A list of puns related to "Catherine wheel (firework)"
Catherine Wheel has many excellent b-sides from their earlier days that were shoegaze and werenβt included on the Like Cats & Dogs b-side compilation. These can be found on various singles from Ferment and Chrome.

One of the best alternative albums from the 90s, that could use a remaster. Influenced many artists from Death Cab For Cutie to Interpol. Chrome still has one foot in the early 90s British shoegaze world but takes a step away and is more 90s American alternative sounding than their debut, Ferment.
A solid album all the way through and benefits from solitary listening with good headphones. 'Crank' is the most known single but lots of great dynamics and spaciness throughout. ('Pain', 'Fripp') It's intense, reflective, and melancholic.

In "Shellstar", at about 4:50 into the song where George sings "flooding with raining/levees are breaking/houses are bursting/sisters are sleeping", the "nah nah nah nah" background vocals remind me of Catherine Wheel. Does anybody else get the reference? Has anybody in the band ever acknowledged a Catherine Wheel influence? I hear them all over the new record.
Hey y'all, I'm looking for a copy of the BBC recording of The Catherine Wheel from 1982 (IMDB Page Here). I've searched everywhere, but besides an expensive DVD on eBay and an expensive VHS on Amazon, I haven't been able to find it anywhere online except as a now unavailable YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUZTAuXAQTI). I'd really love to see the performance, not just for David's music, but also because it's supposed to be awesome and super early 80's New York avant-garde theater.
Does anyone have a copy anywhere that I could watch somehow?
Iβm doing the As We Go Stripey Blanket and struggling a little with the Catherine Wheel. There is a part on the second row where you DC into each of 7 stitches and then are supposed to have 7 loops to pull through all at once but I have 8. I wonder if I am doing something wrong or not understanding the directions properly
Howdy VC sub! I'm in the market for Catherine Wheel's "Chrome," preferably the recent Music on Vinyl releases. I know this particular record is selling for a lot on Discogs, but so just trying to see if anyone is willing to make any cheaper deals here. Lemme know! Thanks
