As far as I know, the official English name of Chittagong has been changed to Chattogram. Does it also apply to CHT?
I'm thinking to make a map. So should I use Chittagong Hill Tracts or Chattogram Hill Tracts? Should I also use Cumilla instead of Comilla, Bogura instead of Bogra and so on?

Thus, we see now it is clear we need another set of reforms and peace accords to help the many minorities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts recover from the horrifying insurgency, and our roles as a Muslim country to protect our minorities and their rights. As such Bangladesh will implement the Chittagong Hill Tracts Revision Accord which will help reintegrate the many displaced or disenfranchised minorities in Bangladesh's Chittagong Hill Tract".
Bangladesh has finally decided that it is time to make reparations and institute reforms in regards to restoring rights for the many ethnic minorities that were harmed by the Chittagong Hill Tract Conflict. This would be in the form of the Chittagong Hill Tract Revised Peace Accords.

How many of you guys have heard there was a genocide of Theravada Buddhists in the Chittagong Hill Tracts by Bangladesh? Bangladeshi settlers now make up the majority of the population (65%) and Jummas are only 35%. Back in 1947 Jummas were 97% of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Bangladeshi settlers and military rape Jumma women and murder civilians in fake "encounters". Jummas include the Chakma and Marma Theravada Buddhist and the Tripuri Hindus and Catholics.

Bangladesh is committing genocide with the support of western countries and they are aided and abetted by western and mainland Indian liberals who defend Bangladesh as a democratic country which respects minorities while attacking Assam as fascist, xenophobic, racist and so on. This means news of the rapes and massacres in the Chittagong Hill Tracts are largely censored in global news media while Assamese are smeared as genocidal by Islamists and liberals. Bangladesh right now is refusing to take back it's illegals in Assam while it continues to murder and rape Jumma children.
Assamese should consider raising and amplify the cause of the Jummas in the Chittagong Hill Tracts to expose Bangladesh's crimes and those that aid and abet them. This requires a massive coordinated campaign all over social media.

Standing on the shore of Bangladesh’s scenic Kaptai Lake on a wind swept afternoon, we made quite the odd couple, a lanky westerner and a Buddhist monk, both more than a little out of place in this homogenous nation of 150 million, of which roughly 90 percent are Muslim and 98 percent Bengali. We are in Rangamati in a region known as the Chittagong Hill Tracts, which forms a narrow band running along the country’s border with Myanmar. This area of low hills and sprawling forests is not only a sharp geographic contrast from the pancake flat Ganges delta; it is a cultural one as well. My companion is a member of the Chakma community, the largest of the region’s thirteen indigenous groups. This culturally, linguistically, and ethnically distinct population has long contested their inclusion in the nation of Bangladesh and fought a bloody decades-long insurgency aimed at independence.
Though a peace accord was struck in 1997, it remains largely unimplemented 17 years later. In the absence of government action, indigenous rights advocates allege there have been ever-increasing incidents of land grabbing by Bengali settlers and that the military, who still exert tight control over the region, have been active participants. For Chakmas this is just one of a string of broken promises made by the government. I had come here to visit a unique Buddhist social organization, but first my companion wanted to make sure I understood the history. The lesson started with the lake that sprawled out before us, what many Chakma call the “Lake of Tears.”
“The palace of the Chakma king is just over there,” my saffron-clad companion said gesturing out toward the middle of the water. His voice conveyed both pride and melancholy in equal measure. “The palace is in the lake?” I inquired half facetiously, assuming that I had misunderstood. “Yes, it’s about 10 meters down.” I turned back to the site marked only by a pair of trees, dead and bleached by the sun, which protruded eerily from the water.
