Bob Hamburge should have been joining his Cretin High School 50th reunion this fall — the gathering delayed a year because of the pandemic. But instead, some of his classmates were thinking of a way to still find answers for him and his family.

It was 50 years ago that Hamburge was killed in St. Paul when he was a 19-year-old University of Minnesota student.

Now, with a $10,000 reward fund raised by his high school classmates and police taking another look at the homicide, Hamburge’s friends and family are hoping to bring closure to the cold case.

“We certainly understand this is somewhat of the needle in the haystack, as far as getting information, but there’s never a wrong time to do the right thing,” his brother, Mark Hamburge, said Friday.

Ed Cleary, a high school classmate of Hamburge’s and retired Minnesota Court of Appeals chief judge, said because so many years have passed, the person or people behind Bob Hamburge’s homicide may have died — but that doesn’t mean others don’t know what happened. People with credible information could be eligible for a monetary reward, Hamburge’s classmates said.

After reading a Pioneer Press article in August about Hamburge’s homicide, and his siblings who have dealt with the aftermath for 50 years, Annette Whaley asked her husband, John Whaley, if he thought a reward could shed new light on the case. Both Whaleys went to Holy Spirit Elementary in St. Paul with Bob Hamburge, and John was in his class at Cretin High School (now Cretin-Derham Hall).

Whaley and four of his Cretin classmates — Dave Ayers, Cleary, Mike Donnelly and David Eggenberger — took up the cause of promoting the Robert Hamburge Justice Fund at their high school reunion

Excuse me but I've got an idea on how I'd reboot Fillmore

STORY STRUCTURE

The story structure for the Fillmore reboot would have parallels but cleverly smartly parody cop shows, most notably cop shows of today like CBS’s Blue Bloods, NBC’s Chicago PD, and ABC’s The Rookie (and not the baseball Disney movie of the same name); however, it would also take inspiration from action films like John Woo’s Hard Boiled, and because of magic being in Fillmore and his friend could also go on exciting adventures outside of school as a Story Arc. Some plots would be ripped from the headlines and it would also tackle as well more serious issues with policing (police brutality, justice reform, etc)

Also in the reboot there would be a massive shootout once or twice per episode inspired by John Woo’s Hard Boiled shootouts. (with both sides using laser blasters and Airsoft as opposed to real guns after all it is a Disney show.) There will also be chase scenes as well (and sometimes a combination of the two)

Also, some seasons would have a 9-13 episode story arc and a central Big Bad in each of those arcs and a TV movie saga based on Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga.

HOW LONG THE SERIES WOULD LAST

It would last around 3 seasons with more should the fans want more with each season being 26 episodes each

DISTRIBUTION

It would be a Disney+ exclusive and only shown in the US and US allied countries. China will have no export.

CROSSOVERS WITH OTHER DISNEY SHOWS

The shows that Fillmore would crossover with would be Wander Over Yonder, Milo Murphy’s Law, Phineas and Ferb, The 7D, Star Vs The Forces of Evil, Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series, The Owl House, Big City Greens Lilo & Stitch, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, Teamo Supremo, The Ghost and Molly McGee, Future-Worm and DuckTales (2017) as a shared universe (Think of the MCU). Elements from other Disney properties (Like K.C Undercover’s The Other Side) would be used as well.

THE RATING

The rating would be in the TV-Y7 FV range, with lots of Airsoft/blaster gunfights and instances of brutality of students inflicted by Safety Patrollers, especially by Sasha. Language would be limited to insults (like grop, florp, etc)

THE ART STYLE

I would go for a blend of Amphibia and Ducktales 2017 art and animation style for all characters.
