Left Bavarian cream in fridge over night. Too thick. How can I fix without ruining it?
I am trying to use the Bavarian cream as a filling for strawberry croissants (if I can get the croissants right) and the recipe said to chill the cream for 5-6 hours. After a few hours I went to sleep and probably chilled it for 15-16 hours total.
Will just letting it get to room temperature help? Is there something I can add to get it back to the texture I want? (Similar to a Bavarian filling in a Bavarian cream donut, maybe slightly thicker?)

In the late 80's, we were surprised to find some Pennsylvania Dutch-ish/regional things like those types of filled doughnuts and Long Johns (and raisin-filled cookies) at several Basha's around north/central Phoenix...for example the one at 12th St and Northern, however many years ago that existed :/
