A list of puns related to "Chocolate liquor"
Iβve got a bottle of (relatively cheap) chocolate liquor and Iβm not sure what drinks to make with it. Iβve got plenty of base spirits (vodka, rum, bourbon, brandy) to mix it with. Iβve tried a cocktail of orange juice, brandy, and chocolate liquor but Iβm not sure if I entirely enjoy it, truthfully. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
This is a shameless begging post.
My father absolutely loves the chocolate liquor cherries from TJs. I try to get him a few boxes every year but this year, both stores sold out their stock the day the shipment arrived.
For context, my dad is an incredible human who has sacrificed (and continues to sacrifice) everything for his family to have a wonderful, comfortable life. I owe all my good traits to him. He extremely rarely treats himself to ANYTHING and so I like to surprise him with little tiny luxuries throughout the year. He inevitably ends up crying with happiness that someone remembers him.
I missed the boat this time around. If anyone has any of these cherries nearby, I will gladly pay for several boxes plus shipping to get them to him.
Thank you!!
UPDATE: THANK YOU to all the amazing people who offered to help! My dad is going to receive a few boxes of these and it will absolutely make his holidays. Iβm so grateful for all the help!!
It's my boyfriend's absolute favourite, but it's native to Europe so not the easiest to find I think. On amazon they are all going to arrive after Christmas so I was wondering if anyone saw it in any store in Vancouver?
My wife's grandfather used to get this chocolate box for her mother, and we can't seem to figure out what brand it was. He used to buy them from somewhere in Europe and bring them to her in the US. We know that the chocolates were 'long', not circular or square, and that they were not in the shape of bottles. The box was white, and the candies inside were individually wrapped in a clear plastic of some kind, maybe with a dusting of sugar as well.
Any thoughts?
My truly lovely mother in law doesn't believe that I have a problem. This is the same woman who had to scrape me off the kitchen floor at Christmas some years ago while I told her to fuck off, more than once. I have been at some of my worst on more than one occasion with her present. She is pretty much tee total. She will have a drink on special occasions, that is A drink. I have tried hard to be open and honest with her about my reasons for sobriety.
She has come to visit and brought me brandy liquor chocolates as a treat. π€¦
I have had booze in the fridge that hasn't fazed me, but I feel like I'm being seriously tested. Like a part of me is going 'oh they are only little chocolates, you can eat them!' and another part of me is freaking the fuck out foreseeing a binge drinking episode from all the little chocolates.
Am I an ungrateful shit to be freaked out there are two large boxes of chocolate liqueurs in my fridge? Is it because they were given to me, not a choice I made? Any insight appreciated, I don't think I can even share this story with anyone I know without sounding like an ungrateful loon!
Thanks for listening you gorgeous sobernaughts!
I read on this sub that one can easily find chocolates with strong alcohol/liquor in Germany. The only brand I know is Mon ChΓ©ri. I'll be in Kalsruhe/Ulm/TΓΌbingen next month and hope to bring back a lot of dark chocolate with strong alcohol/liquor for a friend in France. Since I won't be in big cities with fancy specialty shops, I would appreciate recommendation for easily available brands in supermarket/drogerie/department store. What are your favorites? Where can I find them? Thanks in advance for sharing.
Hi. Can someone please explain to me if chocolate liquor as a listed ingredient means that that brand of chocolate chips is better than other brands that donβt list chocolate liquor? My Guittard baking chips list cocoa mass. Are they synonymous with chocolate liquor? I am much too poor to afford expensive baking chips, and Iβve read that Targetβs in house brand has very good chips. Hence those are that I use, but I wanted to bake with Guittard for a change. Thank you in advance for explaining the differences.
Hello so I don't know if this is really the right place for this question, but I couldn't find any useful info from googling since most of the results are talking about alcoholic chocolate drinks instead of the thick, chocolate paste made purely from cacao beans....
So I was watching this video: https://youtu.be/MaYPEvDuo1I And at 5:35 he blends the cacao beans up in a big fancy food processor and mentions how difficult it was.
I don't have one like that. All I have is a small spice grinder and like a tiny Kenwood mini chopper. Is it even possible for me to do it? If his big machine was struggling, then I doubt it's even possible for me and I don't want to waste the cacao beans I bought...
Should I get a new blender or something then? I was thinking maybe one of those bullet blender things might work, but I'm not sure. I also don't have a lot of space to store things, so I can't really buy a huge food processor because I can't put it anywhere...
It makes banter with girls easier while staying tasty!
I only wish the price was lower because 10β¬ per 0.7l bottle doesn't do good to my wallet at current rate of consumption, lol
Do you guys have more tasty(and preferably sold in Croatia) stuff like that to recommend?
This is by no means paid promotion, just sharing my experience (though I have nothing against it becoming one, lol)

Since this question has been asked a few times, I thought I would make a list of which states do NOT sell hard alcohol/liquor/spirits (or only sell wine and/or beer), but DO sell the chocolates that contain alcohol.
Or states that DO sell alcohol, but do NOT sell boozy chocolates.

Please confirm if the states I have listed are accurate, if it depends on the county/store, or if there are other states that I have not included. Thank you!

For you who has tried both; Which chocolate tastes better and which has the strongest alcohol?
Iβm considering on bringing it to a holiday gathering with 5 friends. They are the same price, but Kirkland has a little more chocolate.
I make different flavored chocolates at Christmas time for gifts and try to change flavors every year. This year I'm trying to create Jack Daniels dark chocolate and Eggnog Absinthe white chocolate ganache to fill my chocolates. My problem is that to get enough liquor into the mixture so it is evident to the consumer the chocolate breaks (cocoa butter floating to the surface). I'm considering a few things: 1. adding powdered cocoa (for the Jack) and powdered (icing) sugar (for the absinthe) to soak up the cocoa butter OR 2. gently heating the liquors in an attempt to cook off some of the alcohol before adding to the ganache without heavily effecting the flavor. Anyone got suggestions for how to overcome this problem?
