When Miguel and Sam kissed at the AVT they were still on good terms. However Miguel ran away without telling her and u may think that leads to an inevitable breakup. However I feel this will not be the case. The writers set up season 2 and 3 for Miguel and Sam to be back together and they lasted throughout the whole of season 4 so with that being said it seems stupid to throw all of that away. I’m under the impression that at first Miguel will be in Mexico looking for his dad and Sam would have no knowledge of Miguel’s whereabouts, Sam would try to contact him but would get no response leading to her worry for Miguel being escalated. Johnny and carmen will then tell Sam Amanda and Daniel that Miguel has ran off to find his dad and this would lead to Sam feeling hurt in the sense that Miguel didn’t tell her anything but also very worried since her boyfriend is in another country all alone. Robby would step in to help Johnny look for Miguel and sam would want to go with them but Daniel would stop her. After some time Miguel and sam will proceed to communicate over voice calls, texts or even voicemails. When Johnny and Robby bring Miguel home which will supposedly be in mid season sam would be hurt Miguel left without saying goodbye but really happy Miguel is safe and would want to keep their relationship going and they would confess their love for each other leading to their relationship evolving. If anything season 5 is the perfect season for Miguel and Sam to grow as characters and help them realise they need each other more than ever so therefore it would bring them closer. The Diaz and LaRusso family photo could also give us a massive hint

The only parts I liked in season 4 was everything with Johnny and Daniel. I love that the show gives them different context to their rivalry and continues to bring the humour out of them.

But all of the subplots were terrible. They're either underdeveloped or unnecessary. Why did Anthony need to be in the show? It seems like he only got a subplot to make sure the audience doesn't forget that Daniel has a son. I laughed when Johnny didn't recognize who he was.

Kenny is a token character. He's just there to make Anthony LaRusso seem more important. Kenny gets a backstory about his brother (Shawn) in juvie and his parents never being around, but it's irrelevant when Kenny joins Cobra Kai because he was being bullied at school, by Anthony LaRusso. They didn't even do anything with their love interest.

Why did they bring back Stingray? He was the worst character in season 2. He ruined every dramatic moments in the show e.g. when Terry Silver was drinking. His worst scene was when he was at the hospital. It was an awful bait and switch, as it turns out Miguel's injury was not that bad, despite the very dramatic ending of episode 9. It also made him more important than he should be in episode 10.

Robbie and Tory continues to be the worst examples of underprivileged kids ever. For someone who is a primary caregiver to her sick mother, Tory seems much more interested in beating Sam at the tournament. When her subplot doesn't revolve around her rivalry with Sam, the writers prop her up as someone who's always down on her luck to make her more empathetic e.g. her drug-addict looking aunt randomly showing up out of nowhere to harass her for money.

By comparison, Miguel is a good example because we at least see where he lives (and Johnny) compare to the LaRusso's. Everything that happened to Tory (taking care of her mother, going to therapy) happened off-screen. Same goes for Robbie, as he only explains that he often moves between locations. They don't even attempt to show his living conditions anymore, even if it's silly like pouring tap water on your cereal.

The dialogues are also getting worse e.g. j.i.l.f, you got facialed. It's creepy to think these dialogues were written by adults for teenage characters. Corniess has always been a part of Karate Kid, but the writers seems to confuse corny with cringe. In this season, the nerds get bullied and also gets the trophy girl. One of them even gave up Australia to go to prom with Demetri. It makes the love triangle

1. Hawk will get jumped by either Robby or Tory
2. When terry silver and Daniel LaRusso have their encounter it’s clear they will discuss terms if cobra Kai win and this will also be the same for the students.
3. Miguel and Sam will maintain a healthy relationship but may face some obstacles along the way
4. Robby and Tory will get together
5. Terry Silver beats someone up and it could either be Daniel or Johnny
6. Daniel and Johnny will split apart because they will argue about what is best for Miguel
7. Hawk and moon may get back together now that we know piper has joined cobra Kai
8. Robby will stay with Terry silver
9. Miguel will be upset he didn’t know sooner about carmen and Johnny but eventually will come around.

Season 5 of Cobra Kai wrapped up production before season 4 even aired. The show has already been renewed for a 6th season ( https://www.giantfreakinrobot.com/ent/cobra-kai-season-6s-fate-has-been-decided.html ) and will likely be renewed for a 7th. I have high hopes for season 5, especially after how shocking season 4 was.

Here is a list of 10 things that I would like to see happen in season 5.

1. Kreese is exonerated.

Stingray lied when he said that Kreese was the one who harmed him. We know that Kreese and Tory have a soft spot for one another. Maybe Tory visits Kreese in jail and she discourages him from accepting any sort of plea deal. After all, at Kreese’s age, pretty much any prison sentence would be a life sentence. Tory could maybe meet with Stingray while wearing a covert listening device and trick Stingray into admitting that he was lying when he accused Kreese. Tory could bring this evidence to the police, so that the charges against Kreese may be dropped, but I think it would be much more entertaining if Tory brought that evidence to Kreese’s defense attorney, the evidence were presented during the trial and the jury were to acquit Kreese.

2. Kreese gets the help that he needs.

Johnny Lawrence tends to obey socially constructed ideas of manhood without applying any skepticism or logical thought to think if they make any sense, but Kreese makes Johnny Lawrence look like a progressive portrayal of masculinity. That being said, it is no surprise that Kreese is unwilling to accept help from anyone and is rude, disrespectful and judgemental of anyone whose idea of how a real man is supposed to act differs from his in the slightest way, shape or form. Maybe what Kreese needs is love and support from people like Tory, Robby and Johnny Lawrence. Maybe, if he is able to without being judged, Kreese will go to therapy or jo

Season 4 of Cobra Kai was a very pivotal season, full of plot points and character development.

Let’s talk about the characters, how they developed as people and what I may be able to see from them in seasons to come. For this analysis, I will be focusing on the characters, the moral rules by which they live and how they have developed, not the plot points in the season.

The first group of people I want to talk about are..

Model citizens.

These are the people who, throughout the entirety of season 4, make all of the right choices, or at least most of the right choices.

Demetri-

It should come as no surprise that this guy is the golden boy of the group. Demetri has pretty much always made wise decisions.

When Eli was in a slump, Demetri gave Eli the pep talk that he needed. This pep talk was so effective, that Eli did not return to Eagle Fang, he joined Miyagi-Do. Demetri used to be very awkward around the ladies, so much so that he felt awkward talking to his mother, now he is in a relationship with Yasmine. Demetri was an all around great guy, not only in season 4, but pretty much since the pilot episode.

Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz-

Just like Miguel, Eli made some really bad decisions in the past, mainly because of the toxic lessons that he was taught by sensei Kreese. When he was Hawk, he picked a physical fight over an honest Yelp review, he vandalised Miyagi-Do and stole Mr. Miyagi’s medal of honor, and worst of all, he broke Demetri’s arm.

When Eli(Hawk) switched sides during the LaRusso home invasion, he knew that he would have a lot to atone for, but atone for it he did. When Kenny was on the verge of becoming the bully that he(Eli) once was, Eli warned Kenny to leave Cobra Kai. When Eli was horrified by the reality of what Cobra Kai is and what he became when senseis Lawrence and Kreese corrupted him, he almost quit karate, until Demetri and Moon gave him the support and pep talk he needed. Considering what horrible things Hawk did while in Cobra Kai, I would probably rather him not do karate at all than use karate for evil. All that said, he was absolutely making the right choice by joining Miyagi-Do and learning about defense from sensei LaRusso.

Miguel Diaz.

In the earlier seasons, Miguel made some colossally bad decisions, though not quite to the extent that Hawk did. One good example was at the 2018 All Valley championships, when he employed the no mercy win at all costs mentality to victimize Robby. However, that was

Sam's brother Anthony is rarely around and there's no explanation as to where he is. He has no interest in karate and seems to care mostly about video games and sticking his head in electronics 24/7.
Do you ever feel that while Daniel and Amanda pay so much attention to Sam and making sure she grows up to be a well-rounded young woman, they don't seem to care much about him? Or is it that Anthony is a recurring character that isn’t around much.

Should the story include a younger brother if he won't be a part of anything? Perhaps it was too late to write him out, or maybe there's more story with him coming later. But the very presence of a second LaRusso child who isn’t doing anything kinda makes no sense. Perhaps they could easily have made Sam an only child.

MY OPINION

I‘m okay with Sam having a younger brother (and Daniel and Amanda having children of both genders). I feel it’s rather stupid to have him being mostly out of focus and doesn't really play a significant part in anything. He's just kind of there to annoy everyone and be a rude little shit.

I’m hoping he’ll become kinder in Seasons 4 and 5 and that the released picture of him and Daniel for Season 4 is them having a heartfelt talk. I’m also hoping for him to have heart to heart moments with Sam and Amanda too.

So, basically I’m pleased with Anthony’s existence, despite him being an obnoxious jerk. I’m also hoping that he’ll have sense in talked into him by Miguel, Carmen or any of the members of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang, as well as the LaRussos.

And finally, on a dreaming note, if Sam and Miguel got married and had kids later on and Anthony became married with kids, the kids from those sets of families would be cousins and have an aunt or uncle. But if Sam was an only child like Miguel it means no aunts, uncles or cousins for their kids.

Seeing a recent post asking if we’d se Miguel get a car this season made me think of something. Most of us have seen the picture of Miguel, Carmen, and Yaya to pick up Sam at the LaRusso house. Imagine if Daniel decides to let Miguel take Sam in the car Mr. Miyagi gave him. Then we get some prom scenes, everything seems to be going well for everyone, and then we see the Cobra Kai Challenger pull up and out comes Robby and Tory.

I don’t think that car (or Johnny’s phone, or Aisha) are gone for good from this show. They’ll all make reappearances or be plot devices/ be brought up at the very least before the show wraps.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Never Dies Series

This short novel reunites Mike Barnes and Daniel LaRusso after Daniel and Johnny get court-ordered to attend anger management training. Daniel and Johnny have no choice but to accept Mike's help as they sort through the past, and Mike makes some discoveries of his own.

Warning for some swearing and off-color humor, but not anything more severe than Cobra Kai. Set post-season 4. Features Terry Silver, Robby Keene, Amanda LaRusso, Carmen Diaz, Yaya, and some other minor appearances by Cobra Kai characters. 9 chapters (if you're unfamiliar with how AO3 works, feel free to ask--it can be a little confusing).

Here are a few things that should totally happen in season 4 or 5. I do not expect to see every one of these in season 4. It would probably be better if some of these happened in season 4 while others happened in season 5.

1. Robby reconciles all conflicts.

The people with whom he has to reconcile conflicts include but are not limited to the LaRussos, Miguel and of course his father.

2. Tory turns over a new leaf.

A recurring theme of the show is abuse and psychological trauma driving people to become evil. Another theme is turning one’s life around when someone shows you genuine love and affection. When Kreese showed Tory the affection no one else would, she was driven right into Kreese’s arms. Maybe someone should show Tory some love. Maybe Amanda Larusso should act as a second mother to Tory and her brother. Maybe Tory and Sam should become friends, like Johnny and Danny did. During the LaRusso home invasion, Hawk switched sides. If Hawk managed to redeem himself, Tory can too.

Even though Tory is a villain, it is not like Sam is completely blameless. Sam did kiss Miguel, get drunk when she shouldn’t have and wrongly accuse Tory of stealing a wallet. Sam is willing to admit when she is wrong, as demonstrated when she apologizes to Aisha in the finale of season 1. Sam has to atone for what she did and I am sure that she will. If Sam can atone for past mistakes, perhaps Tory can too.

3. Tory and Robby end up together.

They come from similar stories. They were both neglected as children, they have both been misled to believe that physical violence is the only acceptable solution. If Robby were to reconcile his differences and Tory were to turn over a new leaf, that would make them the perfect match. Furthermore, when Sam kissed Miguel, Robby and Tory both got jealous. Since Sam and Miguel got back together, it would be pretty fitting if Robby and Tory ended up together.

4. Kreese arrested.

Here is what I am thinking. Robby, Danny, Johnny and Kreese are all in a public place. Johnny says or does something to make Kreese really angry. When Kreese punches Johnny in the face, a nearby stranger turns out to be an undercover cop. Kreese is arrested. It turns out that Krease is guilty of several other unrelated crimes of which the audience is unaware. These crimes include but are not limited to, selling drugs, possessing illegal firearms and child endangerment. That last one, he is actually guilty of and we have seen it. It is implied th
