Came across a Cass main today he said that cass, with the new items, is more of a mid-game champ.
Cass gets hard-outscaled by the likes of azir,viktor,corki,kayle. All of which, except azir, are pretty popular in the current meta.
Is he right? Is cass not a late-game 1v9 machine anymore? Has range become that important with changes to LT?
Sheβs just staring at me, hasnβt even blinked since she got in the car. Am I going too fast or something? Is she planning on murdering me? A hundred thoughts raced through my mind as I drove to her desired location. She was probably the second strangest customer I had, her heavy breathing and focused gaze sending shivers through my spine.
Maybe she was on some strange medication or something of the sort? That would explain the vacant look. I adjusted my rear-view mirror, trying to shift it away from her, wanting to avoid staring at her for too long. When the mirror was pointed away from her, she shifted across the backseat, getting into view again.
βAre you alright miss?β I asked, trying to keep a friendly tone to my voice, not wanting to get my rating destroyed by one bad passenger.
βI am. Do you think Iβm pretty? You keep staring.β I wasnβt sure how to respond to that. Her words were far too normal for her thousand-yard stare. I turned my attention back to the road, idly tapping my fingers against the steering wheel, trying to buy some time, needing to think of a response.
βYes?β I couldnβt say no. She had me in a corner and so I chose the option I thought would cause the least amount of drama. I hoped that would be the end of the conversation, but those words only spurred action in her. She leaned forward, resting her head next to mine, her sun kissed cheek pushing against my shoulder.
βYour kind arenβt as bad as people say they are.β She said cheerily, still not blinking, only keeping herself by my side as I focused on the road.
βMy kind? Oh, you mean Uber drivers? Yeah, we donβt always have the best reputation, but we try. Most of us try at least. Itβs not Uber if you donβt have at least one horror story from your time using it. Itβs the luck of the draw, really.β I cracked a joke, but she didnβt laugh, only staying by my side until we left the busy streets of the town, heading onto the more isolated roads. After thirty minutes of driving through empty of roads, she tapped my shoulder, pointing to a vacant block of land.
βJust there is fine. I can get home from there.β She gave me a smile as she pushed herself back into the seat, waiting for me to come to a stop.

Hello, my name is Sweet Tangerine and I've been playing league pretty on and off for the last 8 or so years. After coming back to the game during COVID stay at home orders I decided to grind league until I reached grandmasters playing purely Cassiopeia. This season, I decided to expand my champ pool playing things such as Sylas, Yone, and Zed and managed to hit challenger with those champs. After hitting challenger with those champs I set out to hit it playing purely Cassiopeia which I managed to do a couple days ago.

According to u.gg, the win rate of Sylas players against Cassio is like 44%, with only Vel'koz (surprisingly) topping her.
And yeah, I did lane against one earlier, and easily got my face kicked in. This was a very good Cassio main, though, that caught me in her ult the moment she hit 6.
But God damn, does Miasma fuck us over. Turning off two thirds of our kit really fucking hurts, and it doesn't help that she's both blasting you and healing off of her E while you're just trying to walk out of the damn purple shit.
How do people typically play this matchup? Or, do you just have to pray that your opponent sucks?
Hello, I was thinking on one tricking this champion as I think she fits into most categories for one tricking, she is not picked or banned a lot, she can be flex into 3 different roles which makes one tricking her that much easier, she is decent in lane and scales really well, which fits my playstyle, as I'm swapping from the adc role it should be hard to pick up her poison and E kiting mechanics.
I just have a few questions:
-Historically how did this champion fitted in the meta? Is she very volatile? Has she found herself in C of D tier for long periods of time? (I'm the lolalytics rank system from D to S to serve as an example)

Ok, Iβve noticed something with Cassiopeia, being Riot keeps making her designs less and less like her default design to the point where from the waist up sheβs unrecognizable. Maybe Iβll make a video on it, but does anyone else feel like that?
So with this event we got a dating sim/fire emblem story progression, where you can grind to get fictional characters to talk to you since no one wants to irl. And while the event in general feels like some rioter bad tripped while watching rom-com anime, some of the characters ended up better than their OG counterpart. Cassiopeia in particular goes from being a random snek lady into an actual character with a purpose in the world, but her character progression is soon shaded by the dialogue options in her route. You can literally ask her to crush your bones so many times she will have a mental breakdown. Excited about this i level her bond to S and start to grind for the S+ scene, thinking that it will give me my prized 18+ scene of cassio crushing my windpipe. But instead all i got was 2 lines of dialogue telling me that i've done a good job and can now go fuck myself. I never felt so betrayed by Riot Games before and i believe this is the real reason for all the disappointment in the internal meeting yesterday
Edit: for all the people coming here now, there will be extra scenes at the end of the event like reav3 and other people have said, so i will wait until the end of the event for riot to redeem themselves
Stop using the attack shard glif as a crutch to auto attack minions. You will find it much harder learning the champion.
Cassiopeia has collectively the lowest avg kd in league of legends right now in diamond+ elo. Her playrate has shot down to the point thats its comparable to azir and corki. She is also not gated by proplay buffs/nerfs (such as ryze) since she sees almost no proplay and games she does get picked, she does notoriously terrible (not picked at msi too). What hit this champion the hardest? Was it seraphs shield removal, her armor change that made her lv1 armor go from 28 to 18 (in an ad assassin mid meta), or the fact that she has most losinng matchups in current meta on mid with a champion design that has no innate scaling (pen/%/true) other than an extra item slot that does not take into effect post 35 minutes. Players who reached high ranks (bobby cass/huntervault/moontaco) all rarely play her anymore or when they do they severely underpeform (bobby plays her to maintain challenger but has an atrocious kd in last 50~ games of her avg, hunter branched out to orianna and picks cassio when it seems safe, taco rarely plays her and now plays kassadin vladimir it seems unless its a favorable matchup)
Edit #1: According to permaban (high challenger euw midlaner accounts being Rank 1 Macro and No God Complex), βcassio has almost no guaranteed winning matchups, her itemization is s*** since she needs wonky weak items, seraphs and rylais or everfrost. Even kassadin I not go seraphs anymore because its too slow but that champion goes out of mana within 5 spells casts even with tear.Her range is terrible and the fact that she needs to land a very easily dodged skillshot to deal damage is not worth the tradeoff of damage that she does. Her ulti is f***ing garbage anyone with hands dodge it past d4 and usually requires flash to ever land. Just look punisher, he even basically quit herβ
Edit #2: Not sure if I can post link here but the ex 2k lp rank1 superserver cassiopeia said a couple months ago that βrough translationβ βcassiopeia is only playable if your jungler can play around you. Usually xin zhao jarvan zac are very good since they do good setup for you. Her biggest flaw is if she get behind it is almost impossible to come back, where her biggest strength is if she gets a small lead early and enemy jugnle/support do not stop her, she can make game unplayable for enemy laner.β He has since dropped from the rank1 position and seems to play katarina and vladimir, opting to not have played cassiopeia in a long time.

i start playing cassiopeia recently and (im pretty bad) but i love the E and how it combine with the W, but i never found an other champ with a spell like that, wich you can "spam" and with the number make a really high amount of damage

None of you will know me, as I come from the faraway land of Bard mains, and even there nobody really knows me.
However, I have come on a mission. I plan to find the most hated champ to play against, from the perspective of various different champion mains, OTPs, or just players in general. Over the next few weeks I will be working to send a survey to each individual champions subreddit, then compile them once I find that I have collected enough data. The compilation of surveys and results will then be submitted to the official League of Legends subreddit, for the community to take a closer look at.
