What I was imagining is that Akademi could be a special institution after High School for future workers at Saikou Corporation or pursue big careers in other big companies in the world. Itβs like an University but far more prestigious and for rich/smart students. I imagine that Ryoba was desperate to enter in a prestigious school and have a big career as an adult to see if she could feel accomplishment or/and meet someone who would make her feel emotions. Then Ryoba met Ayanoβs dad...etc then she empowered Ayano to go to Akademi like she did to see if she could find her own Senpai.

I'm retaking my As this year 2022 and am thinking of going to a prep school. I came across a few that are on the "Cheaper" side of the price spectrum and would like to know if anybody has any experience on these two preparatory school SSTC , BMC international college? Experience like the curriculum, how's the teaching staff, regimentation, how the class are like etc. I've read a few threads on MDIS but will also welcome more insights of the sch or any other private prep school for A level.

My counselor has asked me what should she select as an answer for CommonApps: "In comparison with other college preparatory students at your school, the applicant's course selection is"
In my country, we have strictly given what courses will we have for all four years. We have no choice which classes to attend and which not. The problem is, that there is no select option to indicate that.
Did someone have the same problem? What did you select in the box? How should she indicate that in CommonApp?
Obviously if you want to be a physicist math classes are incredibly important, English for writers, art classes for artists and such for each career or collegiate pathway. Knowing how to take care of your body is one of the most important skills to have and will help you in any career or life you wish to pursue.
Sex Ed and nutrition are also an important part of phys Ed classes and those are also insanely important. Ik the sex Ed programs are not at the top of their game in each school district but the more people learn about birth control and STIβs the more those programs have opportunity to improv in the future.
I didnβt do that great on my placement test because reasons..however I already have 30 transferable credits from hs like precal, world history, statistics, English comp 1 and 2, biology etc. can they force me to take the intro classes since I tested into them? And if so, wouldnβt I just be wasting my time since I did the majority of my gen Ed already?
My major is psychology.

Sorry for the long post, but I made a list of all the issues I have found with LPS and was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences.
- Many of the boys attending the school were extremely homophobic, while engaging in homosexual behavior themselves (note that I am extremely tolerant of the queer community and am an ally to the LGBTQIA+, just pointing out the hypocrisy).
- The staff was also incredibly homophobic, never failing to mention how βwrongβ being gay was, and would even insinuate that certain students were gay--incredibly traumatizing for teenagers who may be questioning their sexuality.
- Hazing was a thing
- Seniors were incredibly demeaning to freshman (called us out by saying βhey freshmanβ, upperclassmen generally treating freshmen like trash).
- During homecoming week, seniors could make freshmen do anything they wanted in the cafeteria.
- Embarrassing and demeaning stunts such as singing in front of everyone, asking a faculty or staff member to the homecoming dance, I specifically recall one poor freshman being forced to walk with a bunch of empty cups on a tray, and then falling down in the middle of the cafeteria, spilling the cups all over.
- Homecoming week also had freshman dressup day, where the seniors were assigned a freshman and could dress them up as whatever they wanted.
- I remember one year, a black student was forced to dress up in overalls and a straw hat, which is incredibly racist.
- Some male students were made to wear things such as female cheerleading uniforms or diapers.
- For gym class, we were forced to shower naked in front of each other, with some kids being noticeably traumatized/insecure about their bodies.
- Many students were extremely racist, islamaphobic, and antisemitic.
- Iβve frequently heard white Prep students say the N-word among many other racial slurs.
- Many students and staff had a distorted idea on Islam, associating the whole religion with radical groups such as Al-quaeda and ISIS.
- Many students displayed antisemitic behavior by making fun of Jews and Jewish stereotypes.
- Students who werenβt white and of German descent were definitely discriminated against.
- I.e. the freshman dressup day example I talked about earlier.
- Students from East Asian countries such as China and South Korea were laughed at for speaking their own native languages to each other.
- Bullying/mistreatment from my own friends

My girlfriend is a teacher there. We are upset and deeply saddened. I'm hoping maybe the media can report this. It seems so wrong.
Update I was contacted by Mahsa Saeidi Channel 8 news this morning and we are talking about what will make her feel safe and still be able to share our story
Update 2 My girlfriend was told by management that it is not going to happen. No official communication yet, but apparently the teachers have stood up to this and it also sounds like they did not consult legal counsel before this decision and they informed them that it was unenforceable. If there are any other updates I'll pass them along! We are so happy! Stick up for yourselves!
I am considering moving from a secondary to a preparatory school, the main reason is because there is an opportunity to be Head of Department at the prep school. Apologies if my title offends anyone, I do not believe it's a downgrade, but people that I have spoken to have immediately replied with that.
