A list of puns related to "Bona fide purchaser"
A has a good. B steals the good, sells it to C (who is a merchant). C sells it to D, a bona fide purchaser.
B is a converter, and C is a converter (for receiving converted goods), but would D be clean because they were a bona fide purchaser from a merchant who deals in goods of that kind?
Does a bona fide purchaser who buys for value without notice something that is stolen get to keep it?
Say a BFP purchases in good faith stolen chattel from a thief. I know that the thief only had void title and thus cannot transfer anything more than void title to a BFP. However, if the BFP significantly increases the value of the chattel, can the doctrine of accession apply and provide the BFP with an argument to retain ownership of the chattel?
I am not going to name names because the community has done a really good job of downvoting these jokers. The ape immune system is strong when it comes to irrational posters. I do though want to point out what these attacks look like and how to recognize them because our nature is always to want to support a new ape with a picture of a nice shiny bar or stack. The sign that something is wrong is this; Attacking PSLV without saying a word about SLV. That is your clue that you are being played.
Many commentators who have looked at the prospectus for SLV have assessed that it's likely fraudulent; https://investmentresearchdynamics.com/the-ishares-silver-trust-is-likely-a-fraud-slv/
I am a long time investor in PSLV. I have found nothing over the years to cause me to lose faith in it.. and I am a very skeptical person. I recall years ago someone documented their taking physical out of PSLV and exercising that option, which is unique to PSLV. Anyway, I am a stacker first, and also own PSLV. They are complimentary. Buying PSLV helps the Silver squeeze... buying SLV helps the banks maintain their paper game. It's that simple. SLV holds their "Silver" in bullion banks.. PSLV is outside the banking system, in the Canadian mint vaults. Yes, this is still potentially under the banner of the Canadian govt and governments can do bad things... but there is NO solution that is completely devoid of risk. If is for that reason that I own PSLV, stack at home, and also stack outside the banking system, outside government facilities, outside of my home country, with a private storage company in Singapore. This is what diversification looks like to me.
Got a bit of a legal puzzler here. Here's the situation. My father is planning to gift me a handgun as a bona fide gift with no consideration or payment involved. If we were both WA residents this would not require a BGC or any FFL transfer - he could simply hand me the firearm and we're done (RCW 9.41.113(4)(a)).
However, I am a WA resident and he is an MT resident. I will be out in MT visiting him over Memorial Day. My current read on the statute and case law around transfers of firearms for WA residents indicates that for handguns to be transferred from out of state, the transfer must comport with WA statute. In most cases for a handgun, this would require a BGC and up to 10-day waiting period while the check is completed. However, given that it is an immediate relative bona fide gift, the only requirement that would need to be comported with is the 9.41.113 exemption, which exempts the transfer from the other requirements.
If this transfer was completed in any way within WA, including shipping or my father coming to WA, it would have to be transferred through an FFL to comport with federal law (18 U.S.C. Β§ 922(a)(3)).
I'm not clear if under 18 USC Β§ 922, I am still required to have the handgun shipped to and transferred by a WA FFL, as the transfer is not part of probate of an estate. My hunch is yes, because the transfer is between residents of two states and is therefore regulated by 18 USC Β§ 922 to require an FFL.
Any clarity would be great. I know this is a bit of a corner case, but the case law is thin on this particular set of facts.

First, let me clear up my intent. I'm not saying:
-That if you want to be a nurse or mechanical engineer that you don't need a degree. Those jobs requires specific degree.
-I'm also not talking about when a job that advertises "bachelor's degree required" but really means "top 20% GPA at top 40 college" or "we're only putting that down for political correctness, but to ensure our clients are satisfied with our employees' class background, we actually only hire Ivy League grads who could afford to do multiple NYC based unpaid internships" or anything similar where there is behind-the-scenes discrimination.
-I'm also not saying that people with generic college degrees wouldn't be statistically more likely to be successful at certain jobs, even if their degrees have little to no relation to the work. I'm also not saying that employers are right to discriminate because of this statistical correlation.
What I am saying is:
-If a job will automatically not consider someone simply because they don't have a degree of any kind but would consider someone with a low-value degree (e.g. a degree in communications from SUNY Albany with a middling GPA), then in reality, the job does not need a degree at all.
-There is basically no job where a smart person with work experience and a HS diploma could not do as well as a dullard who barely graduated college with a degree completely unrelated to the work.
-An increased likelihood that having a degree will make the person a better employee does not make that a bona fide requirement to do the job well.
Employers with a requirement would probably argue:

Hi everyone, my husband (US citizen) and I just filed the I-130. We are not sure if we included enough evidence for bona fide. We've been together since 2016 and married earlier this year, however, it is hard to have "financial evidence" because we're both still students abroad and although we do live together since 2017, we live at an apartment my parents own, so there is no lease, gas, or electricity bill with both our names on it. His parents are paying for his insurance right now and my parents are paying for mine, so that is not an option either.
We submitted a photoalbum of over 60 pictures with detailed captions spanning over the last 5 years, 4 affidavits of support from his family and my friend, proof of a joint bank account we held since 2017 (but it barely gets any transactions in because we don't have income), proof of a joint bank account in the US we opened this year (but again, barely any money saved because of our student status/lack of income), a bunch (over 20) social media posts over the years, a receipt for the hotel we stayed in for our wedding night, and a few airbnb reservations with both our names on it. Is this enough? Is there anything else we should submit as additional evidence?
I'm kind of excited for the interview because we've known each other (and our families) for years...our marriage is definitely legit and anyone who hangs with us will see that! It's just a little unconventional because we're in graduate school and in my country you cannot get loans as in the US, so we really depend on our parents/family loans until we finish school...hence "combination of finances" is really hard to do right now.
To the Nullsec/losec community, genuinely curious about combat pilots, or corps that you guys have run into, that have earned your respect or recognition in combat.
I've seen certain entities garner some notoriety in this subreddit, and would welcome a more balanced and mature perspective.
Im looking for more solo or small/mid gang combat reputation rather than full on alliance scale brawl-by-numbers.
Anecdotes would be most welcome.

Won this in an auction last week. In the world of Datsun Roadsters this is THE unicorn. First model year of the 2000 (2L vs the 1.6L engine of the 1600) and the only 2000 model with a low windshield. The windshield height was raised in 1968 and on due to safety regulations. The low windshield models are much more desirable due to the much better looking proportions. The 2000 roadster upon it's release pretty much put every other car in it's class to shame, from Triumph to MG. Paul Newman actually started his racing career in a 2000 Roadster.
This particular one ALSO has all the rare competition package options: Solex Mikuni carbs, "B" cam, and the rare large capacity aluminum oil pan. The competition package bumps the 135hp up to 150hp. This version of the 2000 was only produced for half a year, and as such from my understanding there are estimated to be less than 500 produced, and only ~250 of these have been accounted for. A few people on the Datsun message boards have reached out to me and the common sentiment has been that this is one of the most complete original 67.5 2000's they've seen pop up in many many years, right down to some absolutely impossible to obtain trim pieces that were unique to just the 67.5. All the interior bits, zero reproduction parts. As a longtime roadster enthusiast (I already own a 1966 1600) I'm giddy with excitement and a little bit terrified.
