A list of puns related to "Archival Disc"
Should there be a problem, is 25GB substantially more recoverable than 100GB?
What is a very good external M-Disc burner? Any suggestions on a favorite burning software?

Have all of the Xbox 360 demo discs from Xbox magazine been ripped & archived yet? If not, I have a handful of them that I don't want, I'm more than willing to send them to anyone running any kind of archival project if it'd be any help.
What is the /r/DataHoarder take on long term archival for personal data? What do you think of m-discs?
Thanks!
hey newbie here, what would be the general /r/DataHoarder take on the best means of long term archival for personal data? also any opinions on M-disc and their overall longevity compared to other forms of storage.
An any one advise if this is suitable or if there is something superior but not that much more expensive (tapes would be over kill for the volume I have that is important) I've had problems In the past with hard drives failures and DVD data loss. Looking to store a portion of my data slightly more securely. I've also noticed some data degredation on my hard drives where photos and videos are losing quality and starting to have artefacts. Would M discs prevent this? Data being backed up is family photos and videos (My daughter is 1 month old and I want to preserve our family memories)
My family keeps a large archive of reversal film with family pictures going back 40 years. The reversal film itself gets fainter every year, despite being kept in the dark at low humidity and temperature.
Now I scanned 100GB of the important stuff. Currently it sits in the NAS, with one on-site and one off-site backup.
I'd like to have another backup to put in the safe. I looked at M-DISC and found that its quite affordable (70EUR for e.g. LG BH16NS40 70EUR for 25GB x 15 media). So I could make two copies of those 100GB for 140EUR and keep one off-site.
Do you have experience with this or another long-term storage solution? Can you suggest alternatives?
Heard about it 2 years ago. When is it going to be released? CES 2016?
I have archived a copy of my recovery discs made on a VPCZ12Z9E. It's been years that I wanted a copy of these recovery discs, and I finally managed to find a unit with the recovery partition intact, so I uploaded them on archive.org hoping they will help someone at some point.
There's 3 ISOs that needs to be burned on 3 DVR+/R(W)s.
These discs might only work on the VPCZ12Z9E, I have not tested that, but if it indeed is locked for this model, it is possible to patch them to be compatible with other VPCZ1s, but I have not looked into how to do that.
Anyway, if you need any assistance, I can help.
I just started archiving music. Meaning I take it from a physical format to a digital. I was wondering if there was anyone here that does the same thing that I do.
I even started working on a archival group on Discord. Still laying down some ground rules and archival methods for media. The whole reason of me doing this is to keep media alive.
