The author George R R Martin inspired the wall in the north from Hadrian's wall that was a stone barrier built to separate the Romans and the Picts tribes in Scotland.

"These Romans are crazy!" Asterix may just be the most famous Frenchman internationally. How have the Asterix comics shaped or misrepresented views of Gaulish history, in France and/or abroad?

On the one hand I suppose that Asterix would have massively raised interest in the Gauls for popular audiences (including myself here). To my limited knowledge this could build on state efforts in France to tie a national identity to the supposed Gaulish "ancestors" since the 19th century. On the other hand Goscinny and Uderzo were clearly no historians of Gaul, so I could imagine them popularising misconceptions as well.

Which pair of characters can successfully beat the Twelve Tasks of Asterix?

In the 1976 movie The Twelve Tasks of Asterix, Caesar challenges both Asterix and Obelix to twelve seemingly impossible tasks to prove whether or not they are gods. These tasks are, in order:

  1. Win a race against Asbestos, a Greek marathon runner capable of running fast enough to reach jet speeds.
  2. Throw an Olympic regulation javelin farther than Verses the Persian, who can throw a spear far enough to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
  3. Defeat Cylindric the German, a judo expert born 18 centuries before the invention of judo.
  4. Pass through the Isle of Pleasure without surrendering to hedonism.
  5. Survive being hypnotized by Iris the Egyptian.
  6. Eat the entire banquet served by Calorifix the Belgian, including a whole flock of mutton, an omelette made of eight dozen eggs, and a whole stuffed elephant.
  7. Escape the Cave of The Beast alive.
  8. Obtain Permit A38 in The Place That Sends You Mad without going mad.
  9. Cross a canyon full of Nile crocodiles on an invisible tightrope.
  10. Solve the riddle of the Old Man of the Mountains.
  11. Survive a night on a plain haunted by the ghosts of a Roman legion.
  12. Defeat every single gladiator, soldier, and wild animal in the Circus Maximus.

The rules here are the same as the movie: two characters must work in tandem to clear all twelve tasks together without failing a single one. Both characters can take on the task together, but if one character fails, the other has to clear the challenge for them.

Who can successfully clear all twelve tasks, and how do both of them do it?

Who were the Picts and how and when did they transition from a tribal to a feudalistic lifestyle?

There seems to be a distinct lack of information on them except for the fact that they raided Roman Britain. And from what I've read, they appear to have just become the Scots somewhere around the 12th century.
