Artichoke Lake Puns

I know it’s unlikely but wanted to ask! It’s way more peppery and creamy than any other spinach artichoke dip I’ve ever had. Any help is much appreciated!

Been meaning to do this for a while and thought now's the best time, when everyone is scrabbling for some answers.

Ok. My parents just showed up at my house today totally out of the blue. My mom just had her hip replaced. So she can’t walk much, stand much, sit much. I suggested we drive to either Yosemite or ave of the giants or sequoia for a couple days. But they don’t want to drive anywhere.

Suggestions of things to do with parents who can’t really walk? With CovID, I am stumped with what’s open and what to do and not to do.

Usually I spend 90% of my time hiking and kayaking and biking. Obviously all that it out of the question.

The funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.

The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:

"What's sarong with that?"

I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).

His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."

I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"

He responds, "it's dead grass."

I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"

.

He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.

I noticed that a lot of the lowest quality content in my subreddits often comes from users who select a suggested username on account creation. You know, that name format that's often "Adjective-Noun_Number", always with the first letter of each word capitalized, and optionally dashes or underscores between each element. This may or may not be the case for you, but when someone is looking for a quick throwaway account, they'll often use a username suggested by Reddit.

To account for this, I put together an AutoModerator rule that will filter posts from these users, here:
