I remember i once played a game where you played as either a witch or a grave-digger and you attacked zombies by shooting flames from a lantern. I also remember that the gameplay was basically bubble bobble. If you know the title of the game let me know.
Platform(s): Windows PC (I remember being able to play it on Windows XP and Windows 7).
Genre: Action Platformer.
Estimated year of release: 2000s-2010.
Graphics/art style: Cartoony and 3D.
Notable characters: Red Wizard and Blue Wizard (Analogous to Bub and Bob), literal living Scarecrow (obviously not from Batman, good luck ever finding an image online for this guy) as the final boss, random living objects as enemies, such as giant blue walking cups, female brooms akin to the one from Beauty And The Beast, kettles that blast fireballs at you, a possessed tap, and a red vacuum-like enemy.
Notable gameplay mechanics: Just like Bubble Bobble, but slightly different. When you lose a life, a large heart surrounded by smaller hearts comes out of you while youβre stunned, and you can catch it to regain a life with great effort. You use potion bottles/retorts instead of bubbles. Each aforementioned enemy has at least one thing that makes them unique from each other. The blue cups can make themselves temporarily invulnerable to regular empty retorts and you, and are temporarily harmless, the broom has a midrange wind projectile, the kettle fires a fairly quiet sounding fireball that goes until it hits a wall/surface, the possessed taps fly have singular big eyes and drop big water droplets that temporarily trap you but donβt make you lose a life. The Vacuum enemies fly at you, and if I recall correctly, they probably fire electric bolts at you. As mentioned before, the game is almost exactly like Bubble Bobble, with other potions for elemental attacks, potions that make a word for an extra life, permanent powerups that go away when you lose a life, being able to jump on potions, faster enemies after being trapped in potions and escaping them, touching the trapped enemies and getting score bonuses from the items they turn into, etc. Unlike Bubble Bobble, there are no invincible monsters.
Other details: The story involves two wizards experimenting with magic and accidentally causing chaos by giving life to objects and having to fight them off. The gameβs help section states that the aforementioned Scarecrow is the final boss. The main menu theme is kind of cheery and is heard during normal gameplay, and the loading screens have potions filling up with liquids, as well that accompanying a loading screen with the aforementioned living objects in 2D drawings looking forwards, and another 2D drawing loading screen with

Mt son(4 in dec) really wants to play bubble bobble. He is still learning the controls and basics of playing a video game. Ive tried to look up cheats to set the game to infinate lives or no death but i cant seem to find the password screen. Can anyone help me?
Anyone have Bubble Bobble 4 Friends? I just want to know how the old version is. BB4F is pretty expensive considering I just want to play the 80s version and I have a suspicion that I'll be disappointed and go back to my emulated GBA.
Does it have save state feature? Will I be stuck with an irritating border around the screen? Can I change aspect ratio/make it full screen? Can't find any info about this online, every review and youtube vid concentrates on the new game which I couldn't care less about :)
