Decided not to send squads to Junior World's or the Coupe (and cancelled Home Internationals), I just don't understand especially Home Internationals as it is basically Nat Champs just with a lot less people??
After making everyone's trials efforts over the year useless (At least 5 erg tests and Water trials in June) they don't give those who took part any consolation at all, not even putting on a camp for those who came through the process near the top (I didn't end up near the top after water performance but still know from others that BR did nothing to console their efforts)
Now have decided to make Indoor Champs virtual again?! And even worse they have brought them forward to September, having them in December meant we could have September to December to train after a summer of regattas and small break in August but now they expect us to be 2k ready by September when we have just gone back to school (literally a week after we return to school)
This might be an overreaction from me but I wanted to see what others felt about British Rowing's handling of events and the sport during the pandemic as I know these are tricky times but feel that BR have not been up to scratch...can they not see that the pandemic is on its way out?
Hi, so this is a bit of a odd post and ill take it down if its not relevant, but im working on a mod for a game and am looking to properly represent the British Armed Forces in 2000 but have come across some road blocks in sources. Some conflict with others and some don't provide all the information I need. If any knows of sites or has any resources they could point me to that would be very appreciated, I really need brigade structures and organisation if any has those also.
A British police officer was found to be a member of a Neo Nazi terrorist organisation, theyβve been involved with the murder of MP Joe Cox, planning the murders of other democratically elected representatives, planning the bombings of Pride parades and more, he also had possession of child pornography.
Do you thing this shows the problems with police forces as a whole, and continue to protest against them as has been seen in general over the past few years, or that socialists should join these organisations hoping to inspire socialist views within them?
Also any other thoughts you have on it.
All of the Overwatch cast has been hired to destroy the wizarding organisation in Britain. However, they are subject to the protective charms surrounding wizard places. They have a rough guide of where they should be looking. Can Team Overwatch, given enough time, find and cause damage to the wizard's community?
Bonus round: Overwatch is now considered wizard to spells.
Edit: holy crap this blew up last night. I now have more views than this sub has subs. Wow. Oh, for me?
I was thinking a strategic planning and sabotage mission to get around the magical limitations would do the trick. Of course if they YOLO into Hogwarts with no planning they would fail.
I am an American. In the USA, we donβt have darts tournaments anywhere near the level of sheer spectacle of the major televised PDC events.
Once things return more or less to normal, post-pandemic, I would like to bring my Dad on a holiday to the UK to attend one of the major darts events. I think we would have a blast.
My Dad started playing darts in the late 1980s, and he actually appreciates the proper game. He taught it to me. Then in the past few years, thanks to BBC America and Youtube, we finally became aware of high-profile professional darts.
My Dad is in his early seventies and still quite healthy. Iβd like to make this trip in the next couple years in case it becomes untenable later on.
Is there one of the majors that would make the best choice for a trip like this?
I have two major constraints:
Five days in the UK, max - I need to keep the trip down to this length. It's going to be tough getting my wife to accept the idea anyway, so I'd better keep it kind of short.
No driving - the British public do not want me or my Dad trying to drive on the left in your country. We need to be able to reach our destination by trains and buses.
Other than that, my Dad and I can be flexible enough. I've been to the UK before, just not for the darts, and I'm not worried about the basics of being a tourist there. I would be grateful for advice and suggestions about this project specifically.
Naturally, we'll bring some sort of zany costumes for the event. And we'll bring our darts and our beer-drinking appetites for the pubs.
Thanks in advance!
