Get those Christmas songs on, start the celebrations, and get ready for 3 weeks of non-stop darting action! It's the 2022 PDC World Darts Championship, and it promises to be a belter! 96 players will compete for the ultimate honour of becoming World Darts Champion, and for one of them, it will become a reality on January 3rd.
At our last event, the Players Championship Finals, we had three winners! nfcr3005, rbissen and JJ_Clutch all scored 11 points and became our Players Champions!
JJ_Clutch took the overall lead for the first time and leads samgoody2303 by 2.5 points going into Event 11.
Here are the full results from Event 10.
The best possible selection would have scored 17 points:
Peter Wright, 6 points
Brendan Dolan, 4 points
Vincent van der Voort/Daryl Gurney, 3 points
Gary Anderson, 2 points
William O'Connor, 2 points
96 entries means you will be required to pick 6 players.
Here are the "buckets" that you'll need to select from for Event 11:
One player from the top 8 seeds
One player from seeds 9-16
One player from seeds 17-24
One player from seeds 25-32
One player from the ProTour Qualifiers
One player from the International Qualifiers
The draw can be found on the prediction form.
You'll get 2 points for every game that any of your chosen players wins. If any of them hit a 9 dart finish, you will score a bonus 2 points (maximum one per player.)
Any players that withdraw from the event before it starts (due to COVID-19 or otherwise) will score 0 points. If you've already predicted and one of your picks withdraws, you can change your pick on the form - you can make as many changes as you like up until the event starts. If a player gets a bye as a result of a withdrawal they will not score a point as though it was a match win.
**Please come back and comment here to let me know you've predicted so I can make sure it's actually you and someone isn't j

Sports fans across the country are lettingΒ Boris JohnsonΒ know how they feel with hostile songs and chants as fallout from the No10Β ChristmasΒ party rows continues.
Fans could be heard singing 'stand up if you hate Boris' in unison at the 2022 World Darts Championship at a packed Alexandra Palace in northΒ LondonΒ on Monday evening.
So if you don't know, China is has created its own World Bank to compete with the WB.
The WB has certain conditions before getting a loan and the Chinese world bank doesn't have these conditions.
I believe that is how China can have influence in poorer countries.
These countries are less likely to speak out against the uyghur genocide happening in north west china because China is giving them money.
If the EU made its own world Bank to compete with China, that offered a better deal then the WB or China's world bank, then that would be a good thing, right?

Hello all! I've created a new league that blends iRacing with the characters and over the top personalities that come with professional wrestling. I'd love to find folks that are equally creative and goofy to throw down some theatrical madness to make each race a must see event! I will be hosting a meet tonight at 8pm to 10pm ET. Please feel free to message or comment if you are interested or have any questions!
I agree that an extremely decentralized federation would be the best government system possible if we try to make a worldwide government. I agree that this world government should only deal with global and maybe extraterrestrial affairs like climate change, pandemics, refugees, regulations of some stuff, maybe taxes, space exploration/colonization and some other stuff I can't think of now. However, I have my issues:
- What is to stop the world from being like a giant Yugoslavia? The different ethnic groups of Yugoslavia hated each other and the country relied too much on Tito to be held together. I don't know if the sheer diversity of the world would accept having the same leadership without aliens, sapient robots/AI, non-human sapient species or "enhanced" animals to make humans form a shared identity and hate them.
- I'm aware that democracy is the least bad method of choosing leadership out there, but what if a doofus is too popular and gets elected as the head of government? Many people are either poorly-educated, misinformed or dishonest. Also, what is to stop a dangerous extremist from surfing on a crisis and getting elected? What if people elect someone who doesn't like the idea of respecting human rights or some other vital principle gets elected, claiming that human rights "are organizations that protect heinous criminals" or something?
- Some nations, like the United States and China, would be worse off under any iteration of a world government. They would need to give up some influence and listen to a higher power. How to convince them to join? How to convince the other nations to join, as they were victims of imperialism?
- In order to achieve lack of borders or even open borders, we need to solve the issues with wealth inequality between nations. Just look at countries where there is a huge wealth gap between two or more regions: Germans in the eastern states move to the west or Berlin, northeastern Brazilians moving to SΓ£o Paulo, among other examples. In order to lessen this gap, a wealth distribution may be needed. How to convince the wealthy nations to cooperate with that?
- What is to stop the world government from doing the typical vices of national governments like corruption, negligence and persecutions against minority groups? The amount of power given to the WG politicians would be enormous. Even being a leader of a small group of ten or so people can be very corrupting.
P.S.: another point I had forgot:
- Wouldn't a worl
