessness as a child). I'm looking for autobiographies, memoirs, etc., about other people living on the fringes of society or living difficult or interesting lives, whether by choice or by forces outside of their control. Vagabonds and travelers, but also poverty, dealing with trauma, marginalized groups, people from cultures and countries other than white USA/Western Europe, unique lives or experiences. I find people's childhoods interesting, too, and how that impacted the rest of their lives. These books can involve homelessness, but preferably not as the main topic, unless it's about someone who isn't a cisgender straight white man. Non-fiction about real people, preferably written by themselves. I'm looking to learn as much about other people's lives as possible to open my mind to different lifestyles that I might explore myself at some point, but also so I can always be compassionate and empathic and be an open-minded person. Two quite different things but for me they go hand in hand because reading helps with both. If anyone has any recommendations I'd really appreciate it!
German movie and i have found it online but inly in german, if someone could help me find one with subtitles that would be amazing:)
