A list of puns related to "Acuity Insurance"
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Slow you say? Here is the list of the companies.

There are not many cases in which war erupts from first contact scenarios, as it has historically been peaceful with the violence occurring many years afterwards. That is, unless you were at Turek Soorj; One of humanity's first experimental colonies.
It was not a misunderstanding, intrusion of governing bodies or an offense to any unspoken law of the universe. They just happened to stumble upon one of the secret headquarters of an infamous crime syndicate, "Milu Kuka".
Though the Milu Kuka strayed far away from Turek Soorj, and only observed them from afar, their developments reached far beyond their own projections and began to uncover their secret operations.
Thus, to prevent further developments from occurring, they decided to besiege the colony; acting as both an insurance and to at least gain an easy payday. This ushered in a first contact war where a single human colony was cut off of all communications and had to face down one of the most brutal criminal organizations to terrorize the galaxy.
There is a reason why the Siege is regarded as a war. Instead of a one-sided slaughter, what was supposed to last several days, got dragged on for two earth years. In part of this, the Siege of Turek Soorj, even after 50 years, became one of the most important study pieces for any scholar or war historian on how preparation and ingenuity can win battles.
For the Museum of First Contacts on the Planet Lensco, it was one of their best documented events; not in regards to coverage, but in sheer detail and depth.
Leading the typical group of visitors, the tour guide finally got around to introducing them to the Human exhibit for first contacts. Due to their design choices, instead of open displays or artifacts left over from their respective events like the others, humanity had been reserved a singular large dome room. Before he properly began, the guide lifted up a tentacle.
βRaise your equivalent appendage if you believe the humans on the Turek Soorj colony were average people?β Over half of the attending party raised an arm high, with some others sheepishly doing half-hearted raises. The leader shook his head and sighed, βcommon mistake. A fatal mistake. As many mistakes humanity has made over the years, this is not one of them.β He initiated the exhibit. The entire room went dark before, in a mesmerizing display, materialized a comprehensive reconstruction of the colonyβs vessel, the EASS Azov, when it first made launch from the Northern Sinop province i

I am having a hard time getting general liability insurance for my Etsy shop that sells lip products. Anyone have any recommendations for an insurance provider that is reasonably priced?
Do your worst!
Hi all:
I received a bill from the hospital where we took my daughter for an ER visit for croup over the summer. It included a bill for $404 that wasn't sent to insurance for ER code 99284-- I had to dig into their online records to find what it was for. I'm going to ask for justification and documentation to show why it was categorized an ER visit of High/Urgent Severity (she was breathing fine upon arrival and wasn't rushed into a room)-- Beaumont charged insurance $2544 for the visit already and received a $100 co-pay from us and $679 after the Blue Care Network discount.
If I do ever get through to them, anything I should have or do to dispute this charge? I'm certainly going to ask them to bill insurance first, though I'm not optimistic they'll pay... To be a level 4 the visit must include a:
I'll ask for documentation of this as well. My hope is if I'm a pain in the ass they'll leave us alone.
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this and you're all about diagnostic coding ;)
Thanks for your help!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
I am so overwhelmed lately hearing my coworkers discuss symptoms of severe anxiety, depression, addiction, sleep deprivation etc etc. While I am happy that so many people feel comfortable coming to me to discuss these feelings, most of these conversations end with βbut I donβt want to talk to anyoneβ. We meet people every shift in the hospital setting on the worst day they have ever had. Emotions run high, acuity is higher than ever, patients are more audacious by the day. Itβs OKAY to not be able to process the constant bombardment with staffing issues, death, pay issues, stupidity, anxiety, guilt, anger, sadness, entitlement, noncomplianceβ¦yβall already know the endless list of daily work emotions. But we have to stop being noncompliant as well. If youβre suffering- find a telehealth psych, find a therapy group, admit you might need meds, take mental health days, donβt feel guilty for staffing- that should be backed by a strong float pool. We pay for insurance, letβs use it. These past few years have been hard (okay ridiculous) but we chose this for a reason. we might hate talking to MDs sometimes, but bear it for a moment for yourself and maybe save a bit of heartache/sleep/anxiety/rage/bubble guts/dread/stress/whatever. I see you and I feel you, I just want you to know youβre not the only one that cries on the way home from work with no music on.

Location: Greenville, SC
Clinic: The Lasik Vision Institute
Surgeon: Dr. David O'Day MD
Procedure: Wavelight Contoura
Acuity 2019: -4.75 both eyes
Acuity 2021: -5.00 (20/600) both eyes
Corrected acuity: 20/15 both eyes
Cost: $4200 after $1100 insurance discount ($1200 down with 6 months interest free financing)
First visit was easy. It was just like a typical eye exam, except with a few extra steps and thankfully none of those machines that puff air into your eye. The doctors and staff were very friendly and kept me informed of my options. I had no astigmatism and healthy eyes, so they recommended LASIK over PRK. I opted for Contoura because I read about it having better results and a higher chance of reaching 20/15 vision. This turned out to be a great decision.
Second visit was surgery day. They called in a prescription for valium aka happy pills. I took one the night before and two on the day of surgery. They make you wait until you sign your consent forms before you take the pills, and I recommend doing so around an hour after eating a light meal (half a sandwich and a banana). These will make you agreeable enough to get you through the procedure.
The procedure was over before I knew it. I had some trouble keeping my eyes open (I had the urge to push down with my eyebrows, which mildly annoyed the doctor), but I got through it easily. I don't remember anything from the procedure other than the cold touch of the stainless steel eyelid holders, the brilliant patterns of the laser and the zaps of the pew-pew machine. It was over very fast and completely painless.
After surgery my mom drove me home. I put in my eyedrops, took some ibuprofen and took a nap. I woke up around 4 hours later and felt great. I went for a walk outside and I had major glare from the street lights, which has since improved slightly as of writing this post. The doctor told me it would last for a few weeks as my eyes heal. I also had a persistent "eyelash in the eye" feeling up until around 24 hours after the procedure, and that has gone away now too. I have perfect 20/15 vision and no other negative symptoms.
Third visit is scheduled 4 weeks from now. If everything goes well I may or may not update this post.
Overall an amazing experience.

Hi everyone, To start off, is going for a BSN really worth the time and money in Southern California if you already have your ADN and RN?
Instead after getting my ADN/RN, could I do a nursing internship and build experience that way?
Also, what are the pros and cons of travel nursing? Can a US licensed nurse practice abroad?
Pilot on me!!

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.

There hasn't been a post all year!
It was about a weak back.

Or would that be too forward thinking?
When I got home, they were still there.
