In 2015, I bought a laptop and after 2-3 months the display and the keyboard went bad. I took it to a service center and they quoted me for a motherboard replacement, broken hinge and a screen cause physical damage is not covered within warranty. I had to pay 30K to get a 65K laptop fixed, or I could get a Chinese replacement for 9K+4K. I did the latter and till to this date the laptop is running, albeit a little bit slow.
In 2017, my father bought a TV. After a few days, black panel lines started appearing on the screen. The guys at the company said it was water damage and asked us to pay 10K to get a new panel for a 52K TV. My father almost had a 2hr long conversation with them and finally ended up paying 3K for the shipping.
There have been 2-3 cases with phones and also with a refrigerator, all of them trying to charge something or delaying a replacement part for months. Finally, few days back I bought a fountain pen and it performed poorly, so I tried to contact the support with no expectations whatsoever. They did email me back and were actually pretty understanding and agreed to replace my product. I called their representative and he said "You'll get it when you will get it". It got me thinking if there was a particular time I had a good experience with after-sales services and, quite frankly, I didn't.
tl;dr: I want companies to improve their after-sales services, the situation they are in right now is pathetic.
