Even if Anthem was delayed for a year, The Loot system would still suck because the Leads refuse any discussion about 'Destiny' pretending that the Shared World Looter Shooter Genre did not happen.

A lot of people generally think EA is at fault because of the rushed Development and Anthem would be incredible if it only had more time.

Would it though? It's clear from the Player's perspective our feedback on Loot doesn't matter to them. Neither does feedback from their own development team. The Devs would just get tortured more, more of them would probably quit and Anthem would be probably slightly better although more buggy who knows.

Just a crazy thought that came to me during a shower.

'The Little Things' breaks Denzel Washington's impressive 12 year/9 film streak of $20M+ opening weekends for regular wide release films. Since 2000, 17 of his 23 films have opened to $20M+.

The Little Things opened to $4.8M, an impressive total for an R-rated psychological thriller, that's available to stream day and date, and during a pandemic, but it does break Denzel Washington's streak of $20M+ opening weekends for regular wide release films.

After 2007's The Great Debaters, every Denzel Washington film that was a conventional wide release has opened to $20M or more.

  • The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009) - $23,373,102
  • The Book of Eli (2010) - $32,789,494
  • Unstoppable (2010) - $22,688,457
  • Safe House (2012) - $40,172,720
  • Flight (2012) - $24,900,566
  • 2 Guns (2013) - $27,059,130
  • The Equalizer (2014) - $34,137,828
  • The Magnificent Seven (2016) - $34,703,397
  • The Equalizer 2 (2018) - $36,011,640

In between those 9 films, Washington also starred in Fences and Roman J. Israel, Esq., both of which were awards season films that opened in limited release.

Before The Great Debaters, Washington had 8 more $20M+ opening weekends, for a total of 17 films over a 20 year period.

  • Remember the Titans (2000) - $20,905,831
  • Training Day (2001) - $22,550,788
  • John Q (2002) - $20,275,194
  • Man on Fire (2004) - $22,751,490
  • The Manchurian Candidate (2004) - $20,018,620
  • Inside Man (2006) - $28,954,945
  • Deja Vu (2006) - $20,574,802
  • American Gangster (2007) - $43,565,135

Since 2000, only 6 Washington films total have opened to less than $20M:

  • Antwone Fisher (2002) - $210,013 (Limited Release)
  • Out of Time (2003) - $16,185,316
  • The Great Debaters (2007) - $6,005,180
  • Fences (2016) - $129,462 (Limited Release)
  • Roman J. Israel, Esq. (2017) - $61,999 (Limited Release)
  • The Little Things (2021) - $4,800,000 (COVID-19, HBO Max Release)

While The Little Things obviously opened far below $20M, you could argue that in a normal situation, with Washington's stellar track record, and the presence of two more Oscar winners, this probably would have opened above $20M as well, furthering his streak.

What makes Washington's track record even more impressive is that a majority of these 23 films since 2000 are R-rated, almost none of them are family friendly (with the exception being Remember the Titans), only one (The Equalizer 2) is a sequel, and none are mega-budget, four-quadrant tentpoles (the most expensive ones are American Gangster, The Taking of Pelham 123, and Unstoppable, all $100M apiece).

Now, the question is whether Marvel Studios or DC Films will be the first to convince the notoriously picky and blockbuster-avoiding W

It has been over 2000 years since the Bible (and 1400 for the Qoran) was supposedly dictated by God and a lot of these books's teachings are outdated. Should there be an updated version provided by God

It has been over 2000 years since the Bible was supposedly dictated by God. And a lot of the stuff in there is ignored even by hardcore believers. Examples:

Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.Β LeviticusΒ 19:19

Ye shall not round the corners of your heads.Β LeviticusΒ 19:27

All that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you.Β LeviticusΒ 9:10

Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.Β ExodusΒ 23:19 (the fuck is even that?! Yes, GOD wrote it, sure)

When a woman has a discharge, if her discharge in her body is blood, she shall continue in her menstrual impurity for seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening.Β Everything also on which she lies during her menstrual impurity shall be unclean, and everything on which she sits shall be unclean.Β Leviticus 15: 19-20

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.Β Ephesians 6:5 NLT

No one whose testicles are crushed or whose penis is cut off shall be admitted to the assembly of the LORD.Β Deuteronomy 23:1 NRSV (?????????)

Qoran:

Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment, (Quran 5:33)

Hadiths:
"It is not wise for anyone of you to lash his wife like a slave, for he might sleep with her the same evening." Then he advised them not to laugh when somebody breaks wind and said, "Why should anybody laugh at what he himself does?"

It's the 21st century. There are a lot of these sort of things in there. Is GOD planing a 2.0 version anytime soon and also, can he imprint everything in our minds since he is good and not use "prophets" and low-tech tools such as stone tablets and books? Why does an omnipotent being even need a book... He can literally have his commandments be written in the sky 24/7

As a $2000.00 dollar backer of the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter campaign back in 2015 and having completed 2 playthroughs, having 100% the game and getting the Platinum Trophy for PS4, and after waiting 18 years for this story, I am disappointed in Shenmue 3. I no longer care if there will be a Shenmue 4.

This is not to say that I didn’t enjoy some elements of the game (I have highlighted these below), and at first I was really happy with the game. It felt like a Shenmue game, a true respectable continuation from 2. It was only after the monotonous grind this game became did I realise nearing the end of my first playthrough that very little story has been or will be revealed, and that is when my opinion on Shenmue 3 changed from a relatively positive one, to a mostly negative one that I have now. This is driven by the fact that the entire game’s story sees us attempting to rescue Shenhua’s father by having to beat two separate thugs (once in Bailu and again in Niaowu) by learning the same move TWICE in order to defeat them (and in order to learn these two identical moves we must submit to boring gameplay mechanics in order to make money so that we can eventually obtain the Body Check moves, even though I actually beat both of them with my default movesets on the hardest difficulty during their respective fights but was still forced to lose to both of them multiple times until I obtained the Body Check Move… twice). That is the ENTIRE STORY of the game. It repeats itself twice. This is very bad storytelling. I did not wait 18 years or give $2000.00 to the Kickstarter campaign for this to be the story of Shenmue 3. It honestly feels like a bad joke.

Overall, I am disappointed in this game and the fact that very little story was revealed throughout and that the story we have been waiting for 18 years did not conclude. I am also disappointed with all the calamitous decisions Ys Net had chosen to make during the Kickstarter campaign for Shenmue 3. Such decisions as the inability to divulge the level of financial support being received by Ys Net from Sony, Sega, Shibuya Productions and Deep Silver, the Epic Games Store exclusivity deal which led to the refusal to give backers refunds until pressure mounted, an overall poor marketing campaign for Shenmue 3 and falsely advertised Steam keys, and the fact that the DLC for this game was not given to Kickstarter backers who backed the project over a specific pledge tier for free or at the very least was not even included in the retail collector editions of the game or the digital deluxe and required ANOTHER separate purchase even after fans have backed this project with their own hard earned money is, quite frankly, beyond unacceptable and continues to highlight that Yu Suzuki and his team have no intention of ensuri
