A list of puns related to "Bennett High School (Buffalo, New York)"
Something has to give. The parents are upset but there are teacher shortages. What can be done? It's interesting that the article mentions how hard it is for a parent to get her child to focus on schoolwork. How does she think that plays out in the classroom? Tonya Harvey, 35 years old, was murdered on a dead-end street on February 8th, 2018. Buffalo New York Police have made no arrests, named no suspects or persons of interest. They state the murder was not a hate crime but family and friends may disagree.
February 4th, 2018
Tonya may have seen a murder four days before her death. Mother A.V. states, "What she witnessed she couldn't get out of her mind." -wgrz news
Allegedly Tonya would consume drugs and would tell what she had seen to everyone around her. The rumor said this would happen until a hit order was made to silence her. The rumor goes on to say that Tonya was leaving the house for the store. A few men were there. Tonya hollered and screamed before she was shot multiple times. It's possible she yelled out I don't have your money or stuff.
Eire County District Attorney John Flynn who is investigating Tonya's case reports they are aware of the rumors. They officially announced that to date they do not know of any eyewitnesses of the event. Those that had come forward all got their information via rumor. The info came from various sources.
There was a homicide on the day Tonya may have seen it. This homicide is still unsolved. It occurred on 134 Wick Street and the victim is Douglas Padre Johnson according to John Flynn. This victim was rumored to be a doorman for a drug house in Buffalo NY. In a news report, they say the victim's name isΒ Douglas E. Johnson but he was known by "Padre". Douglas was 47 years old. Discovered on February 6th, 2018 his body was snow-covered. After examination, it was found that he died of multiple stabbings. Wick street is also a dead-end street near Broadway and Bailey. Crimestoppers offered up to $2,500 and the Buffalo Police Department was offering up to $1,500 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment. Johnson's body was found the same night Tonya was killed and his body was three streets away f

I wrote it off as just rumors but on Tuesday we went into lockdown because of a video that was circulating of him showing it off. if you want to see the video an Instagram account called jmb_memes posted it. he was arrested and charged. The next day, Wednesday we went into another lockdown the entire day because someone wrote in the girls bathroom something along the lines of "ill be shooting up the school at 11" a lot of people were saying there was also a gun found hidden in the bathroom. Im bestfriends with the guidance counselors daughter so i asked the guidance counselor if there was a gun and she said "i cant confirm but i think so." Now its Thursday and more rumors that someone was planning to shoot up the school today are circulating. I'm still in first period and haven't heard anything yet but ill update if i do. I got a sickening feeling when my bus pulled into school today, half the students stayed home and you can feel the nervousness in the school.
here's an article about Tuesday

One of the worst people in journalism, is Eliza Shapiro. She is a supposed journalist at the New York Times, where she has been leading a Jihad against merit-based entrance for elite high schools for years. Why? Because too many Chinese and other Asian do well on those tests. What she wants is a system based on race, so that fewer poor Asian kids will be able to improve their future with hard work.
Last year, I wrote about this woman's propensity to put the label of 'segregation'.
This year, she's at it again. She's absolutely enraged that too many Asian students got admitted. She's once again screaming 'segregation' and claiming that people who want to destroy merit-based schooling are merely advocating for 'integration'.
> Richard A. Carranza, the cityβs schools chancellor, is under frequent attack from newly galvanized Asian-American parents who say they feel discriminated against, deep rifts between the cityβs communities of color have been exposed and the prospect of broader desegregation measures has dimmed. > > > Over the last several months, supporters of integration have pushed for more measures, most prominently a plan that would overhaul the cityβs separate gifted and talented program, which also has low black and Hispanic enrollment.
The funny thing is, even radical mayor Bill de Blasio (an ardent enemy of providing education based on merit) refuses to use the term segregation, which Shapiro has repeatedly attacked on Twitter.
> Richard Carranza's key refrain from his speech today is that this admin is confronting segregation by "naming the problem," "calling this what it is" - when of course the mayor has long refused to use the words "integration" or "segregation." source > > > Also Joe Biden uses the word segregation when he talks about public schools but Bill de Blasio wont - ok have a good night everyone source > > > What if a good school in NYC meant a racially integrated school, not just a school with high test scores? It's up to de Blasio, who has spent the last 5 years avoiding use of the word "segregation," to decide whether that proposal will become city policy: source > > > The mayor as you know doesnβt use the words segregation or integration and has been criticized by advocates for not tacklin

So I am in the midst of writing a short story that is set in New Orleans. My protagonist is a high school student from New York who is on a three day trip with his school and I can't figure out how they would travel. My stories often take place in the USA, even though I am from Europe and have never been to the USA. Normally, I have enough knowledge through movies or I can google things so that my story is realistic but in this case, I just can't figure it out. Whatever I search for, all I get is travel blogs (from solo travellers so it's not applicable to a high school class) and advertisements for travel agencies. So I have now come to you to please help me with my writing research.
Now, I know that Americans fly a lot more than your average European but is this distance long enough to justify a school paying for all those flight tickets? Apparently there is a direct train connection that would take 30 hours but would that even be an option? According to Google Maps, taking a car (or in this case a bus) would take 20 hours, which seems to be the most logical option to me since I know that Americans don't have as much as a problem with long travels as Europeans.
So basically, my question is: Imagine you're a high school student from New York going on a trip to New Orleans, how would you get there?
Edit: Wow! This got a lot more responses than I was expecting so I'm not going to reply to every single one of you but THANK YOU all for your replies. Some of you were asking for context: Basically, there is a science competition and the national finals are being held in New Orleans and this high school is sending their team from New York down there. After reading your replies, I think they are going to fly, so again, thank you.
