Starting my bachelor's thesis on nesquehonite just curious if anyone else has done any work on that
How can I make minerals bioavailable in phytate-rich foods? Would adding calcium carbonate (antacids)during cooking provide alternative binding sites for the phytates? I'm hoping that I can add calcium or iron tablets to prevent the phytates binding to the rarer and more useful minerals in the food. This assumes that the phytates are released from their bonds by cooking.
