Even more than bad company 2, battlefield 3, and 4, my most played BF game was 1943.
If you don't remember, BF1943 was a very simple release. There was no weapon customization and no progression. There were three different classes, each with their own weapon, and that was it.
As a relatively casual gamer, that game just clicked for me in a way that no other game has since. Everyone on relatively equal ground, using the same weapons, with a simple interface.
I'd love it if it were possible to recreate this kind of mode in Portal. Hope someone does.
Omg played battlefield 1943 with game pass on xbox serise x and wow. At first thought it would be like some old not so good game but boy was I wrong. This game is my new favourite game and recommended anybody who has game pass or considering getting game do it. It is everything battlefield and I do not regret getting.

Battlefield 1943 is still very active on both PS3 and Xbox. Xbox is significantly more populated due to backwards compatibility, however, a decent sized group of people still frequent 1943 on PS3 daily.
BF1943 is backwards compatible on Xbox as well as still being active on PS3.
Still many full servers, BF1943 is a more simplified version reminiscient of 1942.
Just fyi for those on console missing a more OG BF experience.
Hey guys, just stopping in to remind you about your forgotten sibling Battlefield 1943 - remember when it came free with the bad company 2 preorders? Good times...
Anyways, I was successful in getting the ranks fixed for Battlefield 1943 on Xbox, and I have recently acquired r/Battlefield1943. Anyone who loves the feel of bad company 2, remember that 1943 uses the same engine, so stop by sometime! Thanks to game pass on Xbox, a lot more people are playing lately, and I want to keep that momentum going. It’s a great game for anyone who is considering spending the $10.
Also, if you play 1943 you get the M1 garand when you play bad company, so that’s a thing.
Still love this game, play it on my Xbox 360 and great to see loads of you still playing it.
Here's some of the things I get the most satisfaction of pulling off.
(Important to note my main aim when I play is to help my team by capturing/defending bases and not mess about however I can't resist trying these every now and then). What are your favourites?
- Shoot a tank out the sky with my tank's rocket.
Find this much easier to pull off on Guadalcanal due to the varied mix of topography to get the right angle. I usually try to antagonise a plane by shooting it with the machine gun turret, bait it over to come towards me then shoot it down with the rocket. Most the time I fail miserably and get blown up by the planes bomb. But every now and then I time it just right and BOOM so satisfying.
- Fly a plane into a tank.
Usually load up some detonation bombs on the wings beforehand. Fly in the air and look for a victim marked on the map or by flying high. Again works best on Guadalcanal I find. Success rate for me is even lower than the first one. I'm awful at flying planes...
- Drive a jeep into a tank.
Same as the above really - use detonation bombs. This is a pretty common technique and easier to pull off than with a plane.
Bonus: Blow up a bridge on Wake Island just as a teammate is driving towards it, so they go hurtling down and crash into the ground underneath. Sorry but also not sorry cos it's too funny.
The air raid is so powerful but it isn't OP because it takes skill to aim correctly.
What a game! Been going for 10+ years, there’s always busy lobbies and the fact you have a limited choices makes the game so much more appealing, even in comparison to its modern equivalents! Here’s to 1943! ;)

I saw BF1943 was on Game Pass (EDIT: EA Play, but that will be a part of Game Pass so...still kind of correct?); I haven't played since 360 and I'm hoping there's still a vibrant community of players still battling it out when I fire up the XSX.
Came with my new Xbox, don't want them. Comment which one you want and I'll pick someone random in about 24 hours. Maybe add something funny or a random trivia to spice it up, just for fun.
Edit: Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for playing, but I'm afraid that is all the time we have. I will put the list of names grouped by what you asked for into a program that thrugh a bunch of methods randomly assign each name a number, and then recursively draw sets of numbers until only one of each group is left.
