This is one of those statements which I never quite understand. I mean sure, if the only fights you ever watch are Jake Paul fights, I can understand (I guess) why you would think the sport exists in a state of embarrassment. But, 14 months ago, Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer had a celebrity doubles match with Bill Gates and Trevor Noah in front of 50 000 people. There are celebrity baseball tourneys all over the shop.
So boxing isn't unique in allowing for celebrities to dip their toes into the sport. The only difference is that for whatever reason people are willing to pay $50 to see celebrities fight. I don't see how that falls on the sport of boxing.
