A list of puns related to "Alexander Lee (entertainer)"
For those who don't know, The Case for Christ is a (in)famous Christian apologetics book by Lee Strobel. In one chapter of the book, Strobel interviews the scholar Craig Blomberg. On page 27 of this edition of the book, Blomberg says:
>The two earliest biographies of Alexander the Great were written by Arrian and Plutarch more than four hundred years after Alexanderβs death in 323 B.C., yet historians consider them to be generally trustworthy. Yes, legendary material did develop over time, but it was only in the centuries after those two writers.
>
>In other words, the first five hundred years kept Alexanderβs story pretty much intact; legendary material began to emerge over the next five hundred years. So whether the Gospel were written sixty years or thirty years after the life of Jesus, the amount of time is negligible by comparison. Itβs almost a nonissue.
This quote has been used often by Christian apologists. Now I am not the first person to point out how stupid this quote is. But as far as I can tell no one has made a post about this on this sub, so I figured I would repeat some issues with this quote that others have mentioned as well as add some points of my own.
So what is wrong with what Blomberg said?
Well first off, as Matthew Ferguson points out, there were biographies of Alexander written before Arrian and Plutarch wrote about him:
>Didnβt Alexander have a personal historian who traveled with him and wrote about his deeds during his campaigns? Thatβs right, Callisthenes of Olynthus (360β328 BCE) was Alexanderβs official biographer, who wrote contemporary to his life (not half a century later). This is a piece of information that would be covered in any undergraduate course about Greek history. Oh, by the way, there were other authors, who were eyewitnesses and who wrote either contemporary to Alexander (356β323 BCE) or within a couple decades after his death. Just to name some others:
>
>Anaximenes of Lampsacus (c. 380β320 BCE; Greek historian and contemporary)
>
>Aristobulus of Cassandreia (c. 375β301 BCE; Greek historian and companion of Alexander)
>
>Eumenes (362β316 BCE; companion and Greek scholar)
>
>Nearchus (360β300
I've seen this SO MANY TIMES here on Reddit, where people are generally more logical about kpop than on other platforms, so it's very surprising. Here are some examples I've seen myself of this excuse being used, in case you somehow haven't seen it in action:
Main argument: Idols should sing live more, especially when sitting/standing on stage when there's not intense choreography. It's part of their job to do so.
Response: Actually, idols are entertainers, so they don't have to sing.
Main argument: [Insert idol name] should have trained more in dancing before debuting. It's like they've been set up for failure because they're in a dance heavy group.
Response: Idols don't have to dance well; they're entertainers, not dancers.
Main argument: It seems strange for a member to have subpar singing and dancing skills, but still be allowed to debut bc they are visually pleasing.
Response: It doesn't matter if they can't sing or dance since they are entertainers and can shine in other areas.
First of all... who in the world made up this definition of kpop idols being entertainers?? They are k-pop idols, as in Korean pop idols. Pop is a genre of music. Of course their job is going to revolve around music. If they aren't supposed to sing and dance, why are they in bands/music groups??? Please make it make sense????
Yes, participating in variety shows, or modeling, or acting, or MCing does come into play in a lot of these idols' careers, but they originally debuted as a part of a music group. Singing and dancing is undoubtedly the main focus of their job. The other skills are auxiliary.
If you are hired as a cook at McDonald's, but you burn everything, you'll will be fired. It will not save you to say, "Well, I'm actually a McDonald's employee, not just a cook; I excel at taking orders from customers, which is part of being a McDonald's employee." You're still losing your job because you were hired as a cook. If you wanted to take orders, you should've applied to be a cashier instead. Similarly, if certain kpop idols wanted to kill it on variety shows or as a model, but not sing or dance, they should've taken a different career path. Claiming that singing or dancing is not the job of a kpop idol makes no sense at all. It's literally inherent in the definition of their title.
Seriously, I've seen this "idols = entertainers" excuse several times this week alone. On a post about live singing a couple weeks ago, someone responded t

Hello and welcome to a Special Edition of the Nugu Roundup!
What is this?: This is a bi-weekly feature designed to highlight the unknown/underappreciated groups and soloists working hard in the Kpop world that often fall under the radar. Please share your own information, favorite performance videos, fanmeet stories, or anything else relevant below!
Last roundup we got spent some time with ICU! This week , since it's Pride Month, let's have a Special Edition looking at songs and artists who've made strides towards Korean LGBT acceptance!
Standard 'Special Edition' rules are in effect, so artists that aren't strictly 'nugu' but who are underrated and/or not familiar with the greater Kpop community will be included.
Look at the first comment below for the winner of the 30th album giveaway plus details on this roundup's album up for grabs!
What is Nugu?: While in Korean it literally means 'Who' in the broader Kpop context it refers to groups that are generally unknown amongst the greater public. It doesn't have to mean they're extremely new, though it can, and there are of course varying degrees of 'unknown' which some groups having very strong niche fandoms and others being almost invisible. I take a fairly broad view and will include groups that may be known to some, but who don't have widespread name recognition.
Let's get on with the show...

Want an introduction into the best investment of 2021?
$CumInu Token
Why?
CumInu is being developed to be the best in industry online adult entertainment platform with the highest value proposition for models, users and investors.
For Models:
Models who interact with the platform and are tipped in $Cuminu pay only a 15% fee to the platform as opposed to 20% for platforms such as Chaturbate or OnlyFans. On top of that, since the main token on the site is considered an equity, when models sell and convert back to fiat for income, they face CGT liabilities on their income rather than income tax which can significantly reduce their tax liabilities for significantly large incomes. The choice to migrate to the platform is easy as the value proposition is better than any other platform on the market, including legacy platforms.
For users:
Users are able to stay completely anonymous the entire duration of their interaction in the platform. From the use of the anonymous token that the platform is based on, to their interactions with the models, the whole process is 100% anonymous. On top of that, since the primary utility token is built on top of the bsc network and is designed to be stable, users can rest assured that the value of the tokens will remain stable and that fees for transactions on the platform will be low and predictable.
For investors:
This is why you are here right? To make money and money you shall make. This token isnβt just about accumulating buyers but is split into two categories to provide the best value proposition investment this year.
Consider this:
The Cuminu ecosystem will be split into 2 tokens based on 2 cryptocurrency platforms:
The network utility token on the $cuminu platform will be based on the Binance Smart Chain network and will be stable. It will act as the primary currency for interaction with the cuminu platform and each transaction will incure a 15% fee. Of that fee, a portion will be sent to the Ethereum network to buy-back and burn a portion of the $cuminu supply.
The network speculatory token on the $cuminu platform will be based on the Ethereum network. Its price will be determined by new investors in the platform who stand to benefit from price appreciate as the platform grows in popularity but can also consider their initial buy-in as deflationary since the supply of tokens on the Ethereum network constantly decreases from the token buy-backs and burns.
