AAPS Challenges the AMA on Efforts to Suppress Ivermectin Use in COVID
In a letter to American Medical Association president Gerald Harmon, M.D., the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) raises questions concerning the AMAβs βstartling and unprecedented position that American physicians should immediately stop prescribing, and pharmacists should stop honoring their prescriptions for ivermectin for COVID-19 patients.β
AAPS points out that many physicians disagree with the AMA, writing around 88,000 ivermectin prescriptions per week. Also the Chairman of the Tokyo Medical Association, Haruo Ozaki, recommended that all doctors in Japan immediately begin using ivermectin to treat COVID.
AAPS asks that the AMA state its criteria for advising pharmacists to refuse to fill prescriptions, or for stopping the off-label use of long-approved drugs, recognizing that some 20 percent of prescriptions are for off-label indications.
AAPS also asks for an explanation of AMAβs demand to restrict ivermectin to use within a clinical study while promoting mass use of novel vaccinations outside of studies despite FDA warnings of serious adverse effects such as myocarditis.
βWe believe that these questions get to the heart of issues of physician and patient autonomy, as well as scientific principles such as the need for a control group in experiments,β states the AAPS letter.

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 21, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As mounting βcaseβ numbers are defining βhot spotsβ and directing public policy, San Antonio ophthalmologist Kristin S. Held, M.D., president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), calls for a careful analysis of the statistics in the fall issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons.
βThe COVID-19 case counts, hospitalization numbers, and death counts are meaningless in their current fluid form. Their malleability primarily serves those who seek to distort reality,β she writes.
The new definition of COVID-19 cases adopted in Texas can result in 17 βprobableβ cases from just one PCR-positive patient, Dr. Held explains. βCOVID-related deaths can include anyone who has COVID-19 listed on the death certificate as one of the causes of death. It doesnβt have to be the first or second cause, and no COVID-19 testing is required.β
What happened around June 14-16, when βcasesβ spiked? Dr. Held suggests asking the following questions: βDid redefining what constitutes a COVID-19 case, hospitalization, or death change the numbers? Did federal financial aid to hospitals change admitting thresholds and practices? Did the withdrawal of the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) alter outpatient treatment, resulting in a surge of COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths? Was it the riots? Or what?β
One consequence of manipulating statistics is a financial windfall for hospitals, Dr. Held note

This website is promoting anti-vaccination with dozens of posts and letters from doctors and so much more. Are these real doctors or just bogus ones? I found out their ring leader: https://marilynsingletonmdjd.com/about/ She is MD JD but somehow I do not trust her doctorate being real. "graduated from Stanford and went on to UCSF Medical School.Β She then completed 2 years of Surgery residency at UCSF" two years of surgery residency? There is no record of her ever attending a medical school or even practicing at a practice or hospital. If she is for real, then Yikes.
I got sent a link of "Mask Facts" put together by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons today.
https://aapsonline.org/mask-facts/
their claims were...interesting to say the least: TLDR the smart people know that masks don't work; even if they did, people don't wear masks correctly; just get outside and sunshine will cure the scary virus.
I know part of the problem has been the WHO and CDC changing their recommendations over and over again, but I feel there has been more and more evidence that masks do indeed help stem the spread of COVID19. I don't mean to cherry pick a publication, but this meta-analysis from the lancet seems well done and argues strongly in favor of their effectiveness.
I was surprised to hear of a medical association being used to argue against the use of masks, and citing a RNs website as further reading at the bottom. A quick search led to their wikipedia page which does not mince words about the organization.
So heads up, the AAPS is a totally legit medical organization withdozens of members and has taken a strong stance against the government infringing on our rights by forcing us to wear masks.
BTW, the physician responsible for the article graduated from Stanford whose motto is " The wind of freedom blows" it seemed just perfect.
