A list of puns related to "About Us (song)"
I was about 8 and a friend's dad was driving us somewhere when American Woman comes on the radio.
Friend's Dad(FD): Guess who sings this song?
Me: I don't know.. The Beatles?
FD: No, Guess Who
Me: The Eagles?
FD: Guess Who is the name of the band
Me: groan
My dad, sister and I were driving home the other night when a U2 song came on the radio. He asked us if we knew what the song was about (Sunday Bloody Sunday). I knew, and mentioned it's unfortunate source. My sister then asks from the back seat "Are U2 Irish?" to which my dad responds "Nope! We're Canadian!" and then begins laughing so hard that he is practically in tears and snorting. He didn't stop for a good 2 or 3 minutes. My sister and I just shook our heads slowly.
My band had a performance yesterday. We have three saxophone players. One of plays only Alto saxophone, one of them alternates between playing Alto, Tenor and Baritone saxophone and the last plays both Tenor and Baritone saxophone.
The second two kept swapping each other's instruments or one of the other saxophones they had in the background. So at one point we had to wait for them to change while the rest of us were all ready to start playing the next song.
So, trying to make it less awkward for the audience I turn to them and I says 'I'm sorry, they're just playing ... Musical Instruments'
There was a collective groan/laugh from the audience and the drummer went ba-dum-tish And the trumpeter gave me a little wah wah wah waaaaaaaaaaaah
I'm still giggling about it.
The lecture was on urban birds and he was telling us about how Mozart had a pet starling that he loved so much he had a funeral for it after it died.
Mozart even wrote a song for the starling immediately after it passed away.
You could even say that when his pet died Mozart began composing just as the bird began decomposing.
