Excluding Tio.. In the season 4 episode “Talk”, even if was unspoken, the twins seemed like they would die for Nacho.
Brave idiotas
There has been chatter of a Gus prequel series, which I think is a bit much, but I'd still watch. Mostly from a logistics perspective, the constant de-aging FX they would have to implement on Giancarlo.
Having said that, I think the true crime family to explore is the Salamancas. I'm definitley on Team Salamanca. These are the iciest and coldest mofos. From the Tazmanian Devil and Yosemite Sam mix of Tuco. To the bloody iceman Hector. The merchants of death twins and now, a new, never before seen fixer Kaiser Souze like Eduardo. Aka Lalo. This is much more rounded group. With the red-headed stepchild enforcer Ignacio thrown into the mix. This would be a more fun series to watch all on it's own. Respect to the Gus & Mike alliance, icons long before BCS season 1. I just feel like rooting more for the Salamancas for some reason. Am I alone here?
"Salanca money! Salamanca blood!!!" - Don Hector

A similar question was asked in Breaking Bad sub (https://www.reddit.com/r/breakingbad/comments/19bqjh/why_did_the_cartel_leave_hector_salamanca_to_rot/). However, I think the real question that we should be asking is: Why does the Salamenca Family (Particularly, Lalo) leaves Hector to rot in the nursing home?
Afrer S5E08 and S5E09, we've already learnt that Salamenca family has great fortune, they can spend 7 mil to bail Lalo out without hesitation (And there are still plenty of money in that "room"). SO, why don't they just get Hector back to Mexico for better care?
Or, let's say if Hector insists that he wants to stay in the States so he can watch how Gus Fring's empire falls, why can't the Salamenca family at least get him a nice place with dedicated personal care?
Let's not forget, Lalo has mentioned a few times how he values "Family", it seems like family matters the most to him. So I just can't see why he would allow Hector to stay in that place and sings happy birthday to some random old lady, while Lalo himself is going back to Mexico with Nacho.
Annnnnd... we should not underestimate this "plot hole", because it has a very powerful impact on how things would turn out in BB/BCS universe (spoiler alert): >!Let's say Hector was put into a high-class suite for personal care (it doesn't matter it's in Albuquerque or Mexico), Walter White would never have the chance to use him as a Human bomb to kill Gus in Breaking Bad.!<
So, I'm very bothered by this and I think the director and writer really needs to address this before BCS ends. And I'm curious what others think about this. Is this really a plot hole, or am I missing something?
Do they get laid? Do they entertain themselves with something? Do they watch Netflix? Do they even know what the word “fun” means?
