Long post, TL;DR: Love coding, already did ton of it, even professionally. Like physics, can study electrical if forced to. Desperate to do masters in CS in US, specifically. Don't want to leave BITS. But also really want to study CS/IT, which I can get in BIT Mesra. Don't care about package if >= 15lpa. Masters more important. Care about student quality/environment.
I do have a genuine interest in CS (started programming since a early age, and loved it since) but couldn't get good enough marks to get cs. Courses like compiler design, OS are of great interest to me.
Somehow I managed to get BIT Mesra It in CSAB round 2. I'm super inclined towards the branch but I'm not sure about the college. My gut (and my father) says to go with Hyd ECE. I too want to be at a great college, especially after a drop. Leaving BITS just doesn't feel right. I also know I can get into IT easily from bits ece.
I'm inherently curious, and don't hate electrical. Physics is my second favourite subject after CS. I can study it to pass for 2 years, if I have to l. But I'm also incredibly lazy and CS will be much easier to study. Plus I'll get much more time to code. I'm also not at all interested in core electrical jobs. IT at mesra garunteed a decent coding job, plus I'll study what I love for 4 year.
I've done a lot of things including Publishing 2 shit games on playstore, developed a website using .Net as a freelancer, data mined using regex and a lot more in general. So I'm reasonably confident that I will be able to learn cs myself even if I take ECE.
I also want to do masters in CS (CS only, I don't think I'm capable of researching in any other field) afterwards. For me, masters is a much more important deal that placements. I have a irrational obsession towards living in U.S. and that's the only reason for wanting to do masters. If I can get a job in US directly, I won't do M.S.
I know that I ultimately, the decision is my own to make. But I'm super confused right now, and any input/advice will be really appreciated.
(I apologize for asking the same question asked by thousands every year, and for the long post. I also appreciate anyway who read it till here)
An amazing issue with a special blockchain edition featuring an interview with the director of the Nano Foundation, George Coxon.
3 pages of it!
A very interesting read, just look at some of the quotes:

What do you think of it?
People of Bengaluru , So MAHE has started constructing its new off-campus in Yelahanka, inside the BSF campus. How great will the college become in the future owing to its Manipal brand and since it falls under MAHE, How many opportunities will the first batch get and whether the college will be able to top the competition present already? Thanks in advance.
p.s - If somebody from this subreddit stays near BSF, How is our campus coming out to be and what details should we new guys know about our neighborhood. Like places for fun , part-time jobs e.t.c
Hi I am a HS Senior who applied Early Decision II to Stevens Institute. My sister, who is also a Senior, applied Early Decision I and was accepted (Business major). However her acceptance is conditional, she has to do an 8 week precalculus course because she did not take precalculus senior year (we both took Discrete Math). I took the same classes as her and I aswell did not take precalculus my senior year. Will I—being a Social Sciences major—have to take this course as well?
